  1. You have a point, I don't want to overhype him but judging what I have seen I do believe he will be a success but you are right, there is a big leap and he still has a lot of developing to do. That wasnt a dig at Josh but just feel Chalobah has the pyhsical skills to go along with his all round general play which could be benefical in future
  2. Victor Moses agent has reportedly said that he will try to make Moses move to Chelsea as much as he can. He also is stated as saying that it is nothing do with money reasons. He says that he advised Moses from moving to City few seasons ago to ensure he stayed at Wigan, before anyone says he is just looking for money. Wouldnt mind Moses but he would benefit with another season at Wigan, especially if we get another winger even though the facilities are not that great he will improve there. Mceachran has been touted as a possible exchange (on loan presumably). Would not be a bad move but if it is a Swansea situation with Josh I would advise against it, although I do see him making a few starts if he goes there but as many others have said I reckon getting a solid season at a Championship club would be beneficial either way. He has age on side
  3. Out of our youth, Chalobah is the one I am looking forward to see progress to the first team the most. He is the youngest representative for the England U19 at the championships and is a permanent starter in the team and scored against Croatia today. He has been playing above his age groups for club and country for some time now and truly believe he is going to follow Terry in being a rock at the back, even though he can excel as a DM/CM. Maybe he will be captain one day but although I am excited for the likes of Piazon, Feruz etc Chalobah has been at Chelsea his whole career. His anticipation, balance, possesion of the ball is world class. He has been playing with our reserves even at schoolboy ages and has always put in a shift. Would be brilliant to see him make an appearance soon, even if it is a brief apperance in a cup game but he deserves it. Will be interesting to see what RDM does with him. He will learn at Chelsea but he trains with the first team quite often and maybe a loan to a Championship team would do him good as experiencing first team football will enhance his game. He is playing for his country 2 years above his age group and is a consistent performer, even though being the youngest there. It is a matter of time that he starts pressing for the first team because his reserve/youth team plays have been astonishing. IMO he is going to surpass Mceachran at Chelsea. But just for anyone who is unsure of him we have a star in the making at us
  4. They dont't have that much strikers apart from Piquionnne (who probably will leave), Carlton Cole, Baldock and Vaz Te who Allardyce liked playing on the wings so looks a decent option to go West Ham, hopefully if they don't buy other loads of strikers
  5. People can't prove that Torres scoring at the Euros means, he is all of a sudden goalscoring hero at Chelsea. He has been poor with us. If he manages to get in a good goalscoring spell with us and get over 20 goals I will begin to accept that he finally is adjusting to his £50m transfer fee. He got he golden boot at the Euros yes, however their were spells last season where he looked like he was getting the hang of scoring again but then was inconsistent. For instance scoring against Swansea and working brilliantly with Mata then going on another poor run of form. Scoring 2 against Genk then losing form again. He scored an impressive hattrick against QPR then has a poor game against Newcastle and Liverpool in the league so I still have huge doubts. But as TorontoChelsea said I have nothing against Torres outside football, it is purely football reasons. I am behind every single Chelsea player and hope Torres is a success here, especially as we are going to need him to stand up much more now we don't have Drogba but looking at his time at Chelsea so far, I have every right to have my doubts
  6. I would 100% like Torress to succeed at Chelsea but I have high doubts and will continue to. We saw Drogba come up big for us when needed last season but Torres just doesnt turn up in these sort of games. He hasnt proven himself at us and how many chances are we going to give him. Hopefully we do buy another quality striker do provide competition and keep Torres on top of his game. Against Arsenal home and away last season he was just invisible in attack as was he against Liverpool as well. People may want to back him now but come next season if he does not hit off, many people here may have to change their words. That is why I am fully supportive of the move for Hulk as he can step in up front if Torres is not on form. He was very sharp in games against QPR and Genk but he did not deliver on a consistent basis. He scored 2 well taken goals against Ireland but their level of calibre is quite low and next season we don't have Drogba to turn to if Torres is misfiring. I am excited of what the new season brings ahead for us but we need another striker for sure IMO like the situation at Real Madrid who have 2 quality strikers. As Justin said he will not be the same player at Liverpool, he will get goals but do I have trust in him for a whole season? No, he has had many chances and not turned up. He was very outspoken of the signing of Mata claiming that he would help him score goals but after that Swansea game it just dried up. What will be the difference next season? That is why with the absence of Drogba we should look to buy another striker as Sturridge is not a proven striker for us and other teams, no matter how much he wants to play there Hopefully he does kick on next season though and score much more goals because it is about time you served us with a 20+ goalscoring season
  7. Kalou never held a permanent starting position in the team and while he is not everyone's favourite player he certainly put in his shift of goals, I liked him as a player, had a part to play with us in the FA Cup final and Champions League final and he can leave with happy memories, thanks for all Kalou.
  8. Spot on with that mate. The more days that goes on though, the more pessimistic I am about the deal going to happen. Maicon is a quality player, which kind of RB scores the type of goals he did against Milan last season. I agree fully about the attacking/defensive abilities although Maicon is not that bad defensively but going forward his power and pace will offer a lot. Here is his goal against AC Milan if anyone forgot
  9. You have a point, I just realised now that he is going to be 31 this month. However he is far from finished, I would rather Debuchy myself but Maicon for a RB just does things out of the ordinary, eg his goal against Milan was amazing. He is still very powerful and think he would be a good investment, but maybe not for the long term. I would prefer Debuchy but Maicon still has a lot to offer us and even if he does decline at us we already have a top RB in Ivanovic
  10. He ticks all the boxes for me. We got Bosingwa for a stupid price and we end up releasing him. Debuchy has been a revelation at the Euros and we can get him cheaper than £10m, why not, I hope we make a bid for him and him and Brana can rotate the RB position. With all respect to Newcastle, he surely would pick us over them. I hope we get Debuchy so we have 2 quality RB at the club. You would have thought France would of miss Sagna but with Debuchy's form at Euros he may find it hard to regain his place. Whoever gets this player has got him for a bargain for sure
  11. They play with wingbacks where he would be played
  12. Gourlay is doing a brilliant job. He is the reason why we are going to pass the FFP rules, the amount of revenue he is helping us with due to sponsorship deals is down to him.
  13. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11668/7842486/Ivanovic-urges-Modric-move just the news I was hoping for. Seems odd we are not rekindling out interest back in him as of yet after Spurs failed to reach the Champions League again. We could really do with his creativity and considering he his bound to leave Tottenham this time round, I support his move 100%. We lacked the creative skill last season
  14. Well if he joins Real I will be fine with, regardless of price. If he joins United for the value of what they rejected from us last season that will be a piss take. Anyway they got the battle in keeping away Modric from us, we got the last laugh in taking their place from the Champions League
  15. Thank you, he will vastly improve us. He strikes the fear out of defenders and his goalscoring record speaks a lot. Whilst Ramires put in brilliant performances on the right wing it is not his natural position. The difference with Hulk is that he has the strength, pace, skill, technique and versitality to succeed here
  16. The sad thing is Sturridge best performances were coming the right wing but his play seemed to be one dimensional and his performances level dropped. Hulk is expensive but no matter what league he played in I think he will be a brilliant signing. He is much better than Sturridge levek of ability and while many feel Hulk will be found out in the Premiership, I feel he can only excel with better players around him.
  17. I like Lukaku and believe he has a brilliant future, but an £18m star does not deserve reserve football again for another season. He has got the physical and technical attributes to succeed at us but I would rather him go on loan to another team in the Premier League or another European team where he will play week in, week out. At his age, the most important thing is first team football. If he has another season of substitute appearances it will hinder his potential. It is up to RDM to see how he features in his first team plans so really depends on him
  18. Every single season I have always been a fan of purchasing season reviews, thing I look forward to most, along with getting the new club t-shirt. The commentary is annoying, sounds a bit false. It is not that hard to use the ITV/ Sky Sports commentary that are used in the games rather than using the annoying Chelsea commentary. My brother is an Arsenal fan and also gets the season reviews of them. They use the match commentary from what they were broadcasted on, eg ITV, Sky Sports, ESPN. It makes the DVD much more exciting and thrilling to watch. The ITV commentary especially I have always liked. Although it is a 'Chelsea made' DVD I would prefer our DVD commentary to be sourced from unbiased views and based on the real match commentary we are shown on. This is the only flaw I wish would change. I don't know about this season as I should recieve my one in the post on monday, however the match length shown for a lot of our matches for the previous 2 seasons has been very short and seems to be done half-heartedly
  19. Host of reports are saying we are one of a few premier league clubs interested in Salomon Rondon. He had a decent season at Malaga and is good both in the air and also very fast and has age on his side. They will demand a fee reportdely of around £20m or more, quite expensive but I wouldn't mind a young striker like him who has age on his side and can provide decent competition to Torres
  20. He is still a Blackburn player as things stand
  21. Moses is a very talented player but if you asked me do we need him I would say no. He is not proven at a big club, he is talented but we have many others who are talented. If we have the likes of Kakuta, who I hope has a Chelsea future, Sturridge, Marin, De Bruyne potential as well, Lalkovic looks a decent prospect but maybe not good enough for the first team and the likes of Ramires and Hazard and Malouda, where is Moses going to find valuable playing time? Kakuta had a decent loan at Dijon and I believe he can make the grade. If we are going to buy Moses we can't waste his potential by not playing him and this would be inevitable with the amount of attackers at the club. If it was RDM that made the reported bid for Moses it would be interesting as maybe he has plans to sell a couple of players and involve Moses in but surely this means we are not interested in Hulk anymore I guess. I really like Moses, but are there people with me in thinking it would be a waste of time for him to come here?
  22. He didnt turn up in games against us and Dortmund this season however Bayern beat Man City thanks to 2 Gomez goals which contributed to Man City's exit from the Champions League. He also scored a hatrick against Napoli, another big team who nearly knocked us out. He scored the winner in the home game against Real Madrid and he earned the penalty away to Real Madrid which eventually led to Real Madrid being knocked out. Basel are not a 'brilliant' team however Bayern lost the first leg to them 1-0 and they needed to win the second leg and who stepped up to the task? Mario Gomez with 4 goals. So apart from all his 40+ goals, I would say he has turned up when it matters in certain big games
  23. Brilliant news 4-2-3-1 will definitely be our formation next season then. I just hope the situation does not turn into the Liverpool situation with Dalglish, who got sacked. RDM won us the Champions League and FA cup and if we hit bad form next season and he gets sacked it would be awful to think that he would of been remembered as a Chelsea player/legend to a further legend who won us the double in his stint in charge to then being sacked. Hope he does well and may he bring us the league next season. The title is the aim next season:)
