Forgetting HG rules, squad harmony and the £110 million total transfer spend this summer. Fuck FFP it obviously doesn't apply to us.
-
No one said he was great, you said he was over hyped, subtle difference, it's upto you to prove your point. Ps - your 19, go figure your posts and ability to communicate defy your tender age.

"Cavani is a proven peno taker. which is worth having him on the field alone." Jog on sunshine...
-
Olympics!!! I give up, no point discussing this with someone who would play a player purely because they can take a good penalty. 8 in 12 for Bolton as a CF and 11 in 30 from the wing... seems to me that he knows how to fun the back of the net. Certainly better than Drogbas 5 in 26.
-
Chunky or skinny fries?
-
Yeah 12 games 8 goals for Bolton... fucking bunch him with stats like that for a bottom half of the table team.
-
So we should buy someone and play him because on the odd occasion that we get a pen and Lampard isn't on the pitch he can take it? And did you see that delightful chip during he euros? Or last years stats off 30 games 11 goals for a winger? Clearly trolling.
-
Pfff... lol Sturridge isn't hyped up, nobody is saying he is the next big thing, destined for the stars. He did however have a good start to last season. He is also very fast and capable of beating his marker (whomever they maybe) and is an extremely competent finisher. Most of these observations were based on having watched him for the whole of last year. But hey you carry on don't let me stop your rant.
-
Don't disagree I think we need someone more dynamic in CM ala Essien of 3-4 years ago. I just hate watching Meireles, not sure what his pass completion is but I bet it's poor compared to the rest of he squad. And as a CM you should be recycling possession from defence to attack. He does offer more mobility, but then so does the young spaniard. But for some reason RDM doesn't seem to like him. Yeah Lukaka was pissed.... I don't blame him, he wants to play because he loves the game, very mature for his age. Think he is going to excel at WBA... This another reason why I don't want a third striker, he could step up and make the spot his own next year.
-
100% agree, people want to spend £110 million on new players. No concept of squad harmony, I mean these are real people, not a fantasy football team. I mean why not buy Messi, Neymar, Iniestaband Xavi and be done with it.
-
Maybe, we have Mikel, Lampard, Romolu, Essien and possible Oscar... personally feel Meireles is crud, poor in possession, gives away free kicks just not upto standard. Its actually the one area i believe we could do with improving. Oh and I agree, I'd have thought Lukaka would have played this year, but he became very disillusioned last season, to the point where he was relieved to be leaving the team he supported as a child. He wants to improve and to do so he feels he need first team football(I really respect this kid and his attitude).
-
Spain's number one striker in the euros along with a full England international? With a full Nigerian international in contingency? Err yes, yes I do....
-
Using that logic we should have another left back, center half, RB etcetra... If good forbid we have both strikers out Moses could back fill. Sure we could recall Lukaka and there is always the Janurrary transfer window.
-
They play two up front, we play one up front.... Kalou, Anelka, Sturridge and Lukaka started maybe 6 games combined as CF. Reality is we had two CF.... Three players for one spot is ridiculous IMO.
-
So your wanting to spend £110 million in a transfer window with FFP coming into effect? Guess I'm on my own in thinking we have been spoilt this transfer window. I'm more than happy with the squad just need to sell / off load: Benayoun, Malouda, Ferriera, Kakuta, Meireles
-
Out of that bunch how many actually played as a CF?
-
Sign him and it's goodbye Torres, Sturridge and possible Lukaka... Along with squad harmony. We have already spent £75 million, how would you achieve FFP? What happens to the 25 man squad restriction and the HG rules? Forget the CL and PL, we are not winning either, what we are doing is building a fantastic base for the next decade. (IMO)
-
Three strikers for one spot?
-
I'd like a DM, Martinez?
-
Cavani at 35-40 million is not a back up striker.
-
Waya man... 1 - No I'm not concerned, as a team we needed to change our style of play and that was never going to happen whilst he remained at the club. His form has been declining (look at his PL goal return) and bar the European games last year he was poor. I believe Sturridge is more than capable of covering, we only play one up front so we don't need three strikers in the squad. 2 - No, chances are we are going to play 50-60 games this year. Players shall be rotated with each getting more than enough playing time. Believe the only guaranteed starters within those three are Mara and Hazard. 3 - I'd take your CM pairing, offer both creativity, and defensive cover with a good engine. I like Ben Arfa and your front two but I don't think they would start for us. 4 - We wee always buying a RB, deal was struck today but we have been aware of the negotiation all summer. We have three world class center halves and Ivanovic can tuck in there if needed, so we never required replacements. One area where would could have improved is in the DM position. 5 - Ben Arfa, as he can turn a game. Your midfield is actually very good and your strikers offer up the unpredictable... Your a good team, definitely a top 6 finish for you guys this year. 6 - we are a team in transition. Our squad is now incredible young, so I see the season ahead as a learning curve. If you look at our squad compared to City one things stands out... we have built for the future they have a squad for the now. Which is sensible given FFP coming into effect this year. I'm very excited about what this group of players can do over the next decade. I'd be happy with top 4, maybe a cup final and knock out in CL.
-
£6.5 million is a bargain... ?
-
Agreed, he isn't a nine year old chasing the ball!! Also noticed that half the goals scored just so happened to have bounced into his general direction of someones arse. Obviously Torres needs to work on his bouncing of a defenders arse positioning. Something I felt would improve his game for a long time.
-
1 - cost 2 - FFP 3 - Where would he play 4 - need to strengthen other areas 5 - Agent 007 says he is signing Just a few reasons why I believe he won't be signing for us, sort out the RB and we are good to go.

Can't see Jesus performing away to Stoke on a wet Tuesday night, guy gives up to easy, not enough fight.... Moses on the other hand want afraid to get his hands dirty, also lead by example. Judas? Well not exactly a team player....
