  1. It's not Ramires fault Nobody helping, BUT he needs to stop turning over possession with crazy long balls to Goldibollox who instantly loses them! Fuck me ANY striker would be better than Torres... Can't we play a defender up front? At least good in the air and provide knock downs for Mata, Hazard, Marin and Frank????
  2. Wow how embarrassing!!! Out of form players today... Torres Ramires Hazard Mata Cech Our midfield is rubbish we REALLY MISS LUIZ Marin has done well, no options for him though and clearly lacks match sharpness WHERE IS OUR TEMPO? Any kind of pressing by the Opposition and we crumble... Ramires + Cech long ball = hopeless! Sparta deserve to be leading... We are poor, very poor Glad I'm missing 2nd half!
  3. Spot on Leif... Cole + Hazard on left and either Azip+Marin / Moses on right... building good solid partnerships and getting the ball into BA / Torres... Wish BA was eligible for Europe...
  4. Reports on SSN that he hasn't agreed anything: http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/8496098/Partizan-Belgrade-star-Lazar-Markovic-says-no-deal-is-done-with-Chelsea Looks a good player and 10 million (euros?) - would be a great bargain.... I'd expect him to be purchased and loaned back out for a season though... But that's cool, seems to be working with some of our players...
  5. Yup - but I'm not really taking it seriously - I thought it was 'jokes' - maybe not... But will stop
  6. Yeah Marcelo - that's the dude I was thinking of - he's always been good when I've seen him play - great shot too... Not sure on RM defence - it is a bit shaky... I think it's a different mentality there though - he has to play attacking, as thats what the fans expect...
  7. I found it really interesting during all of the SKY SPORTS build-up that Jose really does look 'downbeat' - he doesn't have that same 'twinkle / sparkle' anymore... Think this RM job has been really tough on him and he probably thinks dealing with RA is definitely better... Again, I would like to see him come back... Despite some of his comments, he is a great guy and other top managers like him - because he wants to win - and surely that's what they're all trying to do... I would love to see him back here and him getting the team motivated and building a 'fortress' at SB again... @Pizy, agreed - Benzema was hopeless... I actually think Torres in his last game was > Benzema... TBH never rated him that much anyway, thought DiMaria was great and where was the normal crazy RB with big hair? Think they missed him too... Ozil was also REALLY poor... I would definitely start Modric ahead of him...
  8. Olive branch offered, Olive branch refused...
  9. LOL - English people don't Yodel.... That's mostly Swiss by the way... Austrians are too busy drinking schnapps and shooting things - mostly Swiss Yodelers and I'm encouraging them to start looking out for Canadians with a gold tooth and a big hat :p At the end of the day - I love our insult swaps - always makes me smile @ work! So cheers!
  10. All mouth and no substance for you though I may live in Austria - but even for your poorly educated, primative little 'Beaver Brain' - I'm actually English - so schnitzels are not my thing...
  11. Hey Nish... I don't think it's so much the fans - I think OT is a VERY LUCKY PLACE for Man U - that's what I mean... Sure their fans are 'Prawn Sandwich Brigade' But, how many important games have Man U won by a fluke bounce or something just breaking for them... I guess that's why it's called 'Home Advantage'... Sure Technically RM have the better players - but as we've seen - grit and determination with a gulf in class can be hard to overcome! RM played well and it could have been 5-2 to them on the night... DeGea played well (about time) - but also RVP choked a bit - is he going to be another Thierry Henry So looking forward to the next leg... As an Englishman - gotta support English clubs, even though I'm obviously not a big fan of Manure....
  12. Haha you're such a fucking idiot Honeslty - go eat some geese and play with beavers - FACT: Worst Canadian ever I thought Man U played well in an away leg... I'm entitled to that opinion - so go fuck yourself
  13. Great post However my only addition would be that 'Yes' whilst our players are getting a good run-out and are improving - we had a really gruelling schedule this year and have the smallest first team squad ever! That was a risk We'll soon know if it paid off... I guess the mentality was 'bread today, jam tomorrow'....
  14. Marco Van Basten + Marc Overmats - amazing players Arsenal had a great team then! Also right now we need to find the next Vierra
  15. You can't win the game in the first match - two very good managers - I expected it to be tight and Man U to deliberately break up play and try to expose Reals poor defence... Looked exactly like that... Utd will feel better bringing them to OT with home fan support It's 50/50 and can see Utd sneaking this
  16. I know you live in the bush n'all...But are you absolutely sure you were watching the same game as the other 200million people? Or, more likely - were you in fact watching some Geese vs Beavers and the bus you saw was in fact a Maple Syrup Tour?
  17. 1 big word - this rumour is..... BULLSHIT! Not a chance of this being real
  18. Thought the ref was absolutely fucking useless! Bundesliga is poorer for this twat! Dirty fucking Madrid shirt pulling and lifters by the look of them! I fucking hate Utd but hate Spanish clubs more!
  19. Disagree - but it's natural for Belgian supporters, to support their players.... Whatever your opinion on Hazard, could you really see you changing other people's opinions? As they say, 'their perception is their reality'.... Personally, I thought the whole twitter thing was f**ked up and I must admit I did think - 'This c**t better be good!' - I'd say he's having a Good season... I'm not as impressed as I thought I would be, but his stats are good - he does lose the ball a little too often and gives it away cheaply. BUT, this is his first season and I'm sure he will improve. Also - the team around him haven't been great and the manager - well... So - I'd give him an A- or a B+ so far - I'm excited about next season... And hey - haven't you ever done anything you regretted? I think he was just messing around and didn't expect the English media to jump all over it... English media love building things up to drag them down later (when it suits them) - look at the U-Turns on Hazard - one minute banned for life, then as soon as the ex-Pro's and Pro's back Hazard - suddenly Hazard is the saviour of English football and these pesky Ball MEN are ruining it... My advice - never believe the 'press' - life is much easier
  20. Yup.. I get that... but what I'm trying to say is, pre-Benitez appointment - the Board were 'according to most' doing a great job? In terms of finances we're doing the best we ever have... You say we need a 'decision maker' - but the only person that can 'empower' somebody else is Roman... If he doesn't do that - then it doesn't matter who we appoint as CEO... nothing will change...?
  21. But what needs fixing at Board level? Revenues = Good Past Managerial Appointments = Good They made 1 mistake in appointing FSW - and now they need to go? I do think Emanelo could be a position that Ray Wilkins would be best served to fill... BUT - I only have hearsay and rumours... I've not yet seen a comprehensive plan on what exactly needs to change and why. I'm not disagreeing with you - just asking for some more 'details'
  22. Ok - so if he goes back to WBA next year and is again used as a 65 minute sub - why would that be different to us using him in EXACTLY the same way? There's no way that Steve Clarke is going to build a team around a 'Loan' striker... Or any other Premier team... because like Benitez they are 'interim' players... So, the best option is for him to come back, take it like a man, and get playing time with the club that is going to be his future
  23. Erm.. if he's playing for Belgium NT - and we love Hazard and Fellani - who are also playing in the same team - I would definitely say he is ready
  24. But you cannot fix a team without a Manager - that was the whole point of my post...? What exactly needs to change in the Board to make the team play better? Nothing - why? Because it has no 'direct causal' effect on the players. BUT the Board did appoint Benitez - so they do have an influence, but only in one area the Manager. The Managers responsibility is to use the resources at his/her disposal to produce the goods - if they are incapable of doing this, then they need to be replaced by someone competent. So it's a top down / bottom up problem IF THE WRONG MANAGER IS SELECTED - however, when a NEW manager comes in and the players are doing well - there is no need to change the Board as they have fulfilled their requirement... Makes sense to me - but quite a hard thing to describe
