  1. well he won the golden boot in Euro 2012 with 3 goals and 1 assist. those coming in the two matches he played, the one a 4-0 win over ireland and the other goal and the assist against an already beaten italy side. Funny thing is, he was tied with some other players, I think Balotelli and Gomez who also had 3 goals and one assist. He got the boot because out of these 3 he played the least, resulting in him having a better goals/mins ratio. In 2013 he won the golden boot of the confed cup thanks to scoring 3 or 4 against Tahiti, a game he also missed a penalty. Ahead of Fred, who only scored one goal or so less but scored in the all important games including the final, but not against Tahiti, cos they were not in the same group as Brazil. You can talk about deserved or not, but one thing is evident. Somehow the circumstances always go in Torres favour no matter how shite he plays. At liverpool he complained they would never win a title, at chelsea and spain he has won every major international trophy there is complains the team does not play to his strengths, whilst all the time being paid unbelievable amounts of money. How fuckin delusional can a man be? If i would have the chance to play for a team like Chelsea for any salary i can at least live from, I'd not even think of complaining. And don't start with "He is a better footballer". Honestly, there are hobby players who are better than Torres. It is not that I hate Torres or dislike loyalty, but Torres does not deserve it, so it just saddens me when an already rich player with full title cabinet gets all that faith and opportunities others would not only kill for but probably would reward it with goals, only for Torres to moan around about playing style.
  2. If Torres makes it again, it is official, Del bosque either has a soft spot for him or Torres has a mighty lobby. No sane coach would rather take Torres instead of Negredo, Llorento and Navas only for footballing reasons. All three offer something different and are better players. Honestly anyone got an idea, why Jose and del bosque two of the best and most succesfull coaches in the history of football pick a vastly inferior player at all (those "he is a master of blowjob" comments ain't too funny anymore^^)
  3. yup. let's hope some people feel so turned on by his incuriously chipped penalty they take him off us. Not gonna though. It's strange. Every year we hope Torres will finally be gone in summer, even though we all know no one will be stupid enough to pay his wages and Torres will not be stupid enough to leave on his own given the shitloads of money he earns here.
  4. The rest of his game was actually quite decent given that spain were abysmal.
  5. with that attitude no wonder he does not score. Him selling shirts is the only reason he still plays for the 1st team. At the end of his contract he will have more than amortized his price.
  6. Lol @those rumours. Atletico are never gonna mess with us. We got the leverage as we got the money. We could simply take their best players away paying their release clauses. The same applies to Thibaut. if he continues his "no emotional connection to chelsea" BS, he risks his carreer. We could let him rot in the reserves the 2 years left on his contract and make him vannish into oblivion. As for Costa, he will come here, if we want him to, for the price dictated by the buyout option. He's 25 and I know the body starts to decline from there on, but slowly at first. A player at 30 is, given he has not burned out his body already, not much slower than at 25. Esp strikers profit from experience when they get older. Miro klose, one of my favourite strikers played his best season with 29, also van persie was 30 when he won Utd the league, ribery hit his peak at 30. Costa is a late bloomer and not signing a player during his peak, only because he is 25 would be the wrong signal.
  7. Usually deals are agreed subject to a medical. If the medical is after the WC and he fails it, the contracts are null and void. So we are on the safe side, as long as we do not skip the medical like we did with Torres.
  8. It was a mistake not playing him instead of loaning him out, but we would be complete mugs, if we waste don't give him a proper chance now. He is much more complete whenever before. His first touch has become decent, his movement is intelligent, he works intelligent and his right foot is a weapon, too.
  9. Nothing to do with history. Real haven't won the Champiosn league 10 times. There seldom are logical and right conclusion you draw from history.
  10. This decima BS is so infalted by the fact that Real won the first 5 competitions whilst there was no real competition. IMO one should reset the counter to the time the CL was actually introduced in the 90ies. NO one gives a shit about what happened in the Stone Age.
  11. So what about Marchisio? He is in his best years, has some pace, is skilfull, is a better passser than Pogba and his workrate is amazing, as he has to cover the lazy pirlo. Alos vidal, i never understood how we did not even try to buy him in 2011 when he went to Juve. he already was a beast in Leverkusen and destined for the top. Even though no one could have predicted he would become one of the best box-to-box midfielders to walk the earth, he always was the more complete player than ramires.
  12. True. I'd also ratify the sale of Luiz for that crazy amount as he is not worldclas in any position. Maybe I am too romantic about this, but I believe their passion for the club and their strength of character ultimately contributed as much to the succes Cech-Terry-Lamps-Drogba axis brought to the club. Those traits can't be replaced by money but if we have to, we should use it to get new worldclass players and not sit on our money to be rich for the sake of it.
  13. Class players are more important than money. So we have to make sure that we sign some gems with class and personality and not waste it on average fair-weather players like paulinho. We got more than enough money to get whoever we want and still comply with FFP. I respect fans who say, their loyalty belongs to the club, but I also identify with players, characters who have carried the club and whose loyalty can't be replaced by money, I'd rather be in debts and excluded from the CL but with some legends you can look up to than being a filthy rich club without soul which wanks about its transfer revenues but can't get a decent team together with players which don't have character to earn the success.
  14. PSG home, incredible performance as single midfield player ManUtd 2011 just after he joined us and bullied Rooney all over the pitch ManCity 2011 watertight in defense and scorer of the winning goal Arsenal this season Basel and many more. The thing is, he could easily provide great performances but in so many matches he committed unnecessary but costly mistakes. And in football making few mistakes is the first priority for a defender. And once more, what a great guy he is, I will never forget him, he was great for the club's image and team spirit, I hope I meet him one day to take some funny selfies or a tour with a golf car
  15. I don't get why people are so excited about him, yes he is a very young and accomplished defender, whilst Jt, Cahill and Iva are not getting any younger, but come on. It is not htat there is a shortage of good CBs in the world market right now. When there is an opportunity to buy one, well be it. Though as U21 CBs we already got Zouma, Kalas and Christensen is rumoured to be not that shabby either. It is rather the age bracket I am more concerned about. When Terry retires next season we should have an experienced CB to replace him who is well in his twenties in the best case.
  16. So sad to see him leave this quickly. I hope he will be more appreciated in Paris. I always loved this guy, not a single scandal in his entrie but time and nothing but smiles and jokes.Surely he has been great for team chemistry, but for that money you just can't refuse. Things got real with him and Mata. Hope the direction he is taking us is sustainable. Keeping Ba and Torres, selling Luiz and Mata, buying Salah... But when PSG think, they can have hazard, lol.
  17. does not matter. he scored his pen the exact same way in the cl final.
  18. Dafuq is the price now 50m pounds or euro??? Anyway. fuckin steal. We can fund any player we want with that money.
  19. 50m pounds is ridiculous. Most expensive defender ever? This 61,75m €. I would sell anyone except Hazard for that money.
  20. Well he is 24 and already worldclass, 20-25m is a fuckin bargain. The sky is the limit for this guy, the problem is, can he play in the pivot? Mou obviously wants a quick player there and Kroos does not even have half the pace of oscar or even Willian.
  21. This tournament's England team is the most interesting since 2002. In 2006 and 2010, they had a squad that was scary on paper, full of (aging) Superstars - tired and without chemistry. This year I have no idea about the chemistry, but on ecan see what impact youth had in 2010, when Germany included, Müller, Özil, Badstuber, Boateng, who all were in their very early 20ies. Their sharp, reckless style would waltz almost every team down. England this year is more balanced in terms of age than ever. The youth input might not be as technically accomplished as Germany's in 2010, but Sterling, Barkley, Sturridge are physical beasts who can run all day long, which is important. In such a tournament, not running out of steam is more important than class. Even though you need both to win it. IMO Woy is an average coach, just as Joachim Löw. But it does not prevent a team of talented player to play good football. England's success at the WC depends on how coherent the selection of players works together and how they get used to the heat. The ability to reach the quarter final is there. They can beat or at least draw uruguay, cos England - on paper - is more balanced and should be able to play with the ball as well as counter attack. So imo 5 points are possible but 4 will not be enough. In the 2nd round they would get Ivory coast or Columbia if they are clever enough to finish 2nd. Either should be no big deal. In the quarter finals, my country will await, which usually means Auf Wiedersehen for you guys. Anyway, I like the team and i hope it gets far, I'd have ----------------------Hart------------------ This year the goalies for once look eally decent. Fraser Foster can be invincible in big games, might be worth a shot, in case Hart loses form Johnson(meh)-Jagielka-Hart--Baines very solid and mobile, if they get the chemistry right, they can be one of the best defences of the tournament. Terry and Cole should be in the side, though ---------------Gerrard--Wilshere------- Might also play Hendo for wilsh, not a great fan of either Lallana---------------------------Sterling A bit risky, cos both are not the best defenders, but when you got that pace you have to use it. But probably Millner who has the pace of an old fashioned CB will play ------------------Roo---------------------- hope he gets on with his ----------------Studge-------------------- best striker in the country. The great thing aobut his team, when it does not go right, they can still throw in players like Barkley, Ox, Lamps who all offer something different. It will be interesting to see how Woy manages all those assets
  22. as i said, they tend to get one right every one in a while, just because they publish so much bullshit. As they are always sucking BAyern's incest-crippled balls, they get some information earlier than other papers, but only because most german papers are slow as fuck. Over here it does not count if you break a news a day earlier or later (just as our public TV has 4 times as much budget as BBC or CNN but still gets international news days later) but how well it is reported. Anyway some of my mates predicted Pep and Götze months before Bild, I would still not believe everything they say. I might repeat myself, but Bild is a parody of a paper and even more pathetic than the sun. Even the above mentioned boos as well as their owners pictured are low quality. Back to the Mandzukic rumours: Bild reporting means fuck all. How many of us have thought about Mandzukic being an option for us and BAyern's Interest in Luiz. As soon as Mandzukic was leaving, Bild, just like us, put 1 and 1 together. However, Juve might habe better chances of getting him, cos he will be more of a first choice there, playing next to Tevez. Mandzukic is 28, good age for a striker, but could be too late to get used to a league which is a level above and a team which is not exactly suited for a striker like him. Juve on the other side have marauding wing-backs who like to pump in crosses and the lower pace of that league also makes adjustment for players from Germany easier as recent instances have shown. I
  23. Bild is and has ever been about the opposite of reliable. It's like the Dailfail or the Sun. The bild only consists of fear, hatred, boobs and the weather forecast like a German band once put it. It is a paper for the dumb and poor. The bild is not good enough to wipe your ass with it. They publish so many rumours, they have to get one right every once in a while.
  24. AS we don't even have enough home grown players without him, he should better stay, cos without him we sacrifice a squad spot.
