  1. Don't know what it is about Antonio Valencia but he seems to completely destroy Ashley Cole whenever he comes up against him. Right from his Wigan to United games he gives Cole such a hard game. Today was just another performance where he completely exploited Cole. Still a brilliant LB either way but just seems that he is cursed everytime he is up against Valencia
  2. Tevez? He has been inconsistent, he had a good performance on Saturday but that was his first PL goal in 8 games. He has been decent if anything
  3. Losing 2-0 is spoiling my weekend but at least Lukaku is scoring again. Just scored against Newcastle
  4. To cut a long story short, Mikel is a better DM than Y. Toure, however Y. Toure is a better midfielder than Mikel
  5. Tough one, I do see where you are coming from tbh, people will have mixed views. I wouldnt say your point is ludicrous at all, I think Yaya Toure is one of the best midfielders in the world, rate him very highly.
  6. Lukaku was bought in for £18m because of his potential. We should not even judge Lukaku this season on his fee because that is not his current value but what is potential represents is around there, possibly more. He has years to prove himself and so far has been impressive in his loan spell at WBA
  7. The annoying thing with Torres is that he will score in one game and people will think this is going to kickstart his season but then he goes on a drought for another 3 games then will score in the next game and then people are left thinking maybe he is starting to hit his stride and then back to square 1. Really frustrating because if he was on fire every game I think people could easily argue we have the most fearsome attack in Europe
  8. I don't think David Luiz is overrated at all for those who think he is. The media constantly pick out his errors he makes but seem to ignore for the pros he brings to the team. This season I think he has been very solid, couple errors here and there but overrall I think he has had a fantastic season so far and is one of my favourites. Some people say he was at fault for the Gervinho goal but apart from that he had a spectacular game and hardly put a foot wrong. The funny thing is because if anything I would say Luiz is underrated because when people here of him, many assume straight away that he may lose his cool and do something stupid when in fact he is our all round best defender. He is improving all the time at us
  9. WTF cares what other fans think? People who watch him (Chelsea fans) know him best and are the best ones to analyze his performance, not other fans and I know for a fact I would say he is our most improved player over the years.
  10. Course not mate only banter, nothing personal
  11. So you would be happy with an all youth team being sent out? Of course is matters lmao
  12. In fairness to Count, he has a decent point because Torres has scored quite a few headers at his time at Liverpool and quite a few at us as well and is some what underrated in the air. Brilliant scored headers against Genk, Wolves and Norwich as well IIRC but I don't think that should even be a factor for this game of why he should start
  13. The truth is Torres was better than him but that is the past now. While most people want to see Sturridge starting the real truth is that we don't have a "prolific striker" at the club. Even towards the end of last season Sturridge dipped off form, bar the QPR game but in all fairness to him he has not been given enough time to prove he should be the no.1 striker here. It is good that we are getting goals from all around the team, the defenders being there to show the attackers how to do it but there is no evidence that Sturridge will be prolific if given the chance, even though I have high hopes for him. This is what worries me about United game, Rooney/RVP can play poor anytime but know how to hit the net and that could be the diffference in the game or perhaps at the table at the end of the season. I pray we get Falcao so we are taken to the next level. Whether that makes Torres feel pushed out, who cares tbh. Man City have 4 quality strikers and won the league last season, Real Madrid have 2 quality strikers and won the league last season and United have 4 out and out quality strikers. There is no reason why we shouldnt do the same so when people say Falcao to trade for Torres I think, Torres can be back up and come in rotation, that way he knows he can't get in the starting 11 even when he has a bad performance.
  14. Fair point but I don't think that would be a reason for RDM to start him. I think it comes down due to the fact that he believes Torres works well with the team and although Torres has his off games we are managing to win our league games even if it means him not getting on the scoresheet whereas Sturridge is not a proven out and out striker, even though I believe he has what ti takes to get bags of goals in the CF position
  15. LOL, Torres will not start ahead of Sturridge due to "his height". That is ridiculous. Regarding Lamps, shame he is injured but I am quite positive that even if he was fit he would of been a sub for this game.
  16. Erm, maybe because you made over 4000 posts more than him, muppet
  17. WTF? I am sure that quote was from Kojo but somehow you made it look this quote was me I am a big fan of Mikel
  18. We drew both games after the Atletico game then just about managed victory against Stoke.....
  19. We said the same against Arsenal and Spurs and the trio worked. United have tons of defensive problems and I reckon we will cause them havoc with Oscar, Mata and Hazard all playing
  20. Cech was captain against Spurs so I assume he will regain the captaincy against United definitely
  21. You don't appreciate what he does for the team. He makes the odd error here and there and sometimes is made the scapegoat but he is on average a very consistent performer. He does his role for the team, as simplay as that. BTW, I am sure people highly rate Ramires, everyone appreciates how much he has improved on us but don't make it look like Mikel only looks good when Ramires play, it takes a joint performance. When we kept Cazorla and co quiet for most of the game, Ramires greatly contributed as did Mikel, they could not get past him and Mikel never lost the ball. You seem 2 pick out where he makes mistakes but yet you have not picked out anything good he does. Despite conceding 2 goals to Spurs I thought he had an overall solid game. He kept very composed in games against Wigan and Newcastle this season and again displayed his strides of improvement he has made at us. Also our Champions League win? How many injuries/suspensions we had for that final against Bayern. We got dominated that match but IMO along with Cech and the rest of our defence he was as good as anyone with his role. We are top of the league atm and deserved and you seem to have this outgoing criticism of Mikel. RDM clearly sees the true value of him and how he has performing and I am sure there is a reason we are top of the league, As good as our attack has been, it helps when you have you're hard working/ anchor man players doing their roles properly like Makelele done for us.
  22. Support your team through to the end mate, regardless of performance
  23. We looked destined to lose even when Lampard was on. We were getting outplayed.
  24. You criticized Hazard because he didnt shoot properly but daid Torres was decent. What did he do, he is the striker and the one who should be "SHOOTING" in our goals but once again looks like a scared little boy. Hazard was our most prominent threat going forward and to say he was awful is far extreme, he impressed me, just wished he put his chances away but at the end of the day no one else apart from Oscar late on looked like scoring. Hazard caused their defence numerous amounts of problems
