  1. Geez look what I've started here! Brother we're all intelligent, like minded people here! This should be a place to discuss our love for Chelsea... If you want a place to go to insult people and troll there are perfectly good pages for that(you know which ones I'm referring to) If I've offended you or anyone else here I apologize, was basically trying to highlight that the season doesn't end in week 10.
  2. Again no disrespect but judging by what you've said it sounds like you don't have much experience in a 38 game prem season. Game 10 is hardly a must win in a title race.
  3. Where I live doesn't matter its how long I've been watching that does. judging by your comment it seems you're fairly new to the game.
  4. it'll take you a few seasons before you can properly grasp how the Prem works, its not as intellectual as you think though I can see how you have problems understanding it.
  5. Your point makes no sense and really isn't a point. Losing to Newcastle away doesn't have anything about winning the league come May. Its about showing the most consistency over the course of the 38 games. We could lose to Newcastle and go on a run of form where we win every game from there and because we lost to Newcastle in the beginning of November you would think its a signal we don't deserve the league? LOL its game 10... and away date anything can happen dude...
  6. You need to present a logical argument to get a logical response. Saying we're not title contenders if we lose to Newcastle away is Illogical... City lost to Cardiff, Cardiff are close to regulation, is City no longer a title contender?
  7. Newcastle away is never easy, we will have to play well and I trust Jose won't take them lightly. On any given day a Prem team can step up and beat another Prem team, its what makes that league so great... No sure things.
  8. We'll see. I don't think the Prem is as cut and dry as it once was. Even title challengers have slips, its about minimizing how many of them you have in a given term. I said in the post match for City that this is a period where we need to throw down the gauntlet and take 15pts out 18 over the next 6 games so I'm with you but slips do happen.
  9. Anything can happen. They have players capable of turning it up at any given time, we just have to be focussed and determined to get a result. After three huge wins its not hard to envision a let off. But having said that Jose is the type of manager that will motivate his side to press on and use the positive atmosphere to build on a decent run of form.
  10. I think Mata should start for Oscar, we have a big Champions League game midweek following this one. I think Mata did enough yesterday to try and build on a positive performance
  11. Jose disagrees and so do I. Mikel offers stability in the back but nothing(sick goal at Fulham) going forward. We are a counter attacking team now, we need people who move the ball quickly and to get forward in numbers. Frank fits the bill as does Ramires... Mikel comes in to kill off the game and slow the tempo.
  12. One other note I took from this game and a couple previous. Our clearances from Cech are being directed down the right flank to Ivanovic with devastating effect. He wins a lot of headers and flicks it into dangerous areas, the first goal was a result of this and many of our attacks were built off of this recently.
  13. So because United were able to rescue points from defeat at an alarming rate due to Van Persie you think Arsenal will be our main threat for the title? Dude last year was anomaly not the rule.
  14. I'm surprised he was able to walk... Ankles broken.
  15. Yes they managed to win the league on the strength of Van Persie's brilliance, you really think that the same will apply to Arsenal over the course of the season? Ramsey's been great, Ozil will help but that defense is terrible... and Sczyny or what the fuck his name is, is not a good keeper. They will buckle before Christmas comes.
  16. Arsenal???? Good Lord, who have they played?
  17. I think you guys both need to have a better understanding of what it means to dominate. No team dominated the game, if you ask me Chelsea had the better scoring chances but to say we were dominated or we dominated the game that would be incorrect. If City aren't the best team in the league I would really like to know who you think it is? City WITH Kompany and about as good as it gets in the Prem... We are definitely right there though
  18. They weren't great but against tough opponents who have us going backwards and forward they were pretty good in an overall sense.
  19. Fabulous game. To take all three points from this contest was a must for me and the lads did just enough to get the result. Jose Mourinho.... Few can argue he is the best trainer/manager in the game. How he's gotten Torres looking like a potent threat is remarkable, yes a lot of it comes down to Nando but its hard to ignore the contribution Jose has made. We just beat a VERY good side nothing to get overly excited about mainly because they were without Kompany who is without a doubt their most important player. They will be there in the end and we will have to be much better to beat them at Etihad. So we've now played City at home, Tottenham, Utd and Everton away and have come away with 5pts... Its not incredible but that is definitely not bad at all for a squad 9 games into a new season and manager. Heads down now, we need maximum points from 90% of the games we will play Newcastle, West Ham, Sunderland and Stoke City away are must wins and the same can be said for West Brom and Crystal Palace at home. 18pts up for grabs I say anything under 15 is a disappointment, its not hard to envision us taking all 18... We beat a wounded team today but it will do loads for our confidence going forward. Nando is scoring, Eto'o will score more and our defense is looking steely, all the signs are there for a good run of games.
  20. Now THAT is harsh... He still made some incredibly timely saves on Silva and Aguero. He should've had the goal but 5/10 seems wrong.
  21. 3pts is a must now that Kompany is ruled out of the game. Strongest XI and look to attack them through the middle. Fernandinho hasn't bee anything close to formidable in that midfield and Yaya can't be everywhere(or can he?) I have a strong feeling the 1st goal will go a long way to deciding the winner so its imperative we get off to a good start. I still want Eto'o to start because I feel we're gonna need movement and clever passing. Torres on at 60 if we're chasing the game.
  22. I feel the first goal will decide the match. And there is no reason to divert from playing the style we are most comfortable playing. 4-2-3-1
