  1. Too true! What is it with these Serbian defenders regularly finding the back of the net!? He looks so comfortable out there. I think an Ivanovic Jersey is next on the cue.....
  2. Really?? I think they are horrendous! I would go Predators any day....
  3. Yeah Del Bosque should get it because he didn't have many good players in his side...... :whistling: A fricken monkey could have coached spain to win the World cup this year. Oscar Tabarez deserves it more than this guy..
  4. Hopefully the week off will have helped us sort out a few niggling injuries and player fitness.. We where unlucky up there last year. I would be happy with 1-0....
  5. I can't wait to see how this effects the other players now. Will they still be breathing down our neck come next may? or will it be Man city who we have to watch out for? This is going to be a very interesting season.... Like Carlo said last year. "The title is ours to lose"
  6. Im not saying Cole is not to blame. Im saying that with a person as dumb as Cole, a manager could easily get in his ear and convince him he is better than he actually his. I think Cole always wanted to stay but he tried to play Romans bluff and got caught out...
  7. In the world of Professional sport, players have little to do with the negotiation of contracts. If you are at a small club and a big club comes in with a substantial offer, a manager and the club boss will do a deal sometimes without consulting the player. When Drogba was at Marseille he was called into his bosses office and pretty much told "Pack your bags champ, your going to Chelsea" Even though he didn't want to.. Most player managers are very greedy and only care about themselves. I'm not defending Cole but i feel like he was made an example of. I think Roman was sick of players holding him for ransom with there massive wage demands so Cole and Ballack where shown the door after previously disagreeing to lower wage's..
  8. I reckon he would be think more along the lines of " i need a new manager". I think Joe always wanted to stay but his manager got greedy and told him to go for more money.. Joe is way too dumb to negotiate a deal...
  9. I think Terry will play. I think we should get the win because last year it was set pieces that killed us.. This year i beileve we have been pretty strong in the air. Although Alex is out, I still think we can win this one. It will be tough though. 2-1 for me..
  10. Fucking GREAT!!! Now instead of watching the games on Sunday morning, i have to watch them on Monday morning and go to work after 2 hours sleep... Fucking spewing!!!! The highlight of my weekend is getting home after a Saturday night out, jumping into bed and watching my beloved blues.. Thanks alot SKY.. fucking assholes...
  11. That is hilarious! LOL. Copy and send to all my Arsenal friends.....
  12. To be honest i think that Carling Cup failure had an effect on the Lads.. I noticed it in the first 10 minutes against City. We looked tired, unenthusiastic and not willing to fight for it. If you compare the energy and passing in the first half vs Man United last season to the Tempo of play at Citeh on the weekend its like a differant side. How can they be so confident vs United and so flat vs city??. The way we have been playing lately i thought it would be a rout..
  13. I have to admit that I'm not very happy with the result. 1 very lucky set-piece goal and a penalty. I think we are lacking creativity and look very boring and repetitive. I don't want to be to harsh but i think our boys look very tired and are beginning to look uninterested. Its funny that the same thing happened last year after we got knocked out of the Carling cup too. Our results after being knocked out of the Carling Cup last season: Man City 2-1 Chelsea Chelsea 2-2 Apoel Chelsea 3-3 Everton Chelsea 2-1 Porstmouth West Ham 1-1 Chelsea Birmingham 0-0 Chelsea Lets just hope that the loss didn't cause friction within the dressing room because if it did we have a long month ahead of us..
  14. Well I must say I'm not too disappointed with the result. They committed a lot of there game to defense and simply took us out if the game. They can't do it every week and definetly don't look like a real title threat.. Just wasn't our week. Look forward to taking our frustration out on arsenal.
  15. Diabolical play. Compare this to last week. It's like comparing apples and oranges
  16. Absolute lethargic performance.. Look like we are not bothered at all..
  17. Ffs another wasted ball from essien.. I can see city scoring another 2
  18. We need this loss to bring us down the earth. Can't see many of the top 4 coming away from here with points..
  19. Quote a pessimistic view there.. I would be a lot more confident if i was him...
  20. I think the boys will be ready for this one. Lets not forget the only reason we lost to them up there last year was from a set piece and Lampard penalty miss... If Ivanovic can shut down Silva and Essien and Terry can put Tevez in there pocket then i think we will win this..
  21. Im pretty bummed because we won't get to watch more of the young lads running around amongst some of the big name players.. I find the Carling Cup to be a decent competition to showcase your youngsters and to bow out early at home against a newly promoted side is quite worrying.. I think a few more rounds would have suited me better..
  22. Definitely not! I'm drooling at the thought of having two super fast attacking backs... :eyebrows:
  23. I'm sure this will be a huge talking point with the Chelsea executives in the next few days...
