I do not give a shit about this award. When an award is given for an entire season it should be given AFTER and not during the season. Also remember 2010, when Lamps and Drogba scored and assisted for fun and were by far the best players in the league? Rooney won both player of the season awards. I think "2 or 3" players is an understatement by Gourlay, we have to sign at least 4 to be competitive again. A striker, a winger, a holding midfielder and a regista. IMO we should go for Jermaine Lens, who is fast as hell, can play on both wings and as a striker, can dribble, finish and sometimes also cross. He might come across as a poor man's Walcott at first, but he is better at shooting, crossing and IMO his movement is better. He has recently been capped in the Dutch national team and is up and coming after a rather slow start.

But he is just another AM with some fine skills but no real pace. We are overloaded with these already.

please not... Rafael is only playing for Utd cos they do not have any other players for that position who aren't shite too atm. Apparently the art of crossing precisely is somehow gone lost. The quality of crosses in Europe's top competition actually does not differ too much from the amateur leagues in Germany. We have similar completion rates here and just as often as Alves, Arbeloa, zabaleta & Co hack every third cross into the opposing sideline.
