I think Ake could eventually (talking 4+ years) offer the same qualities. I'd just appreciate what we have outside of Cahill until then, then bring him back as Azpi no doubt physically demands rotation by that point. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

I think if he had proper pace, he could develop his instinct to shoot more and essentially become a Hazard clone - right now he has the intelligence to distract 3 players at once while teammates get into attacking positions, which is basically what sets Hazard himself above the rest. Yet he lacks the pace. So central he should be, probably, considering his off days resemble a lazy but still talented Ozil. If we'd been playing 4231 for the past 2 seasons and clearly intended to for the foreseeable future, he'd make it here; hundreds of starts. But with how things are here, I see it more likely he flourishes elsewhere. Which is fine as long as it's not for an English rival. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

All Musonda. Great team goal vs Zenit because of him; played it just like Hazard.

His 0 goals in 15 league games career for Liverpool is proving fruitful.

Not for us, but it'll be interesting how he turns out, considering everyone to move out of Holland in the past few years has failed to deliver on a bigger stage. He's 22yr old, Mexican, highest scorer in the league in which his team are dominating. But more simply, simply a goal worth seeing.

This is Christensen's club if he wants it. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk

Giroud's the only striker on our books since Drogba who exudes the qualities that a player like Eden would like to play beside.

How is it that only Azpilicueta can launch beautiful balls to our forwards?

Whichever Nigerian Prince orchestrated the scam of Moses to Chelsea deserves a medal.

Revealed: The reason Chelsea’s recent results are Conte’s fault
Leif replied to James's topic in Chelsea Articles
Bakayoko and Morata cost a lot of money! That's evidence that losing is your fault! -
IMO our biggest prospect. Had a shaky start to his loan (Charlton Athletic); has turned into the team's best player according to fans. It was stupid to loan him to League 1.

Comparing Hazard / Salah's like comparing Luis Figo / Robben, or Drogba / Harry Kane. Entirely different roles. Pointless.

I wanted it to happen, really didn't think it would 10 games ago - but it looks like Terry could be earning promotion right away if Aston Villa keep it up. That makes his move a dream one if it plays out. In other news - Kenedy, playing in his actual position, outperforming Sanchez - shocker.

Consensus is he needs more time, but has been a passenger so far. Nobody hates the guy, but nobody is confident with him, yet. To me, the loan looks good for him still. It's a medium, average burn he's on, and that's what he needs. As long as he can get minutes & not get outplayed or bullied for a whole season it's a successful loan. He may not be taking charge as people want him to, but he's not falling into highlight reels as a bad player either. I think after 20 or so games he'll really get into his rhythm, and i think then he'll be worth watching every week.

There's no way Celtic's Dembele makes it at a top, top, top club. One of the few mid-table clubs with cash will end up with him no doubt, where he'll be one of the best players but probably too bad-attituded to be endearing towards fans (I think Everton are the most likely club; it has them written all over it.) Nobody in Serie A would afford him. Nobody in Bundesliga would afford him. Nobody but PSG in Ligue 1 would afford him. In La Liga, Barcelona/Madrid have no reason to be interested, and Atletico won't splash the cash on a player with 1 lung. Who else can afford him, if we disregard teams from Russia/China/etc? Man City (no need), Man United (no need), Liverpool (no need), Chelsea (not our type of transfer; not our type of player) - Arsenal & Tottenham can't/wouldn't afford; who's left in Europe with some stature and money? Everton, if the price is cut by 25%. At a stretch I could imagine Inter Milan going for him too if he's discounted.

So far he's been like Ozil. Anonymous off the ball, exciting on the ball. He seems like a luxury player. The last cherry to add on top of a team, not the type of player to build the team around (like Hazard). If he doesn't assist pretty much every game I don't think he'll be playing for us long term. But a lot comes down to our next manager+formation.
-
Not worried considering we've genuinely upgraded our striker.

If our players can win CL semi finals + a final without a manager, I wouldn't dismiss the idea that Barcelona's players, not managers, have lead them since Guardiola left. Barcelona's players must be something like 85% responsible for each win, with the manager contributing just marginally. Enrique may have got to choose the presentation of the cake, but he was not responsible for it's quality and consistency. Managing Chelsea players is nothing like managing theirs. We don't even judge managers based on their time with Barcelona anymore; it's almost unanimous that they flatter to deceive. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
