  1. Guus twice. and Benitez if you can count that. Usually no manager would want to leave this job even if their contract ran out. managers seeing out their contracts at top clubs is the exception anyway
  2. Lamptey looks flashy in highlight reel and odd game vs us but other than that he is average and looks comically tiny. Also cant compensate his fun-size with any kind of redeeming skill in defense. RJ > Lamptey all the way, any day. Is like the Frank Lampard vs Scott Canham question on the Redknapp presser lol.
  3. All those lineups are a joke apart from the Bundesliga and la liga ones which are okish. looks like someone only watches the highlights. But the PL one takes the mickey Mount and sterling over foden, son, salah and mahrez? Xhaka, lindelöf, robertson wtf
  4. They are way better funded and managed than we are as well. That's the difference to our rivalry to ManUtd. IMO we always had the better team 2004-2013 and should have dominated but our lack of stability and their fergie/ManUre bonus dragged them over lthe line half the time. Their football sucked the major balls and the glazers slowly but steadily ruined their club but they had legendary coach. ManCity dont have that much of a helping hand from refs and the general football establishment as ManUre and Liverpool and still made it.ManCity are basically the club we should have become with a more consistent strategic approach. Not that they have not botched some transfers themselves but they usually bought consistently and evolved thier profile more continuously same goes for their hiring of coaches. Not identical philosophies but Mancini, pelegrini, pep all stayed longer on average than the coaches we had in the meantime and their philosophies and recruitment policies were at least somewhat similar. If we had not wasted huge amounts of funds in the wrong players, maybe kept around some of our coaches a little longer instead of hiring quick fixed andhad used the moments of strength after our league titles accordingly we would be up there not them.
  5. what are they celebrating lol 8th place? not having to play conference league... congrats i guess^^
  6. Apart from Aubameyang, Mbappe, Icardi and Neymar there would be the more attainable options Anthony Ujah and Shawn Parker from his time at Mainz lol Leaning towards the same. A loan is really low risk. NOt sure how well n easy going guy like Eden and a perfectionist like TT would mix but TT is experienced enough to get the best out of him. If we dont find a proper striker, Eden as a false nine backup with the necessary freedom given this position might work if he gets back up to shape. He never had injury problems this bad so i guess reals physios just suck^^ I do belive we can get Sancho. They have a gentlemen's agreement with im at BVB. 90m € flat and he can leave. Would be a sizeable transfer but could see it paying off. Unless he flops like Kepa he could still have resale value anyway. Surely he would entertain the notion of coming back to London and play with his friends RJ, Mount and CHO here. If we can not get a proper striker a combination of an experienced back up and/or and up and coming one like Daka, Vlahovic or Silva and Eden or another experienced attacker with good output in this mould could be a decent fix. I dont want us to spend big on someone who can not be a very good fit. Rather use an inexpensive mid term solution like Eden on loan or Andre Silva for 34m pounds until a wc striker becomes available.
  7. I still think he would have been useful in a lot of games were we simply wasted too many chances. For all his faults Tammy is more clinical than Timo while being fast enough for the opposition not being able to press us high like when playing Giroud.
  8. Apparently completely failed at Porto and will come back here. Not a problem, so far he only made us money and will do so again if we find another loan for him. Or maybe he has changed his mind and is now ready to be backup at leftback.
  9. I think it was you who told my in the werner thread earlier this season that pens won do not count as assists. Would you please make your mind up? 😂
  10. For all his missed chances Timo had City on the ropes every time this season. The worrying thing is, his assists have dried up.
  11. six, but one more non-pen goal lol on the other hand we should have had like 5 more pens this season so jorginho should have had double figures in a non-corrupt league
  12. In fluid, chaotic games, TT teams have always looked out of their depth and lacked composure. situations like today which you can plan for but when they happend you need guys on the pitch to cool things down have never produced the best in TT teams. I dont really like how our performances have dropped after we beat City at the Etihad. Probalby fatigue and injury have played a part but boy have we looked terribly at times. Leicester home theonly decent game in that span. TT deserves another go but yeah, probably delay extension for a bit.
  13. How is Mount not an attacking midfielder. He is constantly played as one of the two no.10s in our system Anyway. ALL of our attackers have been shit this season. The only one who has been remotely up to his usual standard is Giroud but only if given a run of games.
  14. letting the game run past him then bundling over a player off the ball conceding a fk that breaks down his team's play.
  15. what a bottle job. puts leicester's to shame
  16. bakayoko with his signature move...
  17. wtf hysaj is a shocking defender
  18. bakayoko again bundling over another player. No apparent intent, he simply is this clumsy.
  19. verona have now swapped goalies wtf also a guy roughly named lasagne has come on
  20. i think they are gonna take it back
  21. lol Bakayoko just hit someone in the face for no apparent reason
  22. He would get slaughtered if he would produce the same drop off in performance in 2nd half of the season as he did for Leeds. All in i donot see what he offers that abraham doesnt. He has alsmost exactly the same attacking ouput as Tammy had last season. Scoring a good amount of goals in thefirst hal fof the season in low pressure situations scoring in cluters vs shit teams only to do mainly nothing for the rest of the years. If Tammy and Oli both leave we need a back up striker. In this capacity we can talk about Bamford, if he can be gotten cheap but you can't rely on guys who have shown they don't score consistently. This includes all our current strikers just as well as Bamford.
  23. He is a good solider but not a real leader and it shows. The red was unnecessary but his performance was not any better. Neither today nor in the final vs Leicester.
  24. 2-0 should be game and championship over
