  1. Would not be surprised to see them go after Lukaku on a loan basis, similar to what Inter did. PSG too. Messi and Benzema gone so both teams will be looking for a striker and maybe might look at cheaper methods. Real may well go after Mbappe again in a year's time so wouldn't surprise me to see them go after Lukaku on loan. Might sound crazy but might be more viable for them than getting Kane who is more expensive and 30 this summer.
  2. Don't speak too soon. They have to beat Augsburg first. No Bellingham also. Last time they had the chance to end the weekend on top, they blew it against Bochum couple weeks ago or so. Hope they do win though. Would be great for football if they win the league.
  3. Parker started the season at Bournemouth, but yeah O'Neill took over them after the 5th game. Also, especially as Parker accused the team of not being "well equipped" for the PL, O'Neill did a very good job. Parker will obviously point out that O'Neill was backed more in the market for January than he was for the summer transfer window, but even before the January transfers, O'Neill had them outside the relegation zone and picked up some really good results.
  4. Even though it is highly unlikely we get anything from this game, it is good to know in an unlikely event we were to pull something off, that City would remain top anyway. My biggest fear was after Arsenal beat Newcastle, City may drop points to Everton, then Arsenal would beat Brighton and Forest and we would take points off City. Thankfully my wish came through.
  5. He was sensational. His passing was on another level. Was the reason for the first Brighton goal too.
  6. Thought Sterling was brilliant today. Not just the goals, but he was a havoc all game and was the best player on the pitch. I hope Poch can help him bring his City form back to us next season. Don't know if much people agree but I thought Badiashile was solid throughout the game. Not sure who was at fault for the second goal but his game was very composed, made very good interceptions. Out of today, Sterling, Badiashile and Chalobah can have their heads held high. Madueke showed promise, but just lacked that end product. 4 points from 2 games. Guess you have to take that 😄
  7. The 5ft 8 listings are false. He is over 6ft tall. Brentford had a free kick against Liverpool on Saturday and when Brentford were discussing their free kick routine, he comfortably towered over most of their players in the discussion and they were in close distance of each other. Also he had an interview with Ben Mee after they beat City at Etihad this season and he was slightly taller and Ben Mee is around 6ft.
  8. Odegaard is such a brilliant player. IMO, best playmaker in the league after KDB and one of the best players in the league. I remember when Real sold him to Arsenal and I was damn gutted because I saw a damn good player and thought for the fee Arsenal bought him for was a bargain. 15 league goals and that was what he used to be criticized for. Honestly envious that Arsenal got him. Brilliant player. He doesn't have much weaknesses.
  9. The odds for Arsenal to beat us is shockingly low. Seems the bookies think this is a four gone conclusion… any more motivation needed on top of that this is a London derby and winning this virtually ends their title chances.
  10. You would like to think but I also said the same thing against Spurs. I would love to dent their title chances but it's sad to say I don't see us standing a chance.
  11. Nothing will come off that and rightly so. Kompany didn't do anything wrong. Ridiculous that this is even being looked into. They are registered squad players so no case to answer.
  12. Even if that did happen, the emotion won't be the same. There fans wouldn't be able to brag the same. Our season has been shocking and couldn't come to an end sooner enough but if we managed to go to the Emirates and get something there and help City take the title, that will be satisfying enough.
  13. He joined Preston beginning of last season and just his luck, he done his Achilles in pre-season and never featured for the club at all. I am not surprised he retired as I was thinking this may come. He last kicked a ball in a competitive game over 2 years ago, possibly longer so he would of found it really hard to get going again at a good level. Must have taken a huge mental toll on him though, seeing the fame he had and what he was tipped to be become by former coaches (Mourinho) and seeing his fellow players he won the Youth Cup with make big careers in the top leagues. People will say he wasted his career coming here and in terms of lack of football games, he did, however he is also an example of why players look for a lot of money because one injury can change your whole life/career. If he stayed on at WBA for example and got similar injuries, he would not be no way near financially comfortable.
  14. If we go 3-5-2 after 80 mins, I understand. But to withdraw all width you have after 60 mins is poor management. We destroyed any chance of hitting them on the counter. Cowardly move. Explains why we struggle to score goals. We were never going to get top 4 but things would have looked a lot more positive if we won today. Just brought back to earth now...
  15. This is all on Potter. Doesn't learn. Still does the same stupid subs like he did against Leeds, where only fortune saved us. It was a poor performance. That is what happens when you play too defensive. 3-5-2 tactic is just too negative and not a formation we should be playing against a team in the blood relegation. Mudryk was unleashed last week. His reward today, put on the bench and not even come on. Absolutely bizarre tactics. Boring football once again. We should be making lightwork of this team. It proves to me that the last three wins was just a mere false hope. Pathetic.
  16. Such a defensive move. Bringing on Gallagher for Pulisic. We need to hit them on counter with pace. Potter subs are really frustrating. Perfect game for Mudryk to come into.
  17. A damn shame he is out today against Arsenal off all teams. He would have caused them massive problems.
  18. I thought Wilson was top class at Derby. I personally also thought he was their best player too, offensively wise. He was unlucky in the sense that he was going back to a Liverpool team that had many top players in midfield and attack, so despite getting over 15 goals for Derby, Liverpool loaned him to Bournemouth. But yeah, I thought he was that good that Liverpool were going to utilize him. Mount had advantage of being in a team who was unable to buy players so he was awarded a lot of game time and took his chance. That is why I do like the idea of Boehly not going to high on wages and doing incentive based bonuses. Saka is about to sign a new contract worth around £200k p/w who imo is best winger in the league. Could command more, however they have a wage structure there. That being said, as some have said, I think there is more than just simply money with Mount. There is the length issue. He may also himself question his longevity in the team and where he fits in.
  19. For me, he has to play as we need to be quick on the atatck and need fast attackers to attack their fullbacks who like to get forward. I would prefer him playing on the left as well rather than the right. We don't play to his strengths at all when he is on the right. He will defo be starting anyway: https://www.chelseafc.com/en/news/article/potter-keen-to-unleash-sterling-on-dortmund
  20. Yep, my patience has worn thin now. I had offered my support for him to remain in charge to gain some sustainability, however after today, this is just the final nail in the coffin. Enough is enough. Same old. Nice passages of play an link ups but no clear created chances. Aubameyang is not necessarily going to be a miracle to our prayers, but I struggle to see why he has been so ostracized from the team when our attackers have done dog sh*t. In the past few weeks, he only changed up the forward line once against Southampton and then took Fofana off at H/T despite him offering a lot more than other players that game. Decisions don't make sense. We have not looked this dysfunctional for a long, long while. I have actually forgotten what it is like to win. But no excuse for another poor showing. Two sloppy goals too. I don't see how he survives this now and I don't see what excuse can be made for Potter now. Same old crap.
  21. Sterling is 10x better on the left than the right. Bar the goal, he looks really dangerous.
  22. Sterling was always going to start. He was our best player in the second half against Southampton when he came on. No surprise. Koulibaly is a strange one. You can only think that Potter wants to build a rapport between him and Silva by time of our crucial second leg against Dortmund.
  23. He was fantastic. Dominated the middle of the park. Doesn't surprise me. I always have said that I think part of the reasons our wingers struggle here is because of the narrow size of the pitch. Not enough room to stretch the opposition. Martinelli and Saka for example have so much width on the pitch to attack their opposition.
