  1. Our only senior wingers then for the next month or so will be Sancho and Neto and I would not be surprised if one of them get injured also. Quite ridiculous that we find ourselves in this situation and only the board can blame themselves for such stupid shortsighted thinking. We need Mudryk was suspended and let Felix and Carney go...
  2. That was so embarrassing to watch and I could see from the start of the game that we were not going to deal with Brighton. Not one shot on target! Totally unacceptable. That bench is frankly embarrassing. That was pretty much a bench you expect to be see in the U20 World Cup. To think we had one of the best squad depths to one of the weakest is quite shocking. Everything that was questioned has now hit is bang on the face. Did not sign a striker. Did not sign a winger but loaned out Felix. I said it before but loaning out Felix without getting a replacement is one of the must stupidest decisions made. Mudryk is banned. Whoever is in charge for making these decisions should be sacked because they have left us depleted in attack. Now Jackson, Guiu and Madueke are injured. This means in our next few games for forseeable future, we will not have one senior attacking player on the bench. Bare in mind the decisions to loan out Chukz and Felix and not buy any attacking players was done with us at the time competing for FA Cup, Premier League and UECL. We are now out of the FA Cup but did the board really think we could be competing in three trophies with that little depth and knowing that apart from Palmer and Jackson, most of our attackers are prone to injury. And ironically Jackson of all people gets injured. It is just infuriating because we are going to see many more games like this where we are outclassed. The team is way too inexperienced and there is no experience on the bench either. That was one of Palmer's worst ever games if not worst game for us. But yeah, really worrying. You would have thought Marecsa would have worked on something new after losing to them in the FA Cup, but we just looked worse. George actually looked decent when he came on at least.
  3. We were outplayed tonight. Maresca did not have answers. They nullified Palmer for most of the game. Nkunku struggled. Our bench options is so sad to see when you see how strong it was at beginning of season. We have the same team again on Friday. Not confident after what I saw tonight. We looked lost and in second half looked knackered.
  4. If the result stays how it is and Liverpool progress, the Aston Villa and Liverpool game which was scheduled to be on 15th of March will instead be rearranged for the 19th of February which is a bonus for us as this is three days before we play them on the 22nd of February and we have a whole week's rest. This is due to the Carabao Cup final scheduled to take place on the 15/16th of March.
  5. Oh sorry, I got confused. I thought you were saying we recalled Fofana due to Guiu being injured. Thanks for clarifying. I had no idea.
  6. Nope, but getting rid of him while we are already kind of limited in attack and not having replacement signed up is crazy. He also is a mainstay in the UECL and the more we used our fringe players for that, the better chances it helps us in the league games as our first team players have more rest. Yep, but Pep always would sign a replacement. Even after selling Alvarez, Pep realised he needed another CF/attacker and bought Marmoush. We should realise how crucial depth is in terms of helping you compete in all competitions. Fofana was recalled before last night's game. Guiu's injury had no part to play in Fofana being recalled.
  7. No matter what people's opinion on him is, loaning him out on the last day and not having a replacement is bonkers. Yes, we have been lucky so far with no injuries to the attackers, however what if Palmer picks up an injury? Also in UECL, the latter stages you expect the more of the main players to feature more and Felix was ideal for those games. Mudryk is banned for god knows how long and now loaning out Felix. I don't get the logic of this at all... Like I say towards end of season we will be possible in latter stages of FA Cup, UECL and competing for champions league places. This is very short-sighted but tbh I am not surprised when I see the board see a chance of making money.
  8. Well I personally think, the club did not have a fixed position for Havertz and I think the idea was to have another CF here, however Jackson looked really good in pre-season and start of season, so they kind of relied on him. He was half the price we sold for Havertz and if a team is willing to pay that much for a player who doesn't really fit in your team or has no tailor-made position, the money was too good to turn down. Similar to Mount. We ideally did not want him to go to another English team but as time went on, he had no fixed position and when United came in with that offer, was a no-brainer.
  9. I disagree. Havertz rarely scores more than one goal in a game. I feel all the flaws you said about Jackson is literally the same for Havertz. Havertz has missed loads of sitters this season himself. Just look at the United game in the FA Cup (excluding the penalty) as well as the Newcastle game. He missed open goal today also. I am mot saying Jackson does not miss sitters but they both are equally as bad when it comes to missing chances. Arsenal win more games because they have a better defence and are just a better team.
  10. Fair enough. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I would say he has found the net more at Arsenal but generally speaking the same levels of inconsistency is showing. I prefer Jackson to Havertz too. Havertz is a decent striker but like I say is just not prolific enough. He rarely ever scores goals like he did today. Very good at headers but I want my no.9 to strike fear to the opposition and he just doesn't. If they signed Watkins, they are complete.
  11. But no one said Jackson is killing it. He has been inconsistent. But you claimed Havertz is 'killing it' which is just not true.
  12. He has scored but missed a lot of sitters. Last season he started awful then had that massive goal glut where he could not top scoring. He started last season as a LCM too. It was only till after he was pushed forward, but it got to a point where his goal rate was so good last season, people were saying he is the complete no.9. I did not say it was his worst season but I said last season, the push was not as much as it is now to get a move. He has gone missing far too many times. He doesn't score enough goals with his feet. There is a reason Arteta has finally budged and made a bid for another striker. He has decent stats but his performances have been criticised heavily by his own fans. Just check the Havertz thread in the Arsenal forum throughout the season.
  13. Yes, @Vesper. Credit given. You are spot on. MLS is a star in the making. He looks like he has been playing that role for ages. He is the real deal and I think he is good enough to play LB for England already. What a performance today. Interesting that they bought Calafiori who was bought as the main LB but currently MLS is the main guy there. Good conundrum for them to have anyway. Don't like Arsenal but they have two top class talents in Nwaneri and MLS. 17 and 18. Wow.
  14. Are you being for real? Last season yes, this season he has been poor, hence the urge for them to get a new striker. He was good today though, bar that miss but let's be real. He has been way below par this season.
  15. Calling him a cunt based on a celebration. Wow. Yes he can come across a bit arrogant and can be frustrating, however do I see improvements to his game since he joined us? Yes. He has 6 goals and 3 assists in the league. Needs to be more productive in final third, but he definitely is a useful outlet to have. His direct dribbling and running is a bonus and causes opposition panic. People may argue Neto’s best position is from the right, however he also needs to improve in final third. Madueke for all his faults has scored some good goals this season. Felix, yes I agree is treated harshly based on his limited minutes but his position is not affected by Madueke. I would like to see him more but it feels for me your agenda against Madueke is a bit personal.
  16. Yeah, your hate for Madueke is getting pathetic. You sound like a child. Madueke is frustrating and inconsistent but on current form, Neto has been worse than Madueke and I don't see you criticise Neto.... I wonder why..
  17. Well he scored a hat-trick against Wolves and we won 6-2 this season 😄
  18. I still think Arsenal will challenge. FWIW Rice was their best player today by far. Made best chance of the game and I don't mean a set piece lol. I still feel Arsenal have the best fixtures as in that they have already got away trips such as City, Chelsea, Newcastle, Villa, Spurs out the way. They have to go to Anfield but many of the 'big names' they have played away from home. We have to go to City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Villa away from home still. Long way to go. It will help if the other English teams stay in Europe longer to boost our title chances.
  19. Solanke played 90 mins yesterday. He is fine but Ben Davies got injured last night so that leaves Dragusin as their only fit CB. Davies was filling as CB with Romero and Van de Ven injured.
  20. Palmer has no reason to be rested/rotated. He is only playing once a week until now as he has been left out from the group stages of the Conference League and also sat out the last international break. So he is one player I would imagine would defo start as he until now has been having a full week's rest.
  21. Several. Dibling, Harwood-Bellis and Ramsdale are their key players out but other regulars such as Downes, Bednarek. People who would have started or started in other players absences such as Smallbone, Lallana. Onuaucu, not clear if he is fit for this as he was very good against Liverpool before coming off injured. Although Liverpool won that game, Southampton played well and all their goals conceded was self-inflicted errors. So we cannot be complacent. Think/hope team will be something like this: Sanchez Gusto Badiashile/Tosin Colwill Cucu Caicedo Enzo Madueke Palmer Neto Nkunku
  22. It is weird how lowkey Dibling's spell at us was. When he went viral for scoring those hattrick of identical goals for Southampton in that academy or U21 game, I did not even know we had bought him shortly after, only for it not to work out and him end back at Southampton. He is such a real talent and only 18. I am not sure what happened at us, but obviously did not settle. Has a similar style of play to Palmer. He was fantastic today.
  23. We are playing Leicester at a good game. Buonanotte is suspended, who has been brilliant for Leicester since joining them on loan. Big bonus for us. Fatawu has done his ACL after getting injured on international duty. Real maverick of a player and he was brilliant in the FA Cup game at the Bridge last season. Ayew also got inured on international duty and is another doubt. Keep 11 on the pitch and don't play too much of a high line with Vardy in their attack and we should win this.
  24. Looks older than his age imo. Also bald at '22'. I say stay clear 😄
