But it is not like Fulham are a team with flying fullbacks. They are likely to enter a defensive approach and I was hoping if he was going to rest one of the 'three amigos' Moses would come in for this game, not Bertrand ffs. Really surprised.

Realistically who is going to buy Torres? If Atletico sell Falcao they are not going to do in exchange due to their financial troubles. They will want the full £48-50m and if they get the money and buy another striker as people have mentioned they most likely will pursue Cavani or someone. Also even if we get Falcao in January, which I doubt, the likelihood of Torres leaving in January IMO is zero, we will have to wait till the summer. But Falcao or Cavani I will take any of them. IMHO I think Cavani may be more suited here but I would equally take Falcao.

Well first half yes, second half the fans greatly improved though.

He has not been out of place in any game he has played this season. I hope he is a permanent starter there at RB over Ivanovic as is your natural kind of RB you want.

Scored 1 on saturday and assisted another. Was also voted as MOTM. As much as like Willian, Fernandinho is a player I would love to come here who could play in that double pivot role. Fantastic player.
-
Who ever voted him needs to go and see an optometrist.
-
Surprised Luiz has only 4 votes. Him and Cezar are both my joint MOTM. Today I can accept if the performance was a bit slow but against Fulham, who have lost their last 2 league games and have Hangeland suspended, a win is a must, no excuses, I want goals!

LOL, wouldnt even bother reading that. Clearly a fabricated story as City have four strikers at their club who are better than Torres so that would be just ridiculous.

Random, but I always look out for Anderlecht. Ever since I went Belgium I gained interest with them. They also have a brilliant youth set up. The youngsters they have and Belgium's future too, are very exciting. Younger Lukaku, Bruno and especially Dennis Praet, who I think will move in the not too distant future, would be best if he stayed but you lot have a very exciting future ahead of you. Club and country btw. Mbokani and Kouyate are big faves of mine

Despite his legendary status at us I am one of a few who thinks this will look so stupid on the club if he returns? I am not for it and shows that we are in a desperate situation to bring back a striker whose last kick at the club should be the penalty kick that won us the Champions League. Sorry Drog, but not up for this.

You have put all the money into the club Roman but FUCK YOU!

I would have felt so much better had Abramovich decided not to hand RDM the further 2 year contract. I was really thankful for what RDM done but I knew when he got the contract it would definitely lead to this and now it adds bitter taste. Had Abramovich decided to offer another manager the job during the summer I would have preferred it with reasons being that: RDM wouldnt of been sacked as he finished out contract which ended at the end of the season ans 2 he could leave knowing he done the best for the club. But now him being sacked just wipes some of that Munich victory away for me. Regardless as a person, RDM can hold his heads high for what he done here, truly thankful and think it was the wrong decision
-
I like the idea of Simeone. He has done a fantastic job at Atletico.
-
After RDM got sacked and us likely to be in the Europa League I don't really give a toss about that CWC anymore. I hope people realize that if we have Benitez he will hardly be an improvement to RDM and any manager who has a blip in form (which will happen) will be sacked. Quite ridiculous really, just looked at United last season. It is shambles, the wya managers are replaced here, a serious, serious joke. It is not like our CL group was easy as well, there was no shame in losing to Shakhtar and Juventus, they are 2 good teams. RDM did not have control over the transfer market, apart from Moses and now us failing to get a striker IMO has cost him his job. Feel absolutely devastated for him. We just can't build a legacy, the man won us the FA Cup and Champions League last season, with the latter never being done before. Horrible treatment, only with Chelsea this can happen.
-
Please stop this Torres fanboy stuff about him not getting chances. He is shit and had brilliant service, stop making excuses for him. Had we had a proper CF maybe RDM would still be at the helm. We went into the season with a no.1 forward who has lost everything he had at Liverpool and it is starting to cost us.
-
Woow, Sky Sports confirmed that RDM has stated he and other members of staff expects him to lose his job after the loss to Juventus. I will be absolutely livid and confused if he is booted, would be quite ridiculous and shows we have no stability. SAF didnt get sacked when United went out the group stage or finished trophyless last season, but guess what United will always come back stronger. RDM has been doing well considering our options up front, maybe if we pursued a striker back in summer the situation would be different but please, I hope this is a lot of crap about him being sacked, totally stupid.
-
Sturridge was the main catalyst for why we won the game last season, had a hand in both goals and absolutely terrorized Clichy. Hope to see him starting again if declared fit.
-
I also hate when you get people saying "Torres should have started". No he should not have, he is shit nearly every game he plays for us and had to be dropped as he kept starting even when he was playing awful. Torres starting tonight, would not of had a difference, I still would prefer if he is benched against City. People claiming Torres should have started is a lame excuse to put pressure on RDM.

Felt absolutely humiliated and depressed after the game, getting over it now but still can't face the fact that we are making our own history in a bad way, being the first ever holders to go out in the group stage. But it is not all doom and gloom, Shakhtar will want to top the group and for certain will play their best team against Juve and they are a formidable outfit at home and outplayed Juve in Turin. Problem is Juve will be more up for the game than Shakhtar will as it means means more for them. But just imagine had Juve beaten Norsejland (don't know they did not manage to with all respect), we would have been confirmed out and maybe that draw for them there could be a blessing in disguise for us. Had we just held out our lead against Juve, case would have been so much different. Well tbh based on performances anyway, we deserve to go out and if Shakhtar and uve go through, deservedly so. Let's just pray Shakhtar do what they do best and win at home. They definitely can beat Juve, fingers crossed. That is one of the hardest games, you can have to ensure your tea goes through to the next round. People acting like as if they are playing Noorsejland, no they are playing Shakhtar and while many of you may point out that Shakhtar are already through so it may mean less to them, they definitely will want to top the group like I already said. They don't want to get to a situation where they finish second and face a possibility of playing Barca and last time that happened Barca battered them 5-0. Barca are a team nearly everyone will want to avoid, so Shakhtar will be desperate to finish top. Out of our hands but all to play for!

You lot were fully deserved of your win. Think it would have been different had Hazard scored but over the 90 mins you fully deserved it, your midfield and use of the wingbacks were excellent and controlled the game. Admittedly accept you were the better team on the night. Still think it is easily possible that you lose to Shakhtar but yes you summed it up quite well, if you pass you will deserve it, if we pass we will deserve it. The post you were referring to was probably made in anger.
-
Are you serious? Torres doesnt do half the shit Hazard done.. Hazard created much more, got past players, got involved and looked likely to score. Torres is ivnisble most the time he plays for us, hence why he has been benched.
-
I actually think Hazard has done very well in the striker position
-
I think you will find out that most people on these forums will agree with you
-
I think it might turn out to be a wise move. He definitely has been chosen by RDM to play there to track down the bursting runs of Asamoah.
-
Thanks god Torres is dropped for once. So there was some truth in Cesar starting at RW after all. Happy to see Hazard up front anyway, sure he will put in a better shift than Torres
