I think cole could be given a 2 year deal as he is still a starter and highly important player. Bertrand doesn't seem to be that ready yet, so i think cole will probably have a couple more seasons with us.
-
HE has given his all for this club and he is a legend if he chooses to stay or go. He still has something to offer, and i love to see him play when he does. It is obvious the current system we play doesnt suit him as he can't really play behind the striker right now and isn't a holding midfielder/ramires... I will be extremely sad if he does choose to leave but it would be an end to a sparkling chelsea career that it has been a privilege to watch...

We should overpower them in the midfield and that could be crucial. Though Suarez will probably tear it up which is why we need a solid back line that does the simple things well. Moses really deserves a start though Rdm won't play him over torres and shouldn't play him over mata hazard or oscar meaning he will have to be a super sub.

I am gonna wait til everything in full is released and confirmed but if so that is jokes, and theres gonna be some long old journeys for my arsenal mate, who keeps telling me that we will be bankrupt in a few years lol.

JT HAS TO START IF FIT! please no one tell me he is not quick enough or whatever else. He defends like a beast and has the best organisational and captaincy skills on our team. I will take a good, solid well organised defence, over an all over the place quick one every day of the week. Cech Ivan Cahill TERRY Bertrand.... Mikel Rambo Mata Oscar Hazard Moses Is what i would play but it will most likely be that with torres up front and david luiz alongside JT if he is fit. A bit worried about Bertrand at Left back but liverpool shouldn't give too much of a problem in wide areas, especially compared to shakhtar.

yeah but we get payments for rights, as well as sponsership deals... I.e. Formula 1 sauber and gazprom etc, also merchandise sales etc.
-
YEAH!!! GET IN THERE!
-
Wow, cavani scored 4 goals, the last 3 being in the last 15 minutes.
-
No way should we be benching cahill. For me it has to be JT and cahill. Ivan, Cahill, JT, cole is the best pure defensive back line we have as of right now. Agree on the rest of the lineup though obviously. Also i do realise that cahill has made some mistakes in recent games, but which one of ivan, luiz and cole haven't, also with JT in there i expect a much more tightly run ship.
-
Yep i agree with most on here, and he will be sorely missed when he retires but that is the situation we find ourselves in. Captaincy/organisational skills are very often underated and he has that in bucketloads. Also i am not a fan of the keeper being the captain as they can't really get in the game to sort things out etc. Just read back a page and people saying he is leaving etc... Hell no, i'll back him all the way. He has given everything for this club, and is probably one of the most hated footballers, he was gettting booed before the whole cunton ferdinand thing. CAPTAIN LEADER LEGEND FOREVER!
-
He is just amazing and with his age as well, its just fantastic, i just hope we can hold onto him for a long long time.

IF they just had standing areas behind the goals then that would create a much better atmosphere, as you would be able to get many more people in there.

Yeah matthew harding lower is always the most noisy stand and where most of the singing comes from. i was in East upper, and there was a group of us singing but most behind us were just sort of commentating on what was happenning, which doesn't help the noise levels. It does get pretty noisy though at times. Also lol, at the bloke singing blue is the colour at the start... :blue scalf:

I think the main point here mate, is that we have all seen some of the problems we have been having. But can you really blame a misfiring torres on rdm, who has shown him complete faith? Can you blame RDM for some bad individual performances? Maybe on some level in terms of tactics, but you can't just chuck everything on the manager, when some things are going wrong. Also, why does it say "rdm needs 2 full seasons, he will come good", we have already won the double last season and in all the big competitions this year. He has done a lot, and yes some can argue his role in it, but however you want to look at it, he has been good, even if there are some things that not everyone (me included) agrees with.
-
How? But in all seriousness, i think every defender is wrongly being over judged by their attacking ability. TBH, i am not too bothered about his crossing, if he can defend then thats the main thing. We have an attacking 5 whose main aim is to create things. Yes it is helpful if our right and left back can cross to provide width and cross the ball in but their number one priority has got to be their defensive skills, and in that he had a bad game. One bad game though, doesn't mean he is "complete shit" or other stuff i have heard. He had a bad game, he has to go away and work on it and go from there.
-
Seriously? Had we drawn yesterday we would be a point of the lead in the prem, in the last 8 of the league cup, and still in the champions league, just having to get a result at Juve. Also every manager is under serious pressure when they are manager of chelsea. Avram grant was a width of the post away from leading us to champions league glory yet he still got the sack. It is the nature of the beast. My one critisicm of RDM this season is that he hasnt been proactive enough in making the strategic changes that are perhaps needed and instead has been reactive. But we still can't complain in what is a rebuilding year.
-
I honestly think we should try cahill terry and give it a chance not one match, then change. David luiz can then be very uesful as a sub, when needed. For now our defence should concentrate on being solid and then we can think more attacking from the back. Cahill and terry i think is our best CB partnership we have, in terms of pure defensive abilities. Not to mention the arial power of cahill, terry and ivan from corners and set pieces.
-
And the riddle of the day goes toooooooo: SPIKE!
-
We were all thinking just hold on because there is no added time clock, so we are all guessing what 3 mins is lol. And then we couldn't get the ball back and they kept winning free kicks. I was like, don't you dare blow the whistle ref.
-
That is the only thing that really started to annoy me... Especially as they came out firing in the second half and we were struggling to get a touch and we have the likes of Marin, moses and sturridge if we want to change things in the attack and cesar and JT in the defence, now the main move would obvioulsly be to replace torres but leaving it to the 80th min and putting danny on with 4 mins left is a bit weird. You would think around the 55th min/60th min would be about right, but still we got the win...
-
Yeah i am normally in the matthew harding lower but my mate got the tickets ans we were in east upper, but only 14 rows back and it maked a change. I preferred the view as you could see everything at all times and it wasn't like the action had to be down a particular end, but the only downside is you cant beat the atmosphere in the matthew harding end, as we were singing up there but most other people wern't around us. Everyone still went mental when moses scored though.. I think i am gonna be in the east stand again for nordjaelland.
-
Yeah i agree, i think we may as well try him up there, he clearly has the speed and the arial ability. He is much better than torres and although its not his best position its got to be worth a go.
