  1. This may sound obvious, but this has JUST hit me - WE.ARE.THE.CHAMPIONS.OF.EUROPE. Barring a few loyal Germans and most of the Barcelona/Real Madrid/Manchester City/Manchester United squads, we can pretty much sign anyone we want..
  2. lol this is just brilliant. Every time I refresh the official Chelsea Facebook page, we gain around 5 new 'likes'/fans. Looks like we'll be getting an even bigger fan base for next season! I'm looking forward to it! http://www.facebook.com/ChelseaFC
  3. Not world class, but for the price he'd be (probably around £5mil) he'd be a great squad player. I would however rather just keep Romeu and give him more game time instead now that I think about it.
  4. PERFECT! I shall be chanting that during every game of ours from now on.
  5. I would absolutely LOVE it if we signed this man! He's just like Cahill - Looks decent in a decent team, but would be superb in a Champions League WINNING team. Definitely not an Essien replacement, as he's more box-to-box, but he'd certainly be reminiscent of Makelele in a few ways which would be great. I hope we get him. I really, really do.
  6. I'm making myself chuckle, so I consider it a success.
  7. Excuse me, wut? You think I'm trying to get rep? Is THAT how your mentality works!? Oh yes, plz gimme your rep as it'll enhance ma lyf so much xoxoxox
  8. Let's release Lampard, Terry and Cech. Not technical enough for my liking. Infact, let's replace Cech with Ronaldinho.
  9. You talk about Financial Fair Play and want Hazard, Tiote, Cabaye etc? GENIUS!
  10. I think we should sell Mata. He's not versatile and can't play centre back.
  11. If we do actually get the star, then I assume that it will be on every single one of our kits...FOREVER! *DUN DUN DUNNNNNN*
  12. Ok, time to do some schooling. A squad isn't made up of 20+ world class players. A top European squad should have 11ish top class players, with great and versatile squad players who can come on as a sub, and if necessary, be used in any system. Ramires can play right wing, attacking midfield, left wing, right back, central midfield and defensive midfield all to a high standard. Name one other player in the league who you know of who can do all of that. He's also fantastic for morale as he is always smiling. He hasn't complained a single time during his here, has never given nothing but his ALL for the team, and has pace which can match Lennon or Walcock. As for Mikel, he's been our best midfielder this season, Mata aside. Ask anyone with half a brain on this forum. You're then talking about getting two Newcastle United players, one of which literally just joined the club, and are in Europe next season with a fantastic manager. To top off your ignorance, you use "pace" in the same sentence as Marin and De Bruyne. If you had scouted them properly and not just seen a few clips with the odd game thrown in, you'd know that they have awful pace, and therefore rely on their outstanding dribbling skills to get past their opponents. Kakuta will not be having an impact at this club. That's just clear.
  13. lol, he wants Ramires out. No words.
  14. aww Mata's bit made me cringe with the "Where is the trophy!?" lol. He's so cute, in a strange footballing way.
  15. TRANSFER NEWS: Arsenal and us are interested in Birmingham City U18 player Foday Nabay. Nabay is a 14-year-old right winger, playing U18 football. Played for England U16's at 12/13. His fave player is Daniel Sturridge.
  16. Oh yeah, looks like you're right!! Ugh I'm so excited.
  17. Would anyone be interested in starting an online petition for all Chelsea fans (who'd like this) to get involved with and sign, that we get a star on our kit for next season, or if that's too soon, at least the season after? When I look at Bayern's kit, Juventus' kit, A.C. Milan's kit, I get JEALOUS. The amount of prestige that an EARNED star (unlike Manchester City's 'fashion' stars) is HUGE, and would definitely help attract new fans and players as odd as it may sound. So yeah, if anyone is interested in a petition (I doubt the club will do it otherwise), let me and some of the 'big guys' on here know so that we can be heard. (I personally wouldn't want to be in charge of the petition though! I'm terribly unorganized. I'm just pitching the idea.) I was thinking a medium sized star like this Milan one -
  18. My BIGGEST worry going into last nights match, was that if we failed to win and missed out on CL football next year, that Mata would leave for a team like Real Madrid or Barcelona. That was the only thing on my mind. He's instantly become one of my favourite players of all time, and he's only been here 1 season. I hope we have many successful years to come with him involved! :blue scalf:
  19. Oh by the way, this season - Benayoun >>> Modric.
  20. I still don't believe we'll get him (nor do I want us to), but - Santos president: "Neymar is not only wanted by Real Madrid and Barcelona, but there is also PSG, Chelsea and Juventus."
  21. "If you love Chelsea and you know it clap your hands!" *clap clap*
  22. Modric wouldn't fit in here guys, unless we change to a 4-4-1-1/4-2-2-1-1 like Tottenham currently use. Modric would be far too deep in a 4-2-3-1 and have less influence on the game (and he's crap at tackling), and isn't the right player to play in the hole. A 4-4-1-1 would be the best for him, but that would mean deeper wingers than we currently try and use, which means we'd probably need some properly pacey wingers. Modric would retain his current role in a midfield duo beside a hard-tackler, with Mata floating around as the "1" behind our striker. Just because a player is good, doesn't mean he's the right player.
  23. We have to remember guys - What RDM has done for us as a player and as a legend has been brilliant. I don't want us to ruin that. Look at Dalglish at Liverpool. A total legend, but now much less of a legend after damaging Liverpool. We have no idea how RDM would deal with transfers and new egos at the club who have no idea of our history and that RDM is a legend. He already doesn't seem like a great motivator to Lampard and Drogba etc, as he's their FRIEND first and foremost before being their boss. He seems like a great, determined, passionate tactician - but not a manager yet... just like AVB. He DESERVES to manage us, but I think it would be the wrong move long-term. He's also a fan of defensive football, which Roman no longer wants. It would be extremely hard parting with RDM, especially after what he's just helped us achieve. Love the guy.
  24. Sorry for being a party pooper, but I don't really believe we are actually in the race to sign him anymore. It's probably just infamous newspaper rubbish, and since we've just won the Champions League ( :D :D), it's a good time for them to capitalize on all the Hazard "I'll be wearing blue" comments. I personally don't even know if I want him here. He's outrageously talented, but his ego is one of the worst I've ever seen, and his wage demands would just be far too much. Mata is on 60k. Hazard wants 250k. Just..wow.
