I was already exposed to football since a very young age. My dad and grandfather loves football, but back then we didnt have much access to the English league but rather the serie A. The first player that caught my attention was the man with the same name as me: Gabriel Batistuta. Remembered watching him with Roma when i was 8. His plays captivated me since the very first minute. Another player that i absolutely loved from the seria A was a chelsea flop Andriy Shevchenko I loved everything about him, i would play PES and use AC Milan 100% of the time and just do a one man sheva show. He is still one of my favorite player even though he failed at Chelsea(Could imagine my excitement when he came). Then I started to watch the Premier league in 2001. David Beckham was so big at that time back home, and i was also a fan. I bought this shirt with his name on the back. Which was my second football shirt(first was a random lazio jersey we bought in Italy) And of course the reason why i support Chelsea right now. Is because of this goal Ive been supporting Chelsea ever since, I was thinking of who to support at the time, i liked Beckham so much i thought i was gonna support man utd, i got an arsenal shirt as a gift as well(the one with the shinny sweaty chest) and i liked henry, so this goal sealed the deal for me, made me forget about the utds, the arsenals, the milans. As a 10 year old boy, this goal was one of the most beautiful things that my little eyes(no small eye jokes please!) saw.. Honestly i have to thank my dad for this, because he and my grandpa was a chelsea fan and he changed the channel to this chelsea game instead of the utd game i wanted to watch. Was devastated when he left, luckily Frank was there! And now 11 years later, i love this club more than ever.

Was there for a few years. What part of Indonesia are you from?
-
Hi, apa kabar?
-
What kind of a striker is he?
-
Agreed, ive been to other forums. And i have to say i enjoy it the most in this one. Alot of great member who can trully debate maturely and put in some of their knowledge, of course there are still some of those im right youre wrong 'nanana' kind of people who are just to confident of their opinion without an open mind. But the good outweighs the bad. Great staff too.

Agree with his 100% chelsea were never reliant on strikers, never was since our title winning season, and still havent been recently. Of course its nice to have a striker that can finish those chances that torres and ba misses. I think Lukaku might surprise some people, and if we fix our midfield problem which gets totally run over by teams with a strong midfield, we will start winning. Drogba was the perfect striker really, he never really scored that much goals other than 2009-2010. But his hold up play and link up play is brilliant for players like lampard, essien, ballack, etc.

Ive seen that in him as well, but we also have KDB. And it might be too much to have these many central minded players, i think its a luxury signing. But its ridiculous to say we dont want one of the best talent. If he can play on the right wing, and oscar can move to centre midfield even then we still have KDB who could actually rotate with any one of Hazard/Mata/Oscar/Isco. The argument here is should we get a proper winger instead??? Which i dont think someone like schurrle is.
-
Feel really bad for Dortmund. Why does he persist to go bayern? If the reports are true
-
Yeah you are absolutely right. Alot of people see that KDB can be a good winger, he has great crossing ability. But he is also probably prefer playing centrally, having 4 players who prefers a central role would probably be too much. I really do hope we keep him though.
-
Thats true, i think hes more versatile than oscar though, meaning he would probably do a good job on the wings. Although i dont know how he is with tracking back. Thats kinda what i meant, give him the role oscar has now and when we rest mata, move him to the middle. This is all if oscar gets moved to the middle. But I really dont know so much about Isco so i might be wrong about him.
-
One of the most exciting players that ive seen recently apart from Gotze and Hazard. Wouldnt say no for him to come. Can rotate with Mata.
-
BAHAHA was gonna say that. Anyway, saw this article about Torres still worth 50m... http://www.givemefootball.com/346521-why-fernando-torres-is-worth-more-than-50m I dont know about this givemefootball.com

Thats your job bro!!!!!!! youre the news reporter!
-
!!!!!!!!!!!!!????????
-
Didnt know he would cost 25m, i thought he would cost less. Eeek then no, i have to agree with you. 25m is way too much for this type of player, knowing that lewa might go at a similar price
-
The main reason hes not reliable, he mentions he loves cricket. Ewww
-
Thats pretty racist man. Sadly theres alot of these kind of people, ive been called racist names too here in New Zealand. So really shame on you. I thought Canadian was super nice. Besides curry is DELICIOUS! butter chicken, dang tasty.

This thread just turned ugly

It seems likely, although not 100% that we will miss out on cavani, lewandowski, and falcao. Is gomez really that bad of a choice?? Yeah compared to those 3 he seems a horrible choice, his build up play is not as good. But he scores goals, not beautiful ones but he does score. Isnt that what we need, to finish those easy tap ins against smaller teams where we constantly drop points?? Im not a fan of his but i dont think its as bad as some people make it to be.
-
He was never meant to be our top striker, merely a stop gap. Next season he will be rotational striker for sure. He hasnt impressed me so much, only in FA cup matches where he scored two amazing goals against the mancs. I think some people here are way to quick to judge, wanting him sold and all that. Not playing regularly could have an effect on players, I think he is a good second/third choice.
-
Everybody loves Oscar, who doesnt?
-
probably none

I think Fiorentina would rather sell abroad than to their biggest rival. Roberto Baggio 2.0??? (wasnt actually alive yet at that point)
