  1. Arsenal dropping points has made my day. They were breathing down our necks.
  2. Poor decision to award Liverpool penalty there. Don't see how that was a penalty. For me KDB, one yesterday was more of a penalty than this one but that one was not given...
  3. We were dominant and created chances. Ziyech created 2 big chances. One for Lukaku and his header narrowly missed the target. He set up Werner brilliantly also but he missed. It was one of our most dominant performances.
  4. I am not sure what game you were watching, but we absolutely battered them first game and it says more that we were disappointed with the score ending 2-0, as we should have scored more and spurned many opportunities. The second leg, we were dominant first half also. Spurs only turned it on second half and that was about it.
  5. But again, if anyone had said Leicester would be in that position start of the season, you would have said brilliant job. I don't think there is another manager right now who would be doing a better job than he is with the players available. And I reckon he could do a good job at an elite team. He has proven to be a top coach and improve players.
  6. I disagree with this. He has done as good as a job he can at Leicester. Has had them pushing above their weight. Won the FA Cup and has twice narrowly missed out on the Champions League, but still guided them to Europa which was a good achievement in it's own. Leicester have also been decimated with injuries. I mean last night's game look who they had out: Evans, Fofana Castagne, Bertrand, Pereira, Evans, Mendy, Iheanacho, Vardy, pretty sure there is more. Pretty sure there is more. This has been the case for most of their season. Any manager who has a casualty list like that will struggle. All managers generally anyway eventually lose their buzz at a team, no matter how good they are. Happens with all Chelsea managers. I mean Ancelotti did not necessarily do anything special at Everton and looked he got the Real job and looks like they will win the league. He has gone from doing a basic job at Everton to now leading a team to a La Liga title and who knows possible the UCL as well and maybe if BR works with a better team and bigger budget he can do bigger things too.
  7. Body language was also interesting. Looked like players were fed up Lukaku. Players seemed to often avoid playing him in and when he complained at both Ziyech and Azpi, they both bit back, which you don't usually see.
  8. Awful performance. We got outplayed that whole game and Tuchel is a lot to blame as well. Should have taken advantage when we were 1-0 up and made changes. Kovacic, Havertz should have come on a lot earlier. We had no control. The players looked lost. Alonso starting at LB had danger all written over it. We all knew it would be a weak spot. I don't even know why pundits are so clinging on to this 'we lose ground on the leaders City'. Facts is we are in a top 4 race. In terms of games to be played ratio, we would fall behind Spurs if they win their games in hand and also Arsenal would draw level on us. James and Chilwell are huge losses. It is weird that we looked so good against Spurs in both games of cup but look so bad in the league games. Such a big game on weekend against Spurs. Cannot afford to lose.
  9. Exaggeration, big time. There is still time for it to be a success. Yes, he has not made the best headlines but for me he can still make a big contribution towards now and end of season. I still think he will end up around 15 league goals, possibly more who knows and still have the UCL and I still believe while he will have his inconsistencies, he will have big moments too. You would think the season is over if your are stating this is the worst signing ever. Let's wait until the season is actually done.
  10. Dunk as mentioned by a previous poster, Duffy (two of their biggest aerial threats), Bissouma who for me is their best player and Lallana picked up an injury over the weekend and most likely out tomorrow.
  11. Has a rough start to his career. Left us in the summer and probably expected to be involved more than he has been for Leeds. Only made his senior debut last week in the cup and got subbed at H/T. Thought he was actually decent and then today came on as a sub during first half then Bielsa subbed him off with that being his last sub with basically half hour left. Looks assured on the ball but physically needs to develop I guess a bit more. Looking at their injury list, should be involved in the upcoming games if Biela trusts him.
  12. Saul, CHO. Anyone but just not Alonso. We are on the back foot and it is just going to spell danger for us.
  13. Keeping Alonso on at LWB is a disaster waiting to happen. Take him off while we have the chance. Because he can't afford to make any risky tackles and they are just going to keep targeting that side. Don't avoid going a man down. Just take him off.
  14. Lewis Hall has started really brightly. I know it is only Chesterfield but looks very composed on the ball and has a good burst of acceleration on the ball. Only 17. Really impressed.
  15. Such a shame Werner was not able to convert that pass from Ziyech. What a ball that was. It was literally reminiscent of a ball Ziyech did for Werner last season against Sheffield United in that game we won 4-1 at the Bridge. Literally a carbon copy and ball fell for same player and same angle and Werner actually lofted it over the keeper's head but narrowly went wide. Top performance from him anyway. Needs to develop a bit of muscle, but very pleased by his performance. Saul was very pleasing. What pleased me most was his composure and confidence to carry the ball forward. When you are low on confidence and not getting much game time, it is easy to just play it safe, but no, he was so assured and played a top game. Sarr very good too. We did not give Kane or Son a sniff all game.
  16. What a game. Both defences were leaky. We definitely deserved that though. Played the better football. Their tactic was mainly over the top to Salah or Mane. Kovacic was brilliant all game. Absolutely bossed that game. He dominated the stats this game as shown by skysports. Chalobah made a huge mistake and was shaky first half but he recovered really well second half and regained composure. Silva was brilliant also and Rudiger came on top quite a few times with Salah. The result all but confirms City will win the title but proud the way the team played in light of recent events and player absences.
  17. I think Anthony Taylor was enjoying the game so much, he nearly forgot to blow for half time 🤣🤣
  18. Simply because it is the rags we are facing, I couldn't celebrate either goals because you know the biased favourism towards them.
  19. WOW. If Mount had got a red card for that and Mane avoided a red, my anger would be unrivalled. Luckily was able to keep the anger tamed.
  20. Both teams have key players missing, whether through covid or injuries. Liverpool's bench though in terms of making impact looks weak, so if we are in the game, we can win this. Fingers crossed. Question marks to how match sharp Havertz is though.
  21. I actually think the decision not to give Arsenal a penalty first half was correct. The keeper got touch on ball and not conclusive enough to overturn, however the decision to overturn City's one for a penalty was dubious. The two yellows were correct. Gabriel cost Arsenal really because City were so poor today and without Arsenal going down to ten they definitely weren't winning this game, probably losing.
  22. I put money on Arsenal springing a surprise today. No Foden and Ake at LB always is a disaster waiting to happen. It is funny though that the commentator said that those in Merseyside and West London will be cheering. I am in the boat that wants City to win right now. Not just because of the points gap, but the injuries also, just too much of a gap to make up. Arsenal are right on our tails, have no Europe and a close threat to us right now.
  23. LOL. Poor comparison. Mount is far from the finished article but has already probably bettered Wilshere's stats for goals and assists at the age of 22 than Wilshere has done his whole career.
  24. I think it will. The 3-4-2-1 we play just doesn't seem to have the right fluidity between the attackers. A lot of our attacking players also have never played in this system before playing under Tuchel. It is more easier to mark the attackers out the game in that formation to because there is more reliance on the defenders, while 4-2-3-1, it is reliant on most of the attackers to do the work. Even if it did not work, I still think it is worth trying a change in shape. Tuchel was known to be a tinkerman, however he never changes formation and rather than change shape, he would rather shoehorn players in other positions, just so we keep the same formation.
