  1. Plus Mario Gomez comes across as dumb, arrogant, self-centred, mentally fragile, all the time trying to cover his ineloquence with stupid sayings and jokes. Even though he is of Spanish decent, he does not really speak a foreign language in a way someone can understand him. So all in all pretty similar to Torres.
  2. like for like then :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: If the board wants a player whose only assets are his height, strength, pace and ability to be in the right place at the right time in unimportant matches against shitty oppositions, I offer my services for free. Like any Gomez is past his best, which was when he scored shitloads against shitty defenders. He can shoot, head and poach at times, but is only profitting from the service players like Kroos, Müller, Schweinsteiger, Robben and Ribery deliver, who even though I think they are overrated themselves are worlds above most bundesliga players. Buying him would be the biggest mistake since buying Torres, cos he is exactly as reliant on pin-point service. Bayern's strikers always had prolific strikers, cos they always had the best midfield in the bundesliga. But it is tough to remember when they had a true worldclass striker. Luca Toni, Miro Klose and Roy Makaay were much better than Gomez and still not neccessarily worldclass. Keep Ba, Recall Lukaku and buy a fine 23-27y.o. small, agile poacher and we are fine in that department
  3. Yeah a player like Modric is exactly what we need. And those players are rare as fuck. There are shitloads of flashy AMs or technically limited DMs but few players as all-round skilled as Modric. To play a double pivot u need two palyers that can pass, tackle, hold the ball and cover ground. Modric can do all of this, but unless we find s.o. like him we probably have to buy an entire new double pivot to fully assemble these required abilites. Modric himself is already 27 or so and will cost immensely.
  4. I don't give a shit about Utd. But as a lifelong football fan I cannot accept my sport being ruined by pathetic refereeing no matter who is handicapped by it.
  5. It's not only Utd that was slain by the ref, another little piece of football was buried today.
  6. what a save by lopez once again. They did not miss casillas in these matches
  7. ref can't even judge a throw in correctly.
  8. Utd still have loads of chances. We were one man and 2 goals down, away from home, got a cheated penalty against us, had no chances at all and still kicked Barcas asses.
  9. Utd can do nothing now. They are not Chelsea and have no RDM.
  10. Real were never going to score without the energetic help of the ref. This decision does not only decide the game but will change the entire competition. This was on course to become an excellent, tense CL game which would have been advertising for football bu now nothing can conceal what football actually has become. A sport that is ruined by biased, anachronistic governing bodies, incompetent refs, fixed matches and a swamp of corruption.
  11. That's it. Ref has thrown ManUtd right out of it.
  12. after his abysmal performance in our game vs barcelona last season, this ref should not have officiated one single game. Now he has again made a massive mistake. Last time it made no difference, but this time...? Refereeing is at an all time low these days.Don't know, if he only is an idiot or if the matches are fixed/instructed by UEFA again.
  13. ref obviously got instructions against english teams.
  14. deserved lead for Utd. they were always going to score first after this dominant first half. But alters nothing. Real have to score either way.
  15. Real far from impressive so far. It is their strongest team, whilst ManU's is not even close to their best possible lineup
  16. what a tackel by varane, just in the nick of time
  17. other than Fabregas dive against Drogba last year, this was a penalty.
  18. The referee is the guy who almost won Barcelona the semifinal 2nd leg at the Camp Nou last year. but 10 brave men had other plans.
  19. That's why nani is so unreliable. Almost outrunning Real defence in the one moment, absolutely making the worst of a corner kick forcing Evra to get an early yellow in the next
  20. United are playing like pressing LB+triangle (high, long pass into space) all the time
  21. Don't get welbeck as no.10 either. He is a runner, a leaper but surely no passer. You can play him as winger or striker due to his strength being physical predominantly, but van Persie will be isolated with Welbeck behind him
  22. Wtf is Fergie's lineup? young & Valencia are waaay better than Giggs and Nani. He got Kagawa, Hernandez, Rooney, Valencia and Young on the bench with 5 argaubly worse players playing for them. He might speculate on extra time, still he surely knows he can only sub on 3.
  23. I am pretty sure they won't win both but on one point I agree with them, whoever wins at Old Trafford tomorrow will claim the Champions League title. With Barcelona as good as out, the competition is limited. Bayern will fuck up soon enough, AC Milan do not stand a chance against either over two games, Juventus will probably come closest but they are a worldclass striker away from the top prize, Dortmund I would not consider due to their lack of experience.
  24. Characteristically wasteful display from Oscar and Mata almost cost us dear.
  25. "Divided we Fall #Rafa Out!" Sounds great, even though I dunno whether this is the right attitude. Rafa never had a right to be here and it is down to Abramovich not being in the game that he is here, but now we can't change it and Rafa is right we should get behind the team.
