  1. Pretty sure Kova is suspended for prem games as it's just domestic not specific to the fa cup
  2. I'd like it to be Willy James tomori zouma alonso Kante jorgi Ziyech havertz mount Werner But I think it'll be Kepa Dave rudi zoum alonso Kante jorgi CHO mount Werner Giroud
  3. Yeah everyone knows he's by far the 3rd best option of the 3... Apart from Southgate it seems. Pope or Henderson are easily the best 2 and there's a big gap to Pickford. If pope played for us he'd be England no. 1 as he's better than Pickford and henderson is gonna be stuck behind de gea for a season. So he may want to come but Burnley have no reason to sell him.
  4. Nick pope would be a great keeper to get. But he's gonna be mega expensive. Close to the season starting English We want him Gonna be a large fee with less sell on value if we sold him in 5 years when he's 33 but the fee could be worth it having that position locked in for years to come
  5. I genuinely think Frank has 0 faith in kepa that he will start willy if he has to game week 1 and we don't have a new keeper. If we buy a keeper I can see kepa starting vs Brighton not to rock the boat as its just 1 game though
  6. Same can be said about pretty much every player who's not in the starting 11 for a national team Plus he probably only gets an appearance off the bench game 1 (depending on the situation) due to timing
  7. It is very different positions. Chillwell could be a shite left back and we'd be able to sell him for 20-30 mil quite easily based on what could be and what he was for leciester. Look at morata. People look at him as being a bust but we recouped the investment same as many others. World record fee for a kid on a hype train who didn't have the attributes of a top gk was always incredibly risky. But it's done now and it's the situation we're in. He's somehow still getting picked for Spain so someone rates him so maybe someone will buy him down the road
  8. Unlikely on Bayer if they are trying to get sarr on loan from us and I'm sure they wanted their money ASAP when the figure they wanted was agreed
  9. Yeah I know he doesn't start much but he may get a sub appearance. Obviously barring the reports in Germany which I obviously have no idea about. Although not sure why the German national team would care about his club medical. But if they wanna rest him and not risk injury then that's great for us.
  10. I am somewhat looking forward to seeing timo and havertz play together this evening (if they both start) but please no injury lol. As for the announcement it'll come at some point. Who really cares when it is provided it doesn't mean he has to miss 2 weeks of fixtures
  11. Harry kane sounds like a retard but he still scores shit tons of goals every season. And chillwell sounds like pretty much all English 22 year old footballers
  12. I wasn't praising kepa in the past and I haven't said anything negative about RLC. I'm generally always one of the most optimistic people on here about most things... But when it comes to kepa it is different. No issues if he stays here to fight for his place as I said previously the club probably need some better performances from him or maybe just some time to distance himself from the performances last year to be able to sell him. There is a chance he turns good but in my opinion its small especially with a goalkeeper. He isn't gonna get any taller and that's been an issue of mine with him since he joined. He looks small in the goal. And we aren't talking about a bad season we are talking about the worst save percentage in the history of the Premier league. Now sample size and all that can change things but even if you allow for some abnormalities that is woeful and I struggle to see how he is gonna turn good. He won't be any worse than last season thats for sure. But we conceded very few shots but conceded shit tons of goals and a lot of that has to go down to kepa
  13. What a man. Appreciate it. All the best to leverkusen this year too
  14. Plus from a finance point of view I think the club is gonna need more appearances (hopefully better or some improvement) before they'll be able to at least get half of what we paid back. Who wants to spend 40 mil or whatever on the keeper with the worse save percentage in the history of the prem
  15. If we can't find a landing spot he will have to stay and fight for his place and I hope he does do that (if he stays) as at least then he may work harder to be better. But Frank clearly doesn't have faith in him so it will be a hard task. But if he can fight and wins the job back then cool. He can't be worse than last year
  16. Well headed clearances is somewhat skewed by position on defending corners. Tammy for the majority of the season was the man at the front so all crap corners would hit him to be cleared. Check the stats for any short player teams play as the first man and they have fairly similar headed clearance stats from corners. There's a big discprency in the air between giroud and tammy attacking or defending. You only need to see one game of each to know that. Positional awareness is probably more important is the point I was making. Just because the team gets shorter doesn't mean we concede more goals. We had a tall team and conceded loads of ariel goals last season which says it's probably more the defending rather than the height. Better defenders are what's needed not taller defenders. If we can get better and taller defenders then great. But I think it's a leap to say we'll get worse in the air because we got shorter as a team. Chillwell is probably better in the air than alonso. Thiago silva scores a lot of headed goals and is good in the air for someone who isn't a giant. Kai is tall as is zouma. We'll have the height on the bench etc if we needed it in the last 10 mins if it's just getting lumped up the pitch and we are holding on. I'd take getting smaller as a team if it means a better defence which is slightly less physical. If we can get 2 JTs at cb then great but there are practically none of those out there.
  17. If kante is fit rice never gets in ahead of him in any formation. I'd rather he played as a cb to be used as a DM when needed if we got him. That being said I don't rate him as high as most on here seem to do.
  18. Gonna be some beautiful moments with the link up our front 4 "could achieve". If he is the "generational talent" we think/hope he is then he'll be worth every penny long term and he can definitely still get better. Some of the things he has achieved for his age in the Bundesliga is mental and was also made a captain at a young age which could be good for us given azpi probably not being in the first team for too many more years. I do think that Werner and ziyech are the more key short term signings out of the 3 attacking ones made. I think even though he may be the better player long term they address some of the bigger needs which makes this more of a luxury signing. I think we'll finish 3rd with him but without him I still think that's about where we would finish but who knows. That is also very short term thinking. But very to glad to have him and I can't wait at seeing the 4 up top in attack and seeing some of the potential which we could have for the next few seasons.
  19. Mount and CHO will get plenty of minutes still so it's not like they've been cast aside. The 'big 4" we have brought in (including puli) aren't gonna play every game and sometimes mount will play with them vs weaker opposition or instead of them in a rotation capacity. Plus you get the injuries etc. We played 1 pre season game and giroud and ziyech got an injury. If we had a game Wednesday that automatically would create minutes for others. Quality players break through and as much as I loved the year of youth and academy players most of these signings were needed to get where we are aiming towards and in regards to ziyech Werner and puli all at a great price. You can't tell me Werner would have cost only 54 mil if he didn't have a release clause. Youth (English) will still be there but they will get to play with better players which can only be a good thing. Plus the players we bought are all young too so it's still youth just through acquisition rather than organic growth. Same way as most big businesses get to the top.
  20. Yeah. I'd be happy getting some lower league dirt cheap keeper just for a season if need be. If he can at least look intimidating in goal I'll take it. Lol Fuck it just put RLC in goal. Big takes up a lot of the goal. Better dustribution etc
  21. I agree. But who was playing the second half. Half of them are getting loaned out. The other half are generally bit part players and the ones that aren't can't be blamed solely for a poor preseason performance. Positives are our 2 new signings look the business as we expected/hoped
