  1. When I saw him play the 90 mins, I knew he must have cooked yesterday. Espec as they were 2-0 down and he was left on, he obviously impressed. He has played his way into the team now.
  2. I didn't even realise during the game that Jackson picked up a yellow. Only until I checked my FPL points I realised he was booked. This guy is really clumsy. I love his footballing ability, even though he needs to find his shooting boots, but already at this stage, he is facing one yellow from a match ban. Asides that, not going to make too much judgement until we get 3/4 of the squad fit. Many game changers who could have changed the game unavailable. But hard to be optimistic right now. Hopefully things change.
  3. He isn't proven but he has shown glimpses of what he can do. He was very good against Arsenal when he came on and looked a menace and scored a top goal. Also had a good game against Sevilla too.
  4. Bar Chilwell and Palmer, that bench is so bad. I get we have injuries, but that just looks worryingly bad.
  5. I am genuinely shocked how frugal they have been in the market. Yes, they splashsed money on Bellingham but lost Hazard, Benzema, Asensio and Mariano. A lot of wages freed up too. Bar Bellngham, the only other attacker they added was Guler who is currently injured and as you mentioned bringing back Diaz. Ancelloti keeps coming out and saying they have good cover and he trusts his options, but I am pretty sure this is the board being frugal as they are telling him they are preparing to put the money into Mbappe. Whether that is huge wages and other bonuses if he joins on free or whether that is having to buy him incase he is coerced into contract at PSG. They were miles of it in the league last season and you would think they would show more intent to regain the title.
  6. I love the training wear for the third kit too. Will be nabbing the green and black training tee for sure.
  7. He was very good for them a couple seasons in what was his real breakout season. He got to 10 league goals for Arsenal which was really impressive. He has a knack of scoring against us too. The real issue with him though is that it is not clear what his best position is. Before he lost his place in the Arsenal team, he played out LW but would regularly drift inside. This season I think Arteta was/is planning to use him in that Havertz position he has been playing for them. Similar to Mount, I would say he is a jack of all trades but master of none. Quite a good dribbler, good balance, good at one-twos, decent passer but doesn't excel at any hence why I guess there is still air of confusion about his best position. He is a good player but not sure how effective he is since his injury issues. Odegaard and Smith-Rowe played together. It was Martinelli who ESR lost his place to. However with Havertz being signed, effectively makes ESR redundant as he was being touted for that role from what I have heard Arsenal fans say.
  8. Fulham did brilliant. At 2-1 down, were down to 10 and managed to equalize with a man less. Also nearly stole it themselves. Arsenal got so many 90 min+ winners last season, I failed to get excited when Fulham equalized but not can smile. Arteta has tried to be like Pep and tried too many tweaks. Putting Partey at RB and CB at LB or RB playing LB and not playing players in natural positions. They have not looked that impressive and have just about snuck wins in their first 3 games. I am sure the fans will be livid with Arteta. Seems he is trying to shoeorn too many big names in but doesn't look like it is working. Interesting to see what he does against United next week now.
  9. Happy with Sterling and score although should be more but not happy with system. Looks slightly negative. We don't need 3 at the back. Sometimes Sterling and Jackson look like a 2 man attack when they could do with another winger up there. Hopefully a second comes early before the nerves kick in.
  10. Gabri Veiga now off to Saudi also. Wow. I guess that is the biggest young talent they have nabbed.
  11. He can play out wide but for Forest he is primarily a CW who drifts out wide. But either way, it is another transfer link that is just bizarre. He isn't prolific, teams set up against Forest in a much different way than we do. Just doesn't add up. He is explosively fast but like I mentioned against teams that set up deep against us, he will not really be effective.
  12. Mudryk hasn't played a minute yet 😁
  13. Going to shiver everytime that West Ham have a set piece situation. Especially now they have JWP to deliver them in or actually shoot in direct free-kicks.
  14. He started shakily first half. Second half, he greatly improved. No denial about that.
  15. Accurate. His dad is from the North-East. In fact, their whole family are big Newcastle fans, stemming from the grandfather. Playing for our academy has a lot of benefits, compared to joining Newcastle's academy. Much better facilities and development plan. But yeah, his brothers, father and grandfather are all Geordies.
  16. Anyone who understands the FFP more than I do want to put me at ease with this. I would like to think the club know what they are doing.
  17. I will be fuming if Caicedo ends up at Liverpool. This should never have got to this stage. Would be more embarrassing than the Mudryk saga. Arsenal did not need him. We need Caicedo after letting so many CM go. Should never have got to this stage. Embarrassing. I will be fuming with this, especially considering his age also.
  18. With Arsenal's additions this summer, definitely feel City need to get another attacker. Defence they are fine but wide players and attackers, you feel they need 1 or 2 to sustain their dominance.
  19. He is short, but as explained, he is very good with his domination of the box. I don't recall a lot of games where he was easily beaten in the air by a cross unlike Kepa. He was brilliant last season.
  20. Mentioned this before, but really surprised we are not going for Raya. He is not the biggest bit has excellent commandment of his box and is technically brilliant. His stats last season were brilliant. Wonder what it is the club don't see in him. I wonder if this is a late move we may make.
  21. Humphreys has very similar Colwill vibes about him. Very composed.
  22. Bassey going isn't bad business for Ajax. Unlike a lot of them who leave for big fees, they recuperated the same fee they bought him for and he lost his place in the team to a 17 year old (Hato). He did not suit their style of play and was severely criticized by Ajax fans and past legends last season. His technical ability in particular was scrutinized.
  23. Very impressed. Would of like to seen a bit more from Nkunku. Jackson so impressive and explosive. Gordon has looked their biggest threat so far. He has looked good. But happy with what I have seen so far.
  24. He was at the worst team in the league and played in a defensive team. He went to Palace the following season and played in a 4-3-3 and played his best football. He got their POTS for a reason. Mudryk came and was poor. Most of the players were piss poor and that is why I say he deserves a chance before being written off.
