Christensen was so naïve for that second goal. Why he dived on the floor, I don't know. If he stayed on his feet, he most likely would of got to that ball or at least prevented Messi from going through.

You only have to go back a few pages to see the amount of abuse and write off he get by our own fans! It is ridiculous the lack of loyalty our fans show our players but are quick to ride the wave when a player does well. I have always rated Willian highly and I accept he can be inconsistent but I have always thought he is a vital squad member and a game-changer. But really glad to see him shutting people off who wrote him off. Not only is he scoring, he has been almost unplayable recently. But the lack of loyalty does not surprise me. Luiz was arguably our best defender and the PL best defender last season however because he has not shown the same this season, people have wrote him off too. Everyone pleading for Christensen to stay in the team. Christensen has not been his best in recent matches now your probably going to get some who question his place in the team too. But the comments I have seen on here about Willian were just OTT. Just wish some who have slated him can come and give him credit when it is due. He has pace, acceleration, dribbling ability, excellent balance and brilliant technique. I don't see what there is not to like about him. He will have his off days and there will be more game(s) where he does fall off like any player does, but he certainly has proved that he is a valuable member of a squad and we would be stupid to contemplate selling as some people called for earlier in the thread.

Morata is struggling however he has not had a start for a while against a team we should be beating comfortably. He is our main man and we need to back him and hope he returns to form. Ideally, this is a game where he will have a lot more chances to score as we are the much better team.

Absolutely pathetic, spineless performance. I expected to lose but lose with fucking dignity and the scoreline does not reflect the dominance. Embarrassing! Just imagine what is going through Hazard's mind, having to play in this set up. Pathetic! Not even a single shot on target. Listening to Redknapp's words about this performance and he described it as anti-football. It literally was. No effort put in and our travelling fans should be given a full refund for watching that pile of shit. Words can't describe how embarrassed I am by this team's performance. Shocking. How can you have Hazard as the CF when there was no clear counter attacking plan. Giroud should have started since all we did was hoof it up and he is the only one capable of holding the ball up. We need a huge reaction against Palace next week after this shambles. Words can't describe how I feel after watching that shit.

No Kante? FFS....

And Real have been doing really well haven't they by sticking with Benzema....... Morata outscored Benzema IIRC last season despite starting less games. Morata scored 15 league goals despite starting only 14 times. That is impressive. And they won the league last season. They made a poor decision selling Morata and relying on Benzema whose struggling much more than Morata.

I still think he is going to be a success here and shut people up. I get he is not playing well, however he has had to cope with injuries and so on and has showed glimpses of how good he can be. Lukaku has played a lot more football than Morata for when people want to compare stats. Morata has played a lot of games and gone off injured and also has had issues with his back and hamstring. But seems people have completely wrote him off. He has missed easy chances but what I like is that he is getting himself in positions to score. He always offers a goalscoring threat. But I can understand but also not surprised that fans rave over a player when he does well, but completely write them off, when he is not performing. The contrasting comments on players throughout seasons is crazy.

You just saw it coming. So disappointing after such a bright start. Drinkwater, surprisingly imo was our best player today. I am fuming at Conte for doing this again. Hazard was not great but you just don't take off your best player at that minute. Ridiculous. They scored shortly after he came off and who is their to inspire magic? No one! Such a poor decision. He still was dangerous and a player Mourinho must of been smiling secretly in delight when he saw him come off. As good as the defence are, my worry sometimes is that none of them are physical powerhouses and very commanding. Rudiger to some extent. Not a major problem but just concerned how easily Lukaku was able to easily shrug off our defenders throughout the match. That loss is really a blow. I don't see us getting anything at City. Best a draw and considering Liverpool have Newcastle at home and Spurs have Huddersfield at Wembley, you imagine them pulling even further away. Not impossible to get top 4 but a huge ask. Those losses against relegation fighting teams looks like it will prove pivotal right now. Games like Bournemouth, Burnley, West Ham, Watford, we just can't afford to be losing all those games. Just ridiculous when you think about it. They are hugely costing us. The only hope that makes me think we may get something out of City is that they go to Emirates on Thursday and then have a game three days after against us. Hopefully fatigue kicks in but even then still don't have much hopes of getting anything there.

I would defo agree. Think Bailey will be very prolific too.

Such a fantastic talent. Obviously keep a huge eye on him because I am Jamaican myself. If he keeps level headed can see him surpassing Sterling and being a really top, top player. He is bloody electric and has everything. Pace, power/strength, dribbling and his technique is brilliant as evident by video above. He is capable of scoring long range screamers.
-
Put some respect on his bloody name! He was brilliant tonight and defo the best player on the pitch
-
Need to get Morata on for Pedro ASAP.

That 1st goal was reminiscent of a goal he scored 4 years ago in the same month against Newcastle. He scored a hattrick that day, but his second goal was that excellent one-two with Eto'o and the quality finish which he placed in the corner of the net. Would love someone to post a clip of that. Was a brilliant goal and similar to the one he scored today. I think that game against Newcastle was when people really started to take notice of how special a player we had.
-
The players have not been that good around him but also Kante has not been that imposing as he used to be as well. I mean I was watching Dembele against Arsenal and United. The way he controls the game because of his technical skills, strength is just amazing. We have no players like that. Gone are the days where we had that physically imposing team that opposition are scared to come across and no on in our team has that ability to shield the ball and dictate play. Man, I have always rated Dembele so highly but how we would improve if we had someone like him next to Kante.
-
He can also play as a SS or CF which is where I am sure Swansea have bought him to play. Bony is out for season so can see him joining his brother in attack.
-
Good to see him back on the scoresheet tonight with a couple of goals. Hopefully he can get his hattrick. He needed those goals for confidence and generally with Swansea's buying the other Ayew, he was getting behind the pecking order so well done to him. He has struggled with injuries and playing time for last couple months or so, so hopefully this kickstarts his season and he can play a big part in Swansea's relegation battle.

To save our season. I will miss Conte as he is a top manager but literally to save our season we need new ideas. We have proven time and time again that we can still be successful by appointing interims and changing managers. Losing by 3 goals difference to teams people expect to compete for relegation is completely embarrassing. Bakayoko did not help but in the end of the day, the manager usually takes the fall and literally to keep our hopes of staying in top 4, something drastic needs to be done.

No one seems to have commented about Alonso. He is not even the squad, which hints another injury
-
We like to play cat and mouse with Spurs. We go like 5 points ahead of Spurs then lose and then Spurs win then it is back to 2 points. We just need to win tomorrow, create a gap over them and hope Arsenal get something next week. However knowing our record against teams with recently new appointed managers (West Ham, Palace and Everton), wouldn't be surprised if we drop points tomorrow.
-
Arsenal cave in too easily. You got the likes of Championship clubs like Fulham rejecting around £20m for Cairney from PL clubs whilse Arsenal are selling Giroud and Coquelin for less. Established PL players. You couldn't make it up
-
3 strikers: Morata, Giroud? and the other striker he referred to was Hazard who he said he can play there and can do a very good job there. So he basically was confirming Hazard as our 3rd striker. Also Juve played with 2 strikers up front so they had 4 strikers.
-
He has his flaws and I accept he is not a world beater at LB, but he has been a top signing for us, no too ways about it. Still is very underappreciated for what he has contributed to us.
-
I will take him. His minute to goal ratio is excellent and the amount of goals he got for Arsenal coming from the bench. That may be a huge bonus for us as the season goes on plus he scores goals with his foot and head. Some top goals too.
-
Good, convincing win. Reacted positively and hopefully that gets the team back on high confidence after the Arsenal loss. Bats, Hazard, Alonso were noteworthy performers but I will give my MOTM to Zappacosta. He was magnificent. He took his man on as much times as he could and was successful almost every time. Put in some brilliant crosses too, had a very good effort which was matched by a good save and a fantastic run and piece of skill got us the free kick which Alonso scored. He was top notch. Was go glad to see Hudson-Odoi come on. At first, Conte looked like he was going to send on Ampadu and Fabregas which would of annoy me being in a comfortable lead, you want to see your attacking, flair players come on. Showed a few nice touches and passes when he came on too. He has deserved it because Hudson-Odoi has been outstanding for development teams this season.

Another 2 goals. 11 goals in the league this season This is a 17 year old who mixes playing time between LB and LW, although more recently seems to have settled as a LW in recent games.
