So the club needs to big up youth players like some second tier feeder club just for us not to be plastics? Weird logic. I want the club to be successful. And for the record i am not against Mount per se but playing him out of position when there are better players or solutions available is niether fair to him nor the team. Mount was one of our best players last season but we weren't brilliant idnividually last season bar Kovacic, Pulisic and giroud overall. I dont hate Mount i just dont think he is the type of player to bring us forward now or in the future. There is only so much you can become with the talent he has. Keep as squad player or sell. same as Tammy. Some youth players are good some not. It's a myth that bc our academy teams are successful, the youth players are pro material. 99% wont make it at the top. There is no vlaue in promoting all of them jsut for the hell of it. I dont think we can sustain success by promoting more than 2 or 3 per season while giving them sufficien minutes given they are actually talented enough. RJ on the other hand, I have gone on the record in saying he willl go to the very top if he stays injury free and I stand by that. I could even see Conor Gallagher maybe making the cut bc of his versatility and superior technical and physical characteristics compared to e.g. Mount. I think if we want to build the team around Havertz, Werner and Pulisic, we cant have Mount playing much of a role. He is terrible in the 3 behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 and I dont see 4-3-3 getting the best out of Werner or Havertz. If Mount is ok with staying a squad player for his enitre career he can gladly stay. Lampard will see that Mount's ceiling wont allow him to go to the very top sooner or later. Lampard may be a slow learner but he will learn eventually as he did with Barkley and Jorginho.

Play Rüdiger in midfield and he will still be better than Guendouzi who is an absolute fraud and just an excuse of a footballer. Terrible athlete, terrible on the ball. One of the worst players i have ever seen playing for Arsenal and that says something. He is basically alonso in midfield but with worse technique. lazy and slow. The only player in our squad who is even worse relative to his position is Kepa.

Lamptey is a great wingback but I would not want him over Reece or Azpi as right back tbh. Also people would bang on about how tiny he is when he inevitably got bullied by average-size wingers. RJ completely shut down Sane who is very strong for his size himself such that he moved into the middle for easier prey in Christensen. If we had a left-footed RJ in place of Alonso, we never concede the first. Also we have Lawrence and Sterling in the u23 who are very highly rated as well. Hence, I am not at all bitter about his departure.

tbf i love Conte's style. So quick, powerful and resilient. what i didnt like is how unprofessionally he conducted his business and how he always watned washed up players like Candreva and Llorente. If Lampard who is handling himself extremely professionally and has signed only good or great players so far, can emulate Conte's counter attacking style, I would be over the moon.

If we play 4-2-3-1 there is no no.8 tho. He should obviously not be starting at all. Dont mind him as a squad player but given we can get 50m+ for him we should really look to sell at some point. I think those 3 games (incl the preseason one) have shown that our best midfield is clearly without Mount, RLC and Jorginho.

Never would we have conceded with 11 men on the pitch. The one frustrating thing here is this inferiority complex we have, and AC and Kepa in particular, when it comes to playing Liverpool we always manage to lose in creative ways. Conceding stupid long rangers or set pieces. Now we looked defensively well organized and then shot our selves in the foot. Both ac and Kepa should have anticipated th trajectory of that ball way better. We other is the mount love in. He is useless. Maybe CHO is too.
