We said the same against Arsenal and Spurs and the trio worked. United have tons of defensive problems and I reckon we will cause them havoc with Oscar, Mata and Hazard all playing
-
Cech was captain against Spurs so I assume he will regain the captaincy against United definitely
-
You don't appreciate what he does for the team. He makes the odd error here and there and sometimes is made the scapegoat but he is on average a very consistent performer. He does his role for the team, as simplay as that. BTW, I am sure people highly rate Ramires, everyone appreciates how much he has improved on us but don't make it look like Mikel only looks good when Ramires play, it takes a joint performance. When we kept Cazorla and co quiet for most of the game, Ramires greatly contributed as did Mikel, they could not get past him and Mikel never lost the ball. You seem 2 pick out where he makes mistakes but yet you have not picked out anything good he does. Despite conceding 2 goals to Spurs I thought he had an overall solid game. He kept very composed in games against Wigan and Newcastle this season and again displayed his strides of improvement he has made at us. Also our Champions League win? How many injuries/suspensions we had for that final against Bayern. We got dominated that match but IMO along with Cech and the rest of our defence he was as good as anyone with his role. We are top of the league atm and deserved and you seem to have this outgoing criticism of Mikel. RDM clearly sees the true value of him and how he has performing and I am sure there is a reason we are top of the league, As good as our attack has been, it helps when you have you're hard working/ anchor man players doing their roles properly like Makelele done for us.

Support your team through to the end mate, regardless of performance
-
We looked destined to lose even when Lampard was on. We were getting outplayed.
-
You criticized Hazard because he didnt shoot properly but daid Torres was decent. What did he do, he is the striker and the one who should be "SHOOTING" in our goals but once again looks like a scared little boy. Hazard was our most prominent threat going forward and to say he was awful is far extreme, he impressed me, just wished he put his chances away but at the end of the day no one else apart from Oscar late on looked like scoring. Hazard caused their defence numerous amounts of problems
-
Whether he was at fault for the second goal or not, going forward he was our best player. Glided through the defence with ease at times and is something I wanted to see more off, because he seemed to have lacked that thrive to take on players like he did at the start of the season. He is only 21 though, got best years ahead with us. Sure he will cause United all kind of problems on Sunday

That is some joke. I hope I find out that Moses was injured because if he was left out, quite a joke. RDM must know that Shakhtar are a very attacking team and Moses would have been useful for the counter attack. Well it is no shame losing, was always going to be a hard game, Arsenal lost there too, just annoyed that we didnt really show up today. Hopefully at the Bridge we give them a battering. BTW thanks god Juventus drew
-
To go the next level and actually think we can win the Champions League for a second time in a row, a new striker (Falcao) is needed asap. At this rate it is 50/50 that we even make it through our group and when we play the likes of Juventus we need a striker who is going to really give there defence a torrid time, something which I am sure Torres will not do considering our home game against Juventus. Think RDM should have brought on Moses in the latter stages though, rather confused why he didnt tbh. Quite annoyed how lacklusture we looked in attack tonight, consider our trouncing of Spurs. Must say was really impressed with Hazard when he came on though, that is how he started the season want to more of that where he tries to control the game by himself, showed some glimpses of quality tonight

Already been mentioned

Yes Feruz seems to have attitude problems and be arrogant from twitter evidences but he still looks a very promising player. Scored against Arsenal U21 which virtually was most of their first team squad and scored a hattrick for the Scotland Under 19, 2 years above his actual age group and has already featured for the Scotland U21 at the age of 16. Hopefully the talent keeps to grow
-
A loss would be a blow but it is not the end of the world. We still have them to play at home and there is no reason to suggest we won't gain points away to Juventus. All to play for regardless of the result IMO, ideally a win would be brilliant but I would take a draw
-
Nice one, like that
-
Such a terrific talent but shame his injuries is blighting him. A few years ago at Bremen, he was destined for stardom but injuiries have hampered him. Like Pato, if it wasnt for injuiries we would see 2 outstanding players on a weekly basis
-
Haha, this gets funnier, I am sure you are the same same person under another account who made those racist comments the other day and got banned. What a fool.
-
Maybe if you didnt post stupid crap, people would take you more seriously. Then calling him monkey, I don't know what conext you mean that in but be careful of the language you use on these forums as comments like that can get you banned

Who remembers when we beat Scarborough by only 1-0 in 2004? We were saved embarresment through the ref tbh. Terry was marginally offside for his goal and Gallas made a clear handball in the area. Chelsea fans who have been supporting us for over 6 years should remember this. Just shows that anything is possible in this game. Sad thing is now I don't even think Scarborough exist anymore
-
It doesnt weaken us IMO but do we need to make over 3 changes to a winning team in a game like this. Also I am not saying that the players who would come in are awful or wilweaken us but I know for a fact RDM will start Torres over Sturridge again IMO and can't see Ivanovic being dropped for this game
-
We should play our best team available and not worry about the Manu game. It is 5 days after the Shakhtar game, enough rest off period for the players. Ivanovic will and should start. We have to go in the intention of ignoring the Manu game because for now this is our most important one. Get this game out the way then we worry about Manu but this isnt an easy game so I am sure RDM will play his team who he feels is best suited for the game. The only change I many expect is Terry in for Cahill/Luiz and the rest of the team to be the smae as the one who beat Spurs
-
Enjoy these kind of games. Good thing is BBC1 or ITV1 always screen one of the minnows home ties against the bigger opposition. Looking forward to the Met Police vs Crawley and Hayes and Yeading/Borehamewood vs Brentford games in particular. I remember last season when AFC Totton played Bristol Rovers. Bristol Rovers battered them but it is a very enjoyable game to watch, these kind of matches. Good thread for people to share FA Cup stories as well
-
We won the game is the main thing... that has no relevance tbh

The amount of times I have gone on to these post match threads for the past few weeks and every time I think I have voted Mata as MOTM. Another masterclass performance, contributing goals and assists for fun recently. Also today showed me despite what people have to say about him, we have on of the best holding midfielders in the Prem in Mikel. He has been immense recently, one of our unsung heroes. I like the fact that when Mikel received all those racist abuse on twitter, RDM stuck by him and his performances have reflected that. Mata clearly star of today, but brilliant work all round from Mikel and Ramires as well who performed brilliantly. If Ramires improves on his shooting, I would say he is one of the best all round midfielders around
-
I dare Del Bosque to leave him out the national squad again. Mata will just do his talking on the pitch, marvelous performance. Spain's loss is our gain!
-
Gareth Bale: thanks a lot , nevertheless brilliant performance from the boys!
-
Our fans always seems to sound much more vocal in away games than home games. Something I have noticed for a while
