Will any youngsters make it at Chelsea anymore?
Stats replied to duo11bluecl's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Piazon is not ready for the first team yet. He is doing well on loan but he is playing in a much inferior league and Lukaku is ahead of him right now in overall ability. Lukaku has more chance of making it next season than Piazon as he is playing regularly in the PL and has the physical tools needed for us imo. -
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/9138312/ Fully agree with this article and the one ja1 posted above. It is a shame that he has not managed to be a success in any of his loans. He was the best player I have seen for a while in your Youth cup team and completely ripped apart that tournament. I actually thought at the time that he could be definitely one player who would ake it big here. Never seen a player as talented as him while playing for our youth team. Doubt it will be at us but hope he can kickstart his career at another club because he still has a lot of time to make a mark. I still remember when he made his debut for us against Wolves and pulled of some nice skills in the match. That was at the age of 18 and for players to make their mark on the academy and then play for the first team at the age of 18 you would only expect things to go better. Sad that it has not turned out that way tbh

There is no evidence to say a PL team actually wanted him though.

Set to join Wigan on loan for the rest of the season.

It is quite high but I can understand why they are willing to pay that much. They need someone to inspire them now and he is got loads of years ahead of him and will bring quality. Similar with Arsenal buying Ozil. £42m is very high and while he has not been brilliant he has helped the team in their quest for a title challenge and they remain first. United need a player like Mata who can inspire them to get into top 4 and in the long run I don't think the fee will matter because he will bring too much quality to them.

While I agree he was poor tonight, what does performances like the one against United, Liverpool, Newcastle suggest then. Remy had been off par before the West Ham game. That does not mean those 2 games or so should mean Newcastle should decide not to buy him permanently does it. He is bound to have off games like all strikers have. But to his performance tonight, did not look bothered. Even though he won the assist for the goal, when Mirallas scored he just walked of and showed no emotion which is unlike him. Hopefully he has got something in store awaiting Liverpool.

I admit I liked the avatar a lot. Saw someone make a post which must have been you and thought lemme take that

Well, signed a new contract and certainly showing he is deserving of that tonight. Scored a brace in the U21 game against Wolves and we won 2-1. Had been on a goalscoring drought so nice way to hit of again on the day he signed his new contract

I would agree with this if it is an option. He not even in the first team frame at Anfield and even when they were chasing the winner against Villa despite having 2 subs available, BR chose not to bring him on which surprises me. He obviously has not done enough to impress and he is not gaining any minutes there and is in the same situation he would of found himself here at Liverpool. Needs to go a team where he is going to play.

Thought he had an excellent game. Every game he has played at LB he has not looked out of place at all and imo we look more assured defensively. Did not give Valencia a sniff today and once again Jose's decision to play him at LB has worked excellently in the end.Really like how well he is able to fit in at LB or RB.

Would like to see Mata come on. Feels like ages since I seen him put on a blues shirt. Add insult to injury.
-
Always rated him. Think he deserved more opportunities here but at least he will be getting 90 mins at Villa and hopefully can prove a point to Mourinho. Starts for Villa in the evening game against Liverpool. Quite a tough task he has ahead of him tough. Good luck Ryan!

http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11096/9116886/matic-lowdown Never realised until now that he completed that many passes and also made the most tackles in our match against them last season. Impressive

Alright, that is fine then. But as I mentioned there are many posts you make which I have felt made no sense and therefore I have quoted before of you and stated you need evidence to back it up etc and you have had no response. For example the ones you made in the Lukaku thread. But sorry if you have felt I offended you mate. I find you funny etc but some of your posts I find weird and confusing sometimes, that is all and like I have said I have asked u a number of times to explain your posts and you never end up doing it. I don't think his playing time will be reduced "significantly" but do I reckon he will be rested from time to time tbh. I think the favoured partnership will be Matic and Ramires but I still can see Lampard playing a lot of games and despite many of us not approving of it I can see Ramires still playing on the RW sometimes with Matic and Lamps in the middle. Rotation and mix up will be an important theme I reckon with Mourinho.

First. I don't need you telling me what to do. Not to sound rude but I will post what I like unless a mod differs thank you as I just admitted the truth from what I recognize from a lot of his posts and many other people seem to notice too as I was referring to his post and did not actually call him a name. Secondly I don't take too kindly, him talking about a legend at the club like that. Maybe he could speak about Lampard in a better way maybe.... I think that is what offended me the most Maybe I could have worded it nicer but as explained above that is why I wrote it like that. But on the Matic partnership issue I reckon while Matic and Ramires will work out, Matic and Lamps would be decent as we have a player in Matic who can dictate possession from deep and allow players like Lampard to do what he does best in going forward. I certainly don't think the signing of Matic means Lampard's playing time will be reduced dramatically tbh.

Sometimes you really do chat the most amount of shit on this forum!

He failed to make an impact? Majority of the time he was played out of position and got into double figures. Most times I remember he was not given the chance to play up front and played on the right wing and scored a lot. He performed, proved his worth but was not given the chance to play where he wanted to because we stuck with Torres up front. The point you make about hindsight is not true because many people would have guaranteed we were going to regret selling him to Liverpool before he even started scoring for them.
-
Will not happen because Ancelotti already said that he chose to let Ozil go instead of Di Maria because Di Maria offers pace and more directness. Mata's playing style is similar to Ozil's so it would not make sense for him to make that move. Those rumours are rubbish. Probably no truth in it.

He will work hard yes but I would rather hear Huddlestone will keep an eye on Oscar thank you
-
Liverpool fans have not been impressed with him at all during his loan stint. Apart from the first two games or so, he has done really poor and their fans say his attitude and performance levels have been poor and want him sent back to us. He got subbed of just after 46 mins today because of how poor he was playing apparently and I would probably agree with them considering that even with the likes of Sturridge, Gerrard being injured he cannot find a way into the first team and has lost his place to Sterling so far and when Sturridge comes back and if they do get Salah he will probably be even more marginalised. Thought it was harsh when we initially loaned out Moses now but thinking about it now I am much more content with the additions of Willian and Schurrle than having the likes of Moses in my team. Would of like to say the same about KDB but a shame it has not worked out for him.
-
No he doesnt. Team v Derby: Schwarzer; Azpilicueta, Cahill, D Luiz, Cole; Essien ©, Mikel; Ramires, Oscar, Willian; Eto’o. #CFC
-
He won't join us anyway. Most likely will join Liverpool eventually.
-
They aren't going to swap one of the best strikers in Europe who still, despite not always playing in his natural position has got into double figures already and certainly will not be doing no swap deal for arguably the best CB in Europe. Get real Don't see why so many people pay any attention to these silly rumours. No truth in it at all.
-
Like I said, he is not lazy. Far from it and all his hard work for Everton is why he needs a rest at some point. He is no way a poacher who simply stays in the box. He works hard and with Martinez playing style, he has everyone pressing which includes the striker working back. Also I hope for that point you have never ever suggested us getting Falcao then. If he was here and scoring more than our strikers we would be top. That is the difference.
-
He always works his socks off. When Everton beat United at OT he worked his socks off running back and forward while ripping Vidic and his other partner to shreds. Another conclusion you seem to keep jumping to. Same way you said this stuff about Aguero scoring more than him at his age... bla bla bla... you were tested on it and you could not reply because you know your statement was pure rubbish. Most importantly he gets goals and you said "he could improve". Of course he is going to improve. He is 20 and one of the highest scorers in the prem despite missing a few games for Everton at the start. And oh yeah, while it is good for strikers to work hard, I would much rather have a striker known for scoring goals!
