  1. They haven't played anyone of any real threat except Arsenal. That defense hasn't been tested AT ALL.
  2. My only disappointment is we're not taking clear chances to score. The players we have you would think that would happen...
  3. What I learned about Willian today: He hates Tottenham...
  4. Trying to figure out what people expect? These are guys that haven't played a lot of football let alone together...
  5. despite getting a goal how many sitters did Torres miss? two for sure.
  6. Not a bad shout. how many sitters did Torres miss today?
  7. ---------- Schwarzer Cesar --- Luiz - Kalas - Bertrand ---- Van Ginkel - Essien DeBruyne - Mata - Willian ----------- Torres I start Torres mainly because he needs to score. Everything else just points to rest for the "still forming" starting XI. The game against the Spurs away is paramount! This game should prove why having so much depth is important to a team trying to win everything. Anything under a 3-0 will be a big let off.
  8. I'm really starting to lose my shit when I see this sort of nonsense... Fuck that! Do you remember what it was like the first few games under Rafa??? Jose is working with a young group and new players. It will take TIME just as it did with Rafa.
  9. Still needs to go to the bench. Only players that are playing well deserve to be an automatic call... I love him but he hasn't been explosive this season
  10. So hard to pick an XI with everyone looking so poor recently. One thing is for certain, if this team is to evolve we need to stop relying so heavily on Terry, Lamps and Cole. I know they are club legends and bleed blue but in order for the younger players to grow and become a cohesive unit we need someone else to step up and lead the group. My team on Saturday would be: Cech Ivanovic - Cahill - Luiz - Bertrand Mikel - Ramires DeBruyne - Mata - Schurrle Eto'o Willian in for DeBruyne and Oscar in for Mata.
  11. Simple. The team hasn't gelled yet and need to gain some understanding of each other. Really wanna see DeBruyne get a run out soon, he is probably the best passer on the team. Our best moments of the season occurred with Oscar, DeBruyne and hazard played together. I'd like to see that combination again
  12. You can draw whatever conclusions you want after reading my post. Nowhere did I say it was the end of the world it was just a piss poor performance in almost every area on the pitch. The only bright side is we get to play again on Saturday... Other than that nothing I saw today was inspiring
  13. Please elaborate. What positives did you take from this game?
  14. We looked lost out there. The reason Mikel was brought on was to allow us to get more people forward while he sits.
  15. Absolute horse shit. If anyone can find one positive to draw from todays game I'm listening and I'll be ready to shoot you down. Cole - back to back abysmal performances Ivanovic - Not looking anything like a RB Cahil/Luiz - Zero organization and no awareness whatsoever. Lampard - I'd be surprised if he made one tackle today. every time he received the ball he turned around and passed it to the defenders... Useless Van Ginkel - Probably the worst I've seen him play, poor first touches and late on almost every tackle. Hazard - FLOPPED. He hasn't put in one decent shift in the Champions league to date. Zero influence and some of the most ridiculous decisions passing it. Oscar - Ya he scored but his passes were awful, again the decisions just weren't there and when they were the pass was wayward. Willian - He ran today... That's about it. I thought he was gonna inject some width we looked so narrow it was frightening. Eto'o - never got involved and when he did just looked terrible. Had no endeavour or made any runs. Mata - Still looks like he needs more time with the 1st team he just looked like he didn't know where to play the ball. Ba - I back him to score today and truly he looked average. Held up the ball at least. Jose Mourinho has no excuse today tactically he got it wrong today Salah had a field day down the flank and neither Cole nor Brana had the pace to deal with him. We only got width from our FB's and when we turned it over our FB's were way too slow to get back and deal with the Salah. That was a tactical error... The FB's need to stay home and allow for the width to come from our wingers. We look completely unorganized to call this a Jose Mourinho side. I'm VERY disappointed with the performance and lack of drive.
  16. He's a good striker hasn't been given enough games to find his form with the club.
  17. Hearing rumours Ba will start too! Not disappointed at all because I believe he is a Baad man! Thought Eto'o would start mainly because we need to get someone in that plays consistently. If its Demba Ba I expect him to do well and bang in some goals for us.
  18. If I had my choice it would be Mikel next to one of Oscar or DeBruyne
  19. So no Essien, no Ramires and now possibly no Mikel. Lampard and Van Ginkel?
  20. Yes he was good in a second rate competition. I still don't trust him sorry...
  21. Flourished? Torres has never flourished at any time in his Chelsea career. He scored a lucky goal against Shakhtar other than that nothing...
  22. Eto'o must start and must score as well... Don't want any pressure mounting early. He's been a goal every two games his entire career I look for that to continue on Wednesday. Would love to see -------- Cech Azpili - Luiz - Terry - Cole --- Van Ginkel - Mikel Willian - Mata - Hazard -------- Eto'o will likely see: -------------- Cech Ivanovic - Cahill - Terry - Cole ---------- Lampard - Mikel ------ Schurrle - Mata - Hazard --------------- Eto'o
  23. I watch every game twice. when I watch it live I'm too dialled in to catch all the little things.
  24. Ah well... I never thought we'd go the season undefeated.(Okay I'm lying a bit) most of the major talking points have been addressed, we need to finish chances, Cole and Schurrle were poor, we have loads of problems in the midfield when teams press us. The other things I think need to be brought up is Eto'o needs to score the next game he plays. Not because I think he'll get shook but because we need to know we can rely on him to deliver with some regularity. Thought he was good today, not great... excellent movement and passing, sub par finishing. If Mata isn't making incisive passes and threatening the back 4 he's largely useless out there. I hate to say it but its true, he needs to find other ways to have an impact on the game. He doesn't even create space for others... Its early but I think he's gonna have a hard time in this system. Hazard really has to start asserting himself earlier. He came on a bit later but for much of the 1st half he had no impact he needs to get more involved in the game as it will free up space for others later. He was triple teamed for much of the 2nd half had he gotten that sort of attention in the first half we would've had more opportunities. Someone said this earlier and I believe it to be true, when Hazard is attracting 3 defenders there has to be someone open and nobody came to utilize the space. Too many people ball watching. Loved the substitution of Cole for Torres though I thought what was missing was someone in a deeper role who could move the ball quick. Ramires and Mikel were good today but when Everton began pressing in the 2nd half we didn't have anyone in the middle of the pitch to move the ball quickly. DeBruyne needs to be given a chance in this role I believe and a game where we're chasing it would've been ideal. Early days. Frustrating results. Decent play but nothing scintillating. We need to have more endeavour in attack and that starts with Hazard for me.
