  1. Arsenal tend to forget that last time Guus was around for this fixture we thumped them 4-1 at the Emirates
  2. well, even a blind blind hen finds a grain of corn at times... they often call Bayern news before everyone else does because they are something like Bayer's court drudge paper. But as for every other topic apart from FC Bayern München, Bild is held as synonym of low quality journalism whose target audience are the illiterate. They are exactly like the Sun just with uglier topless girls.
  3. Lolz don't ever use the word 'reliable' to describe the Bild. The rumour is plausible but that is probably why they made it up
  4. Would be a horrible signing for that kind of money even though a decent no.2
  5. After his meteoric rise in Nürnberg and Dortmund he has somewhat stagnated or even regressed a bit physicallly since 2012. Esp his pace and stamina have gone downhill with his injuries. Apart from that he is still a very good all rounder, good balance, agility, ball control, dribbling, decent strength, the epitome of the modern box-to-box midfielder, like a deluxe version of Axel Witsel. Surely better than above average more like good to very good. No one to decide games but to make your midfield click. Surely better than Mikel\ramires. BTW the reason he stayed at Dortmund was that no one, not even utd gave in to his exorbitant wage demands. And he will stay at Dortmund as long as someone does. I leave it to you if he is the player our midfield needs.
  6. me 2. I thought we had come off the better when we lost out on Douglas Costa but managed to snatch Pedro a proven winner but I couldn't have been more wrong. It is shocking how much time he needs to adapt. You can see he always has good ideas but either his touch lets him down, he lacks accuracy or simply the physical attributes like pace to be a winger. Seems to be a top guy though, very professinal, always smiling so I really hope he makes it.
  7. well we got not even enough players on loan but our loan system is not the cause of us not integrating youth players anyway rather partly consequence of us not trusting young players.
  8. would love to see RLC start now, really deserves to start over Oscar or Ramires Tibo Azpi JT Zoum Baba ofc we all know which fullbacks will play eventually but one can dream Mikel/Matic with Mikel's recent resurgence and Matic's declien I am actually indifferent between the two of them RLC Fabreagas RL Fucking C has to start after that performance no two minds about it Willian Kenedy Kenedy spread more danger in his cameo than Pedro and Oscar did combined the rest of the game Diego goes without saying should be a solid and at the same time creative enough lineup to take on almost any EPL side.
  9. great goal from him difficult finish. He jumped with his left foot intending to hit the ball with his right but when the defender unbalanced him, he readjusted his body shape in mid air to hit it with his left. This kind of impro finishes can't be rehearsed, they just show who is a natural finisher and Costa certainly is.
  10. true but tbf he was excellent today on both ends.
  11. unconvincing performance but deserved win. The headlines belong to Ruben who offered more than Oscar and Pedro combined.
  12. when that shot by RLC went in I really felt something that I have not felt since Lampard scored for us. Like something big is in the making of our midfield.
  13. whilst the gif made me chuckle a bit, you can not be serious. People get banned for bullying, insulting other members not for writing brilliant substantiated posts displaying an unpopular opinion. Even though I do not agree with him either(, esp. 65m are not even remotedly close to what we should get for Hazard), @BlueLion put in a lot of effort to expound his chain of reasoning which is why I greatly enjoyed his post. This is what a forum is there for, to exchange and discuss opinions. We get that a lot in recent times that someone expresses his opinion and others demand him to get punished just for doing so. IMO that is not only childish but the philosophy behind banning people for their opinions hence abolishing freedom of speech is called fascism. I am not accusing you of being fascist as you probably did not intend to do any harm but I take this as an inducement cos this is a frequent pattern: someone has an opinion, takes his time to think it through and elucidate it here and the reaction he gets are some childish, personal one liners. This is what poisons the atmosphere in a forum and I have been on numerous so forums who went downhill from there. So I just want to remind members to take a step back and use your brains when assessing an opinion that is not yours and to @BlueLion, thanks for your amazing post.
  14. Decent result, horrible negative performance. We should have dominated ManUtd and exploited their lack of confidence instead we allowed them to build momentum. Remy is probably not that good but he surely is better than Oscar.
  15. we all have dreams but we all know that is never gonna happen too. I am not a fan of RLC he is by no means as good as the hype around him suggests IMO but even tho there have been countless occasions were his capabilites would have been much more handy than everything FAbregas, Ramires or Mikel can offer. At this point I feel like a midfield consisting of mikel-rlc-matic genuinely lacks drive and creativity and to undo the similar midfield of Schweinsteiger-Carrick-Schneiderlin we should feature 3 attacking mids like usual. so I'd much rather give Kenedy a shot
  16. oh no. not again.was surely that reckless tackle for the penalty. also means Oscar will play vs United.
  17. Hiddink will pick youth they said. I don't get rid of the impression that Hiddink will go the short term route and play as many established players as possible. Why the heck will no manager finally resolve the Azpilicueta/Ivanovic makehsift defence? Also replacing Zouma with Cahill was a horrible decision. Sloppy, wayward and unlucky performance. We clearly lacked intelligence in attack. Esp Oscar's and Willian's decision making and off-the ball movement was horrific. The number of times they just passed the ball over the touchline was incredible. Also Courtois, whilst unlucky with the goals had some really nervous momenents dropping the ball or parrying it just a few yards away. miserable performance. At least Costa started scoring again even though he undid himself when getting that suspension. Remy however will be eager to impress the new manager so could be blessing in disguise he best news however is that Hazard is back and raring to go
  18. scapegoat again. By all means wasn't the worst today. Yes he shouldn't be starting at a club like this and out of position but today he put in a decent performance and was not at fault at all for any of the goals or our erratic offensive display. Criticizing him is ok, but pretending his selection would be our only problem completely misses the point. Our deficiencies go far deeper than him.
  19. oh shit Costa out for ManU once he started firing again.
  20. who put Oscar on penno duties? his mind is clearly not cut out for high pressure jobs. Often if the regular penalty taker just came in the game and the stand in taker still steps up he misses. had this situation with drogba-lampard often enough still did not learn from it. to conclude we went from predictable, lame, unispired and unlucky under Jose to wayward, sloppy, erratic and unlucky under Guus. but at least we have not lost the game yet. feared for a liverpool deja vu when that ighalo deflection went in
  21. He is most probably still more useful in the no. 10 role than Fabregas. And since Fabregas is shit in the no. 6 role, too. It would make him completely obsolete. But if he came back we would have to not have improved much. Mata due to his lack of defensive and athletic ability is a specialist just like Fabregas (despite a better one) and hence no long term solution for the no. 10 spot.
  22. what I find increasingly funny about Emenalo is that he had a spell at my hometown 4th tier club Eintracht Trier during the time I was born so it was probably destiny that we would end up attached to the same club later. Also he looks like Gus Fring from breaking bad. Other than that I would appreciate having a technical director with actual experience in transfer dealings and such not some puppet out of Roman's magic hat.
  23. I don't see this as a problem. IMO the manager should be much more like a coach, like the teams in Germany handle it. The board needs to consist of visionary football men who implement their vision and buy players, deploy talents accordingly whilst the manager/coach's job should be to get the best out of the squad he has. There is no sense in pursuing managers' vision since those only stay for a couple of years anyway.
  24. Heynckes did return to Bayern twice and won the quadruple. Coincidentally, he also was caretaker in 2009 just like Hiddink. How amazign it would be if Hiddink, who is by no means tactically inferior to Heynckes, could just take all his experience together and create the perfect blueprint our team has to play. That Bayern team of 2013 might not have played the prettiest football but it was tactically one of the best drilled sides that I have ever seen. Dynamic, aggressive, full of intelligent off-the ball runs. Every player at any given time knew exactly what to do, where to run in stark contrast to the often ponderous style of posession based football LvG or Pep play. If Hiddink could instill that kind of instinct into our players I'd be happy even if we win nothing this season. This is probably Hiddink's last job in football, let's hope he crowns it with his masterpiece.
