and he remains a shit coach. Chelse and Juve won titles for him. When Conte e.g. came here he won the title for us.

Nagelsmann is still a nearly-man all the same. I think we need a proven winner to bring us to the next level.

Passing the opponent to death is exactly what you have to do against a bus parked 10 m within their own half.

Simeone's ultra-destructive ugly suffer-ball? Simeone vs the big sides is 10x worse than what Lamps did vs Liverpool Allegri with his fondness forwashed up granpas? Poch alright maybe but also never has won a title.

I thought he got his first half tactics spot on once again but second half we looked like the less eager side. FL sadly already feels like a dead man walking in that jobwith the fans getting on his back here at least. I think he will be given a bit more time by Roman tho. It is not at all black and white. This might not be the best football in the world but we lost with bad luck vs a highly motivated Mourinho side. There is no shame in that and no sense in blaming shit coaching or tactics. This is still a team finding its feet even tho it should be further ahead there is no use in throwing your toys out of the pram. Mourinho in 2015 was 10x worse, the Sarri slump was worse, Conte missing out on 4th was worse. Lampard has been through rough patches here already and so far always bounced back. Lets at least give him end of the year before being too terminal in judgement.

Also whilst Chilwell was rusty AF, he was defensively solid. better than alonso for sure, albeit just as invisible in attack. Emerson more or less cost us the game (a case can be made for zouma ducking under the ball). This is why i demanded 2 new LBs not just one and people call me greedy.

This. Mou went full Lyon mode. Put a lot of very hard working athletic players and no true strikers on the pitch to overload the wings. they got a scrappy goal which is all they hoped for. I dont envy them for their schedule. We just should have taken our chances and this is an easy 3-0. deservedly got punished. you really must put those away. we failed at this last season and still dont look much better. really frustrating start to the season so far but i think our cohesion is slowly improving. The understanding of the front 3 was already pretty decent I thought.

i honestly think the first half was our best of the season so far bar barnsley ofc. we really pressed them into submission. Mendy looked alright but nothing special. should do but surely not one to build a dynasty with.
-
well shit happens. we should have put the game to bed with the 2 golden chances we had for 2-0. if you fail to take your chances you get punished. i hate this pattern of always losing finals or pen shootouts lately, usually with thelast kick. the abab way of taking pens is rigged. the performance was overall ok i think. we had 2 mistakes in defence and obviously missed 2 great chances. this can cost you the game at this level. tottenham were really disciplined and gave it their all. no shame in losing here.

I think hr is way better through the middle tho. He is not a winger

That js a red on lamela with Var

Welcome to the prem Big Ed

Lol every tottenham lmayer at least 10m inside his own half on average Omg what was that
-
Thats how you get your first goal Nice and clinical deepest Bus ever undone
-
Mou with a classic 5-5-0 lol they have some pace in the counter but so do we
-
At his age one should celebrate them as they come 😄
-
decent lederner lineup. No cb on the bench is weird tho
-
how is the ball gonna go to the nea post through allour players coming from that angle tho? if you watch closely there is not really an avenue for the near post ball across the box. far post was the only direction this could have causeddanger.

this indeed is a worry. i hope it is just a smokescreen like so many things he says bc it is obviously incorrct. Bayern had a ton of injuries but played most of last season with alaba and boateng as cb pairing. without that it would probably have been süle and alaba. Paris obviously had Silva and kimpembe mostly, Barcelona played Pique and Langlet, Madrid Ramos and Varane. Only 3men defences can afford some flexibility IMO. Also what does communication have to do with modern football? it is just basic logic. People are better and communicating with each other when they know each other better and players play better together when they are used to each other. Maybe there are other ways to make cb pairing work but surely having them play next to each other week in week out is the most obvious way.

Offside trap was not the planned option, everyone automatically just moved up bc of how the ball is played so it maybe also was a collective mistake which happen when everyone goes ball wathcing. but alonso actually should have stayed with his markee holding the line. bc he didn't Reece tried to cover them both i guess or simply lost concentration himself. A more sophisticated defender than RJ would probably have made the smart choice and played them all offisde, saving the day by doing so but he was brought in this position by Alonso being the only completely misjudging the direction of the ball. On a different note whilst our attacking play is boring AF and we are still not solid at the back, there is some improvement in the ladder in the sense that only the Silva mistake was a goal we conceded without Kepa or Alonso being at least partly at fault. This is a trend that we also saw in the last few matches of last season. If concede less from collective mistakes and more from individual mistakes. Mostly from Kepa and Alonso who i have called out for ages. Vs Liverpool and Brighton we looked defensively extremely solid for most of the match apart from Alonso/Kepa. AC has really stepped up apart from that red card obviously. Zouma has been faultless this season so far (so really sad not to see him last weekend). But yeah the chopping and changing needs to stop. By playing Kante as holder again, Lampard has minimally improved our defending but downgraded our attacking fluidity. IMO 4 things need to happen for us to finally improve in the long run -finding a consistent back 4 -replacing Kante with a ball playing but physical DM -Kepa and Alonso out of the squad, they are making the players around them look worse than they are -get ziyech, chilwell and pulisic fit and gelling in the team I am confident Lampard knows this but he might have a different schedule than we would like

Another runaway title for Liverpool will harm the attractiveness of the league. Wonder whether and when refs and fA turn on them
-
Even if it is Alonso a boss should never humiliate an employee in public even if they deserve it. That being said I really hope Alonso leaves. But if this story is true it must stay an exception otherwise FL will be a dead man walking lieb Mourinho if he creates a toxic atmosphere and he has been looking grumpy for quite some time now

Our game, bayern, bvb getting thrashed, leicester hammer shitty, w ham thrash wolves. corona footy is crazy.

i thought it was red when the pics were leaked but it not even pink it's like baloney.

Yeah and we lost just one out of 9 league games without Kanté last season. The season before we went on a run of losing one in 13 with Alonso and 6 our of 9 without him. Small samples make stupid opinions
