  1. Are you serious? Who said he will be at Everton at the age of 26???
  2. Villa have conceded 8 goals in their last 3 away games. Just why the fuck would we curtail the way we can exploit their leaky defence by playing a CB at RB and playing Azpi at LB. No reason Baba can not start this game. We are the fucking champions, not fucking WBA. That is a team who I expect to see having CB at RB. Not us. Just what have we come to if we are seriously considering playing Zouma at RB and Azpi at LB. Just don't Mourinho please. So miss the days we actually had natural attacking FB.
  3. Did he say he wants to stay at Everton for the rest of his career? Stop being so oblivious. He clearly wants to play for a top team and has said so. The move will come. Right now, he is at the perfect place, playing football, scoring goals and that is fine for a 22 year old striker who has got the world at his feet.
  4. But Mourinho said both Lukaku and KDB did not want to compete. You just made your own interpretation and said it was because they did not see eye to eye.
  5. Because your point is that players who don't like to compete will not make it at top clubs. I have contradicted that view with players such as KDB. Lukaku is 2 years younger and I think with time, possible around when he reaches 24 too, he may be at a top club. Would not be surprised at all.
  6. We are going around in cirlces but the conclusion is that you cannot say a player being scared of competition means they will not make it at a big club when KDB proved otherwise. For the record I don't actually think they were scared of competition. I think they just know how Mourinho works. His lack of rotation says a lot.
  7. Tell me what made KDB different to Lukaku please? Come on. You are not making sense. KDB had competition and so did Lukaku. Maybe you should apply the same thing with Lukaku with KDB. Well you said he would walk to another NT if he knew he would be guaranteed a start. He would be at DR Congo. Fact is he believes he can be no.1 for Belgium.
  8. Ermm, Mourinho said this of KDB" "He was not ready to compete. He was an upset kid, training very bad". "He always said he had trained well in his life, but he needs motivation to train well by playing every game." And LOL, regarding Lukaku, if that was true maybe he would have chosen DR Congo but no he never and he knew the competition he had with Belgian strikers. 2 statements where you have been totally contradicted.
  9. Use your head. It is not rocket science is it? You said Lukaku will never make it at a big club because he is scared of competition. Mourinho said the same thing about KDB and that he wanted guaranteed first team football and accused him of "crying" etc, but even though he was supposedly 'scared of competition', he is now at City who are a big club and if Aguero and Silva stay fit, think they will win the league. So KDB according to Mourinho did not want to fight for his place yet he is at a big club now so it does disprove your point. KDB left us to go to a smaller club and has now got himself back at a club on our level and right now quite a lot better than us. Lukaku could easily follow the same route if he keeps on scoring goals. That is an inconclusive assumption you have come up with to suggest Lukaku will not make it at a big club because he is 'scared of competition'.
  10. Let me guess. You probably said the same about KDB when he left Chelsea because he did not want to handle competition. He is at City now for one of the biggest transfer fees. Clearly disproves your point.. As for your last point, I am going to leave it there because we keep going round in circles and we are just going to have to agree to disagree.
  11. How rich coming from you Yeah and tbh Costa at this rate may not even be no.1 striker for Spain. We thought he was their saviour but let's be honest, his goal return for them is poor and I would not be surprised to see him dropped because it is not working. People actually thought Origi was better than Luakku based on a little world cup cameo, LOL. Yeah, because he really spent a season here being our no.1 striker didn't he?
  12. A good striker adapts himself to a team. Yeah, they might not suit him but you can't really give that excuse when other strikers like Paco have been scoring for them when given a chance. To use yesterday's game to say Lukaku is not good with better teams is just ridiculous. Maybe I should say the same about Belgium then that their style of play don't suit Lukaku LOL. Lukaku has been on fire last season but there are a minority on here who will wait for him to have a poor game to crucify him but when he continues to prove people wrong like he will keep doing, the same old excuse of it is because he is at a club with lower expectations will come to the fore again.
  13. LOL, Costa has played for Spain against very average teams and has not managed to get on the scoresheet on several occasions. Is Costa therefore a player who will not perform on the international stage?? Also Lukaku is 22 and can be leading Belgium's line for years. Any coincidence that Costa did not get included for Spain? You probably will say the manager was annoyed at his antics against Arsenal but it can easily be looked at that he has not been in good form for his country.
  14. Yeah mate, he can play as a second striker. Not sure about as a striker but behind the striker he is effective.
  15. Another goal for Willian :blue scalf: Should get into double figures for club and country this season at this rate Great dummy from Oscar too.
  16. It was actually because of that performance why Martinez wanted him. Everton agreed a move with Kiev to sign him this summer but then Yarmolenko said he wanted to stay for his final year of contract. So whoever gets him has got a deal and a half.
  17. Prove them critics wrong Willian! Get in there!
  18. Luiz was only saved being dropped by the other managers because we had not got Matic and he use to cover in the DM role when it turned out he could do a good role there. If Matic was here when our previous managers where here Luiz would have been dropped quite a few times for sure. Terry was excellent in the league last season. He had a poor game against Spurs, WBA and his lack of pace was exposed against Southampton but apart from that he was formidable and was one of the best performing CB in Europe. Luiz has a lot of qualities like I said but he is not this great defensive god as you make him out to be. PSG would have won the league with him or without him last season however in Europe he let them down on the big stage. Jose has made a lot of mistakes with transfers etc but selling Luiz was not a bad error. Now at this moment you look at things and think you could do with him but season after he left, we won the league and had one of the best defensive records in the country if not the best IIRC.
  19. My point still stands. And those comments on Fabregas came during pre-season. I was not to know he was going to make such an awful start to the season and be exposed as poor defensively as he has done. Verratti is helped by the fact that he has players around him who are trained and comfortabel at keeping possession. We do not have that. And I am not sure why you have quoted so many of my posts. I stand by the same view. You put him in a CM role, I think he would do well. You play him in a 4-3-3 and have him as a CM he will excel. You have him as a no.10, then you are taking the best part of his game away from him and he would do a lot of running but like Fabregas they are going to struggle to influence games. Furthermore, the way we played Fabregas against Arsenal was a way we utilized his strengths well because we allowed him to control play. City for instance, we had him playing double pivot yet we did not have any clue or aim on how to keep possession so you are wasting Fabregas and exploting his weaknesses.
  20. He has had a good game though. Dictated play and has been impressive.
  21. What is your point? Lucio mentioned that most people look at goals and assists. I refuted that by saying the people who actually gave out the awards looked past that because if that was the case, Hazard would not have won the award....
  22. Because you said he would start for any team outside Chelsea. That is not true. A lot of teams would laugh at paying over Β£30m for him. Well Luiz as a defender was not better than the Terry in our team last season. If you like the style of playing with the ball then Luiz is your man. For those who don't want that, he is not ideal. You can not tell me Luiz was better than Terry last season. But, yeah I agree right now Luiz would have been an excellent option for us. Versatile too and his positives outweigh his negatives. But you only have to see the forums when Luiz was here of the people who thought he was a nightmare waiting to happen. Not me, as I liked him and like you I would rather have ball playing defenders in my team like him rather than a defender who does not have that much qualities on the ball.
  23. Well based on this season, not that well, especially against teams that press him. He is not as good as holding on to the ball as Verratti is and seems to be bullied of it more easily. It is because Verratti is a better defender as well and they have much better balance. In a 4-3-3 I think he would be quality. I don't mind him in the pivot for Saturday for instance because all they are going to do is sit back I assume but games where teams take it to us, with constant pressing he is a little more exposed.
  24. This. People who aren't a fan of Matic would argue that it is ludicrous to say he is a top DM or compare him to Busquets for example. Any DM in our team with Fabregas being exposed how he is would struggle. Matic is not our main problem. If we had Verratti or Modric in the double pivot, Matic would look a lot better but Fabregas is not suited to playing in the double pivot. He is suited to a 4-3-3. I see Fabregas as more of a liability than Matic in our team.
  25. Luiz made too much mistakes for us at CB but I always liked his style. But his style of play was more suited to Barca and I am sure they would have got him was it not for PSG coming in with that huge bid. I am a big fan of Luiz because I like ball playing defenders but seriously he made loads of errors at CB for us. He was just far too clumsy at times. For instance when we beat Cardiff 4-1, the error he made for their goal were not just one-off occasions. He had quite a few moments like that. Even before Moruinho came here, many people had ridiculed Luiz at CB. I think it was slightly OTT but like I was saying it is not as if he had not made a lot of mistakes, he had. When we actually played his team PSG, two seasons ago it was his 2 errors in the game that made us lose 3-1. Then there was his error for Brazil against Peru. A costly error and again where the clumsy part of his game comes into question. I know it was Barca but his style of play played into their hands last season and he got torn apart. He was so naive in his defending and cost them. His rash way of pressing and intercepting got picked off by Barca easy. Just look at Suarez goal. Too many mistakes he had made. Luiz is one of them players who when he is at it can look the best defender around. His performance against Bayern for instance was excellent but when he is bad he is bad and sometimes you could not help but think despite his qualities he would do something stupid. We got a huge bid for a player who while has a lot of qualities, also is very error prone and we had Terry and Cahill who at the time were a perfect partnership. Maybe we should have bought another top CB to replace him which we did not. Let's not also make it look like it is only a Chelsea way of thinking to get rid of Luiz and something only we would do. You do realise a lot of people outside Chelsea and even Brazilian fans mock him for being a CB and I have seen so many criticisms of him. Saying that I saw some Brazilians claiming "they actually had a defence" now that he was out against Chile but Marquinhos was poor as his replacement too apparently. Many fans around the world were shocked when he was included in the FIFApro team of the year thing as well but I am with you. I would have him in my team because I think while he is clumsy his positive outweigh his negatives and he has pretty much everything when he is at the top of his game but with the fee we were offered it was some ways a no-brainer. But right now would I have him, of course. Always been a big fan.
