  1. About fucking time. Is he registered for spurs?
  2. Robertson is defo better than Alonso but TAA is not better than Azpi not even offensively IMO, Azpi gets way too much stick he is usually pretty tidy in offense and a decent crosser. VVD is better than our CBS but David and Rüdiger are better than whoever their 2nd CB is rn. I would say Pedro is better than Shaqiri and maybe slightly worse than Mane but not much. Willian is shit but also not too much worse than Shaqiri who is more of an impact sub used in midfield anyway. Firmino is their main striker and clearly better than what we have but i acknowledged that already. So i remain with my point that we are only slightly worse than them overall, if you take the star players out.
  3. and away goal rule? nothing written about that in the article
  4. lol. so what now? but i think it is a mix from both. There is extra time but there is no away goal rule, at least if it is if wikipedia is right. also i remember when we beat liverpool having drawn 1-1 at anfield and iva scored a 1-0 winner at the bridge in extra time, so that would vindicate that.
  5. I agree, I also think he would have rotated him in the more offensive 2 of the mid 3 where KDB/Gündogan/Silva usually play. Pep wants 2 absolute class players for every position and rightly so. You need that in a 60 games seasona nd even that might no be sufficient given how they miss agüero or kdb when ever they are injured. That being said what is most striking about Pep is that he is able to use 2 or 3 very different formatons and did so from the very beginning unless the same 4-3-3 over and over again like Sarri does. only switch to 4-2-3-1 when we have perfected 4-3-3 my ass. could have started the other way round at last
  6. If that were us the meltdown over KPB and Paulinho here would have been endless. Those are the signings no one wants here and rightly so. KPB is a decent player but absolutely no fit for Barca whilst Paulinho turned out good but was no way low risk, he was expensive, flopped at the only to pclub he played before, was well over his peak from the look of it and came froma non-competitive league. To splash out 100m for a world class player is waht we should learn from Barcelona's transfe rpolicy.
  7. Well I have to strongly disagree with him. I would take a player like Salah who is not remotedly as technically smooth as Hazard over him. Salah might have the occasional shit game and also has some gross technical errors in his game from time to time like a bad control or a lose first touch but scores almost every game and as a consequence Liveprool are title favourites whilst we are in for a struggle for 4th. That is more or less how the main differnece between a title winning squad and an ok CL place candidate - how prolific your top scorer or star player is. Add the 7 goals Salah has over Hazard and we have maybe 10 points more. Apart from those goals there is not much of a difference between our and Liverpools squad IMO. They have a better manager and slightly better players in defence and a better striker but that's it. But that is not really the problem I have with those comments. Often when a person commemorates the status quo it is to hide the fact that they are afraid to challenge themselves and push themselves to improve upon the current position because they are afraid to fail and have no excuse like "I never wanted it anyway" left.
  8. I like how Spurs fans are pissing their pants in fear of Higauin kicking them out and banging on about how new players should not be egligible for return legs😂
  9. Me 2. I think he was our best coach of the Abramovich era. We were really close 2nd that season and would have easiöy won if Lamps and Drogs had not been injured for half of it, which the club failed to make amends for in any transfer window instead replacing Deco and Ballack with Ramires and Zhirkov in midfield. Add to that the torres disaster when drogba was already fit again.
  10. Batceloma signing KP Boateng as striker back up - they also love their weird transfers
  11. I took a bit of time to watch a few vids of him. He seems technically polished and reasonably quick but have not really seen him defending and passing is not perfect either. Creates chances with his dribbling and runs, has a decent shot and good set pieces, where his assists come from. Would surprise me if we really were in for him but would be a good player for a lower-half EPL club.
  12. Perfect. Will fetch a decent price for him then.
  13. Sven Mislintat is leaving Arsenal. Should be all over them, a scout like him will be in demand everywhere and I reckon our chances will be good, he can stay in London and our scputibg facilities are excellent, lets hope the board does its job
  14. At this point i think we have to aknowledge the fact that CHO apart from one game vs shit opposition in EL and one vs shit opposition in the FA Cup has done fuck all this season, one goal in 500mins, that's worse than Willia. I hate Willian as much as everyone here, but if I were in Sarri's position and I got a toothless Willian vs a toothless CHO I would also decide for Willian, bc there you at least know what you are getting. Even if I disapprove of his managerial ability, it is the board's fault he is not tied down to a long-term contract and a manager should not be forced in his selection by how shit the board manages the contracts. Even at Bayern I doubt he will play much more in his first 2 years there and needs to impress with the sub cameos and he has never made an impact at all when coming on as a sub. Everyone, including himself is obviously believing his mega hype. I think we should hold out for one more offer and then sell. Give him another contract offer of like 90k just to maybe get bayern to offer him more and fuck up their wage structure but sell him for 40m+add ons. With how stupidly they already went out in public they can not back out of this deal now.
  15. this alone is shocking. Subs are one of the few ways a manage rcan influence a running game. Picking substitutes in a predictable way, gives the opposition manager to opportunity to prepare no only for the probable starting line-up but also of how the manager will influence the game later on. Add to that same tatics, same formation, same inability to cross or shoot and everyone knows how to stop us.
  16. Exactly, that is why I think the option to buy is pointless. But i guess we had tobgive it away to comvibce Atleti to take him at all. He actually would be a brilliant fit for the chinese league with their slow and not so physical football there and as bo one gives a fuck about their league his problem with oressure would also be allebiated. Unfortunately following that new regulation on foreign player they are not spending stupid money that much anymore.
  17. Not really convincing business. If he does really well, he could be worth more than 50m in the summer and if he fucks it up, which is likely, he will return here and sulk again, so the buy option is basically useless. But for the moment it is good to get rid of him.
  18. Yes, I prefer Conte and I think he is the better coach, better suited to the players we have and the identity of the club. The way he bitched around with lack of backing by the board and their failures in the transfer market was very unprfessional and also what he texted Costa, but it is not his fault they replaced Matic with Drinkwater. So overall, he was not perfect either but I think a pragmatic coach is what you need when you have a board that clueless in the transfer market and not one who needs too many players that are very limited in the way they play and only suited to one particular system. For Sarri's system to work we need, 5-8 new players and that's simply not worth it, as we do not have patience with managers anyway. Also I don't like posession-based football but that is just a personal preference. The problem is not Sarri himself but the lack of continuity in the board's recruitment policy wrt to players and managers. Unless that does not change only pragmatic managers will succeed here. If indeed it has now changed and the board are willing to give a manager 2-3 years and 300m to build a new squad, then sure, give it a go but I hope that manager is not someone who after 6 months comes out and says "I can not motivate the players anymore". Sarri, he simply is not good enough. He repeats Conte's mistakes, neither learns from his own, sets up his team to fail. All teams have to do is come at us with force for us to crumble adn concede and all they have to do to stop us from scoring is packing the box with players. This has been evident for weeks now, yet nothing has changed. If we really would go on and back a manager for years it should be someone like Klopp or Guardiola who at least get their teams motivated. Sure even those are not perfect. But they learn from their mistakes, always strive to improve, rotate enough to keep their players fresh and keep them enjoying their football. No player nor fan at Chelsea enjoys anything atm bc of Sarri's rigid medieval 4-3-3 and false 9 bullshit. Being an attacking manager does not equal having no plan B, persisting with the same bullshit over and over again.
  19. So it is Alli, Kane and Son out for Spurs, the only player we have to worry about is eriksen. No doubt they will park the bus from minute 1. Still i am absolutely 0 confident we will get anything from this. With a decent manager I would be sure we would savage them, even with the average squad we have right now.
  20. As i said in the matchchat, sack Sarri and his coaches, sell the club, sell the shit half of the players and start from scratch. This club is heading into mediocrity right now.
  21. A good manager knows when to change
  22. 11 players he runs i to the ground with his lack of rotation, 3 shit players he keeps on selecting and playing the others out of position
  23. Yeah and who put him in the wrong position. Sarri the clueless fucker
  24. Bullshit. i never changed my mind i always hated his football and was very clear that i never wanted him at the club. And many people here did not want him either. It is also not that we lost but the way we lost, just 1 shot on target and completely clueless in defense after 6 m of practice with Sarri. He is a shit coach and he will not get better.
