If anything, the games will be less attacking. When the away goals was there, it encouraged teams away from home to pick up that vital away goal, while now there is not that incentive. I mean look at Madrid for the whole game last night. They rarely got out their own half and seemed to just play for the draw. In terms of fairness, the away goals removal makes sense, but excitement levels, the games will not be as entertaining now. Especially if this game was anything to go by.

No chance. They tried getting Abraham off us and we were very reluctant to sell him there and we managed to convince Abraham to move to Roma. I am relieved they did not get Abraham as that is where he wanted to go initially. Broja's on a long term contract, so we hopefully will never entertain this. Let's offer them Batshuayi instead

He is a really good CB tbh. He is good on the air, good on the ball and while not the fastest, is not a slouch. Even he scored the equalizer against us, he was the best player on the pitch beside that.
-
Where is the urgency??? It is 1-1 not 1-0. Wake up.
-
Brilliant again. The only thing lacking was a goal. Should have scored that chance when he skipped past Maguire. Varane is one of the fastest CB in football and he went past him like he wasn't there. MOTM for me. Top game. Won his aerial battles also. All in all. Top all rounded striker.

Minamino and Origi are decent back ups and there goal tally would be good if they started often. Our attacking numbers make horrible reading and for me we can continue to buy attackers but we need to work on attacking phase as it will be deja-vu all over again.
-
Wow, I hope you don't own any cats... otherwise I worry for them.

Was an absolute handful again. Scored but could of had a hattrick, but his pace tormented the Spurs defence. Another impressive outing. Amount of progress is evident when you realise that he started of from not getting a game, apart from up games then being brought on as a sub to now undisputed starter.

All this happy, Mr nice guy is just a total facade. Shows you can never judge a book by it's cover. And the fact his brother or whoever posted that and puts laughing emoji's as it is some joke. Don't buy his comment that it was an isolated incident. Ambassador for big cats my ass. Waste of space.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2022/feb/06/overmars-ashamed-after-quitting-ajax-over-inappropriate-messages Silly boy. Think he really was over Mars with this one...

Maybe I am clutching at straws but the pitch is not as big as Emirates and a lot of the times the attackers just don't seem to have the space to channel down the wing and beat a man constantly. Just looks relatively small when I compare it to other grounds.

Jota looks ten times player that Jota does now and at the time we bought Werner and they bought Jota, who would have thought so? Havertz was getting into double figures 2 or maybe 3 seasons running at Leverkusen on and when we bought him, it was seen as a real coup because we were one of only teams who could afford him and he would of played a lot football and any teams in the league. Ziyech, the Ajax player too, these were players with top stats. But now, looks shadow of his former self, even though he has improved in recent weeks. Lukaku, I know people had doubts before the move but again a prolific scorer at most teams he is and now utter shit at us... Pulisic under Lamps looked for a while a top player and now inconsistent. I actually think if Jota came here, he would be in similar predicament. Pitch is not too big as well compared to likes of Etihad and Emirates I am sure, and always thought does this maybe affect the way our wingers aren't able to influence games as much. We can buy players but again will they just fall into a system where they struggle to impact.. possibly. They were poor today but I struggle to believe all these players have turned bad overnight. It is not just one attacker, all our attackers return is shit. Mount has a decent return but again, the goals has fallen off for him also.

Kepa did well to read it, but "what a save" is an over-exaggeration. Let's be honest 😁
-
Is it excuses... why is it that they struggle here but hit it off at their previous clubs? Coincidence or not. Been a problem way too long.
-
The coaching of the attacking set up is maybe the question. We buy players who are stars at their previous clubs and look lost when they play for us. If we buy more and more players, it will just be de-ja-vu. Maybe something needs to be looked at in the structure because it is way too many players.
-
He made a poor error and Kepa saved his ass and he started off really shakily in his first few Chelsea games, but come on he has really improved last few weeks and was more than deserving of his place in the team.

Will defo be a very strong team out. Tuchel said that with all respect to the young players, the professional team will take care of the game. All the youngsters you possibly may have expected to participate today also played for development squad last night (Vale, Hall, Simons). So indicates how strong Tuchel is taking this and I am glad about that.
-
Well both Lamps and Vieira play 4-3-3. At Palace he would play with Gallagher instead of competing with him I assume. Everton he would play just in front of Doucoure and Allan.

Ok, at the time who was our star player? Who was the one player you are seeing in that team and thinking, yeah real quality. Arsenal had Aubemyang who was a world class striker at the time. Also bought £72m Pepe who ripped up Ligue 1 and at time they had him, looked like he would be a top signing. Also had Lacazette. At time of that season, would you say our strikers were near there quality or even winger? Obviously Pepe has not cut it at Arsenal but I envied them signing him. We decided to sign Kovacic who many fans before start of season were hesitant on but he had his best season for us. Anyway on paper, Arsenal had 3 players capable of scoring goals in Pepe, Auba and Laca to lesser extent but at time speaking, either of those strikers would have walked into our team. I don't need to mention City and Liverpool as they were comfortably ahead of everyone else. United bought Fernandes in January but also spent over £200m or so that season on their defence and midfield/attack. Secured Fernandes in January who is streets ahead of anyone we had in our team. Not surprised they finished above us, considering we did not buy anyone in January. Spurs had Kane and Son and also bought N'Dombele who (AT THE TIME) looked a top signing for them. Also at the time, probably had one of the best CB in league in Alderweireld. Rudiger may be one of top CB now, however at the time that is like me saying United bought £80m Maguire who was brilliant at Leicester. Also had Shaw who is streets ahead of Alonso. Christensen and Rudiger are a lot better now, however at the time they looked shaky in a back 4 and still possibly may do. You mentioned Ajax and Spurs away. We had several games in the league where we played top football. We beat Palace 2-0 but played them off the park. Beat Waftord 2-1, but controlled large parts of that game, however a mix of players who are poor in final third productivity meant the scoreline was closer than should have been. Brighton, Newcastle again we were thoroughly dominant but not surprised we could not finish games off when we had likes of Willian playing. Games lost also where we played in such a good manager, we got a lot of credit due to performance. We lost 2-1 City at Etihad but had large dominant spells and I think that was one extraordinary game where we had more possession than City. Lost to Liverpool 2-1 and majority of our fans applauded our team end of game due to the way we played, despite our losing. Could you imagine that happening the following season with Lamps where we spent bucket loads? Never. But expectations were a lot lower, because we lost one of the world's best players and could not effectively replace him. Lamps first season managing in PL. I expected Spurs and Arsenal to finish above us that season. Why? Because they had 2 world class strikers who know how to put the ball in back of net. I just don't see how you say a more serious manager would have finished in top 4 with that squad when likes of Conte, despite winning us league guided us to 6th place following season with likes of Hazard in his team. Sarri, whilst winning us Europa and top 4, only also just about got us in top 4 in the last 2 games of season. Like I say, other managers at other clubs with more experience struggle to do what Lamps done.
-
Highly disagree. When he took over as manager, my expectations were low and a lot of other supporters were too. You say we nearly blew a top 4 position, but point is how many people expected us to be in top 4 from the start of the season? So finishing top 4 regardless was a top achievement considering we lost our best player and could not sign a new new players. Pulisic joined obviously but was no way near same level and had injury problems and had to settle in also. Abraham was taking on the mantle for leading the line whilst really young. Mount's first season at us. We sold Luiz and promoted Tomori. Our wingers were Pedro, Pulisic, Willian and you can say Mount as he was shifted out wide several times. The squad was not screaming quality so when you say Sarri or Allegri woudl have got top 4 with that squad, highly debatable. You see clubs like Arsenal spending millions each summer and still struggle to get top 4. We done that whilst let's face it, we had promising youngsters, however where was the real quality like standout player for us? He also got us to a cup final and also getting through the group stages of UCL. If we weren't in Europe then yes, maybe I would say he had easier task but the amount of competitions we were involved in also, he done brilliantly to guide us top 4. I think most managers would struggle to get that squad in top 4. Kante had his injury problems throughout the season. LB options were Alonso and Emerson. We played some scintillating football also and we nearly blew the top 4 but genuinely after the ban and Hazard and even Luiz sale, this was my season were my expectations were really low. I was actually astonished we got top 4. I think he deserves more credit than he gets.

Delighted for him. Long overdue a step up to a team playing European football and a team who plays very exciting football. Good move for both parties. Always been a big fan of him. He is at AFCON duty.
-
Credit to CHO. Kept on going and caused Tangana big problems. Done excellently for the second goal.
-
Glad for Ziyech. He was our best player first half and at least is always trying to make something happen.
-
I have had it for months tbh.

Please tell me where I called anyone for disagreeing? I had an opinion that he was the best striker on the market. People who were against signing him, I disagreed and had a debate. There is a difference. Please understand that this is a forum where everyone has different opinions. Has he disappointed me? Yes, big time, but please show me quotes before you say I called people out for disagreeing.
