  1. This kid is amazing! Watch him here as Chelsea's NextGen U19 team beats Barcalona (A) NextGen U19 team: Indeed, as someone here mentioned, very Hazard-esque at times. Plus, you just gotta love it when we beat barca
  2. Seriously, this troll again? Why is he not banned?
  3. And he is most definitely not overrated. Quite the opposite.
  4. Mata has probably been (although debatable) Chelsea's best player for the last two seasons now. He has his downsides: he's not the fastest and he doesn't fulfill a lot of defensive duties, but he is a great player. I'd say Chelsea's best, and as a Belgian I love Hazard yet even through my Belgian glasses I see Mata clearly as the better player (not talking about potential, although even then...). Mata can read the game excellently, and deliver good passes, hence his high assist count. He is our best cornertaker, our corners from the right side are dangerous, compared to the Hazard crosses from the left (I believe Oscar is a better corner taker from the left). His best asset is his intelligence. He's not the best finisher, but because of his intelligence and good reading of the game he always finds himself alone in the box or far enough from a defender to have the space to do a decent finish or he's placed well for the rebound. And he's not bad at finishing either, rather above average. Just not one of the best. No doubt, Mata's Chelsea's best player because of his great reading, intelligence, positioning, passing and finishing, in that order IMO. He's a clever little man
  5. I think it has more to do with Belgium winning in combination with Croatia losing. Belgium now has a 3 point lead over Croatia, so even should we lose to croatia at home, we still have a better goal deficit. Belgium now has 19 out of 21 point W6 D1 L0 and Croatia has 16 out of 21 W5 D1 L1. The draws come from the game Belgium Croatia 1 - 1. Servia is third place with 7 points, meaning that Croatia are our main and only opponents to the first place guaranteeing direct WC qualifying, but yesterday we won (as expected) but they missed out on 3 points, giving us good odds to finish first, even if we lose in Croatia. I think that's what all the celebrating was about!
  6. With that line-up, you're not playing Fellaini, Mirallas or Defour. Personally, I don't believe Wilmots will ever play two strikers unless we're a goal down and time is running out. We'll probably play like this (4-3-3) most of the time: ------------------------------Courtois------------------------------ -Alderweireld---Kompany---Vermaelen---Verthongen- ---------------------Witsel----------Dembele-------------------- ---------------------------Fellaini/Defour-------------------------- ----De Bruyne/Mirallas---------------------Hazard------------ -------------------------------Benteke------------------------------ And then use Lukaku and Mertens as supersub or replacements for Benteke and a winger. And yes, we're definitely not favorited, but we do show potential. And that hasn't been the case for quite some time here in Belgian thus the fans are losing their minds. But we're definitely not favorited. Many here in Belgium see us as outsiders to win it but I don't really think so, although I do dream
  7. In Belgian press: http://www.sporza.be/cm/sporza/voetbal/buitenland/Duitsland/130530_decoster_lehnhoff_de_bruyne Agent of De Bruyne (De Koster): "I want to end all of the speculations and rumours." "Kevin himself doesn't know where he will play next season, and won't know before next weekend or whenever the new manager has been officially announced and has decided over Kevin's fate." "Ultimately, Chelsea decide." "Chelsea have three options: loan De Bruyne, sell him or keep him in England. The new coach will have to decide." "Only once Chelsea has made a decision, then can we (De Koster & de Bruyne) look at our options" "I read all the stuff in the German media as well, about Dortmund ann Leverkusen. But the truth is that we have a great relationship with Chelsea. The club would have already called me, if they would've already decided what to do."
  8. Isn't that what the club did with KDB or Courtois? Got them (relatively) cheap and now (especially Courtois although I believe Kevin will as well) they've proven themselves (albeit on loan) to be the beasts Chelsea hoped they'd become one day.

  10. That is inexcusable behaviour. I did not expect that from Hazard. Very very poor of him. Although the ballboy was an asshole covering the ball like that and lying on top of it.
  11. I loved a little run of his, in the 10th minute, where he, contrary to some people who say that he only takes on players of lesser teams, takes on the Arsenal defence, two one-on-ones. You can see it in this clip at 1:19. I know, it's not that spectacular, but I like it. Bring me another *smashes glass* http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwwixf_chelsea-2-1-arsenal-hoofoot-com-hd-super-highights-goals_sport?start=75
  12. Highlights of the game (only the goals). You can't really see his workrate or his screamer at the end of the game but you can see his assist. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xww1ax_west-brom-vs-aston-villa-2-2-goals-highlights_sport#.UPssfCeZR2B And oh my what a goal by Benteke!
  13. Yes that twitter post is real (went to see it for myself) but it isn't his official account I believe (I'm quite sure) so it's a fanboy of him who tweeted that
  14. I can't even remember the last time I read a post actually about Hazard in this thread...
  15. sure mate! I placed a link in this topic, just the previous page
  16. If anyone wants to see his goals: http://rutube.ru/video/189cfb35d6d8c2527f552273e9b249e6/#.UPHHDSeZR2A He played a good game today
  17. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xwpkld_hazard-spherachannel_sport?start=3#.UPGVwyeZR2A Watch his goal
  18. So far only rumours, no facts yet. I do hope they don't do it, but you never know. Of course they've talked about it, see how much they could lower Falcao's price, the fact that they asked about it doesn't mean they'll do it. They're just looking at all their options. I do hope they don't do it. On a (funny) sidenote: Falcao is called 'el Tigre', the Tiger, at Atletico Madrid. Courtois? The Turtle. "His neck is just so long!", Falcao says.
  19. Thorgan Hazard playing for the Chelsea u21 squad. Old video (from this summer) but still nice to look at. He's doing well at Zulte Waregem, for those of you interested!
  20. The press is reporting that Falcao said he won't leave Athletico in the January window. Apparently he himself said so on the Dubai sportconference. Edit: I've seen the footage of him saying it in Dubai. So there's no rumours, he actually said it. So, we can be sure Falcao said he won't leave (if he eventually will or not, that's another question, he might be lying). I'm actually kinda bummed about this. Not that I really really wanted Falcao over everything (because he's very expensive and I don't like putting all my eggs in one basket), but then again you wouldn't have heard me complain, the guy's great to watch! An article about this (in Dutch): http://sporza.be/cm/sporza/voetbal/buitenland/Spanje/121229_Falcao_blijft
  21. Those stats don't say much. I've seen them as well. Yes he's scored more than Falcao. But in more matches as well. No comparison... Take the number of goals both players scored and divide by the number of games they've played. Better even, divide by the number of minutes played. And I don't believe Mbokani is Chelsea material, he's not good enough. I don't believe this either. Benteke is already proving himself in a harder league, Mbokani failed when he moved to a harder league. Plus, Benteke is 5 (I repeat, 5!!!) years younger than Mbokani, if he keeps up playing the way he is he will only get better and be a greater player once he reaches 25.
