A world class striker in his prime could be the difference between winning the prem and finishing 3rd.... between winning the champions league and going out at the knockout stages. Falcao is without a doubt a match winner of the highest order and I'm sorry those types are priceless. 50M is serious cash but he's money in the bank since his goals will improve our ability to win silverware dramatically
-
We would be complete mugs if we have the ability to buy Falcao and opt not to. Easily one of the most clinical finishers in the world... You give him Hazard, Oscar, Willian, Mata, Schurrlë and you have a striker with the space and ability to score 30 per season, no doubt about it.
-
When are people gonna realize Lewandowski is committed to Bayern? Its a foregone conclusion people... FOREGONE.... GONE... Will never happen
-
More than anything else Paul Pogba should be a Chelsea target. He is PRECISELY what this team needs to glue the defenders and attackers, has just enough steel in defense and more than enough skill and passing/shooting ability going forward.... I would LOVE for him to join Chelsea.
-
OR they are just rumours with no foundation and created by the media to sell papers. Yes that is also an option. The options are wide open but for me, adding Falcao would be excellent for Chelsea. If possible we have to find a way Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free

No kidding? All of this is just rumours. The reason they are rumours is because there is some degree of plausibility. With Ba even if we sell him for 7.5M and buy Falcao for 50M its a no brainer to me Falcao for 42.5M is still a great deal.
-
Its not impossible. And even without moving Torres we have options to lighten the weight of the transfer fee. Mata, DeBruyne, Ba... The point is we have makeweights to lessen the transfer fee.
-
We didn't sign Cavani because their owner overvalued him. Why do you think we wouldn't pay that sort of money for Falcao? if it means replacing Torres with Falcao the difference on the pitch will outweigh the difference in price. Also, with Torres as makeweight we're not actually paying 52M
-
Ya not twice as good but clearly the better player in my eyes. He has an affect on games that I haven't seen in Witsel. He is playing with better players though
-
Not me. Pogba is much more dynamic and has more influence in big matches.
-
Falcao is DEF worth 50M look at what he's done throughout his career? The main reason we didn't sign him was because of his 3rd party ownership not because of him being overvalued. That is of little concern, we need two capable scorers and one is in his prime the other very early into his career. No need to rush him into being our everyday striker particularly when our aspirations are to win the CL and Prem that's a lot of pressure.
-
Witsel is good, not Pogba good... Paul Pogba is clearly on another level even at the age of 20
-
Not so sure if it goes down it'll be a straight money for player swap. Torres could be used as a makeweight and also Mata may be sold... Falcao is a killer, this talk of not being the 'right' striker for Chelsea is silly. If this goes through we will have one of the more fluid striker partnerships in the world. Lukaku comes back coupled with Falcao and a third striker like Ba or Eto'o? Nasty. Falcao to Chelsea would be heavenly not sure what the debate is.

Dude, Lampard is done. He hasn't been anywhere near effective this year. You seem to be analyzing one aspect on the pitch. Mata has been poor all season as well... He doesn't put in any tackles nor has his passing been pinpoint and he isn't strong keeping possession of the ball. The problems we're experiencing on the pitch have little to do with the personnel, it stems from having Ancellotti, AVB, RDM, Bentitez and now Jose as Manager. Its the many different philosophies and the little amount of time people like yourself and the media give for it to effectively seep into the players game. Right now we're relying on a lot of natural ability and little team cohesion/intuition, in time when we've had the same group and philosophy in place we'll start to see more movement and clever attacking intuition
-
Positional awareness and also lacking and also the instincts of knowing when to go in and make a tackle and when to shield.
-
We need a physical side not a "tall" one. And I for one think Essien is one of our most physical mids... This isn't what I expect Jose to do just what I think he SHOULD do.
-
I would only start Lamps because of his record against West Ham, my gut is telling me he's done and a physical Hammers side will give our midfield loads of trouble. We will need to cope with their size and for that reason only I would start Ivanovic.... Again... He's been terrible but we need to contest aerials all day. Cech Brana - Terry - Cahill - Azpilicueta Ramires - Essien Schurrle - Mata - Hazard Eto'o The Brazilians will have travelled the furthest so I imagine Jose will rest a few of them. 3pts is a must with the other fixtures going on that week.
-
Solid, unspectacular win. Did what was necessary and once again showed how deep we are. I thought Eto'o was MotM mainly because he won the game for us. Willian and Azpilicueta deserve mention as well but for me a two goal performance from your lone striker is hard to ignore. Willian is definitely working his way into being a lynch pin type player for Jose! Works hard at both ends and likes to defend. I fancy him to keep his spot on the weekend along with Oscar. Oscar's main attribute today and of late is winning the ball back, he needs to be better going forward his spacing on the pitch is not very good, he often comes to within 5 ft of the ball to receive it and it often leads to congestion and ineffective overloads. Cech made some timely saves, we got lucky and in the first half and voila, we are top of the group needing only a point to qualify. Still need to be much better going forward, we lack aggression and the will to make that special pass to unlock the defense. Until we can figure it out we're gonna require some luck or set piece magic to beat lesser teams mainly because they will always sit deep and defend in numbers. I would like to see more balls played into the middle areas of the pitch to allow our wingers time and space to attack without having two or three guys crowding them out.
-
If signing Lewandowski means saying goodbye Mata what do you all think about that?
-
After re-watching a very, very poor Newcastle game I'm hoping for a real shake up. Cech Ivanovic - Luiz - Terry - Cole Ramires - Mikel Willian - Hazard - Schurrle Eto'o And yes I agree with the popular opinion that Hazard has been poor but I feel moving him in the middle of the pitch where he can get more touches might help.
-
There's a difference between saying 'we haven't played our best football' and 'but in general, I haven't been satisfied with most of our games so far'' It doesn't take a master of linguistics to see that.
-
I disagree. We're still finding our best football but for the most part our defense has been really good and we're scoring very efficiently. Why is it whenever we lose its about how poor we were and not about how well Newcastle worked to take away what we like to do? I thought Newcastle loads of men behind the ball and also made if difficult to have our AM's get the ball with space... Their workrate was very good. Today was the sort of game I would've rather see Eto'o and Essien start but I'm not Jose makes the calls and usually get it right. Today just wasn't our day nothing to get down about.
-
Oh ya, the sky is still falling in Kojo-land, sorry! you get internet access in your bomb shelter? wow!
-
what haven't you been satisfied with through a 6-0 run in October?
-
Don't get your panties in a knot Newcastle away is always tough. We're still gonna win the league and my next visit to West London will be on the 18th of January. We should meet up for a pint! You are of the legal drinking age right? If not I can get you a cup of Earl Grey, cool?
