Cech, Riccy, Terry, Cole; Saar, Rio, Vidic, Evra,.etc...those were amazing defenders, but the fall isnt just in premier league. Other leagues are weaking too, there is no Puyol, Salgado, Helguera in spain anymore or Thuram, Blanc in france. Every year, we are having worse and worse defenders, even so called best in world ala Luiz, Hummels, Ramos, Pique (lol) etc can be real flops on their day more often than not. Cannavaro, Terry, Puyol etc had much more competition in past. They were equal to each other but if any of those was playing now; he would be best defender in world by miles. Worth 100m if Luiz is 50. Saddly the quality has lowered and I hope Mou finds quality CB prospects (I hope Zouma can be that guy) that will lead our defence in future because finding realy good and proven CB nowdays is impossible.

Im still questioning why we bought Salah. Its not because he wouldbt be good enough, but more because we have Thorgan, Atsu who could fill that gap or we could buy Markovic who was half ours anyway and is bigger prospect. About Markovic, I think he will be very good for liverpool in future. He is special talent, fast and hard working. Brendan knows how to work with youngsters (Danny, coutinho, Sterling), Im sure Markovic will be another one who will succeed in this system. 25m is too much for him right now, but his potential is worth it. I dont know much about Can, but I heard he was great in Bayer, Lovren is also quality CB. Lallana is overpriced and definately not what Lpool needs atm. They need LB more than another AM right now, if they signed Markovic and Lovren ofcourse. I think their team will be good next year; Sturridge is still there and he will score goals. Sterling will improve and they will cover some areas in depth aswell as starters like Lovren. But Suarez is added quality. Before match, opponent shits themselves if they know who they play against. Manager also marks Suarez with more men. This gives more space for rest of lpool players etc. New signing wont have that effect and thats why Lpool wont be in title race. But I still think they will be quality team. Top 5. Suarez is world class and they havent signed such player as replacement.

Aubameyang was one of targets. Also Garcia is great coach, they could do a Atletico next year. Maybe not final of CL; but they could surprise. But they must keep all their players this summer, however that wont be easy.

I dont think Germany was all that great...france got wrong approach and they didnt fight and run enough to win it except for last 15min which is not enough. Algeria and Ghana were close with Germany, I thinj this was game of experience and nerves, germans won it and now it looks like they did a world class job, but to be honest France had more chances to score. If Mou will go with 4:3:3 next season with Cesc as AM, I think he must definately bring Pogba/Vidal/...here because all the good things Cesc will bring to midfield, Rambo will destroy it. He was good sometime ago, but this year he is terrible and shoudnt be a starter. Him in current form wont make our midfield good even with Cesc.

As long he gets REGULAR playtime I dont mind him going to Monaco/Sunland. But if he will sit on bench I prefer him to stay here.

Pogba is expensive because there is few realy good CMs. There is sea of AMs, but top CM players like Pogba who can defend, be tacticaly sound and have great ball control and vision are fewer. Count that Pogba is 21 and will probably evolve into twice the player he is atleast, the price is understandable. Is he worth it? No, but few players are realy worth the price clubs pay for them. Is Pogba worth the investment in today football? YES.

Way too much, but that gives you quality today I guess. Mangala is perfect for City, he will evolve in top CB, Kompany-Mangala looks very strong.

Real Sociedad singed Alfred Finnbogasson for 8mio. Best dutch striker last season, scored 29 goals. Brilliant deal IMO.

Is it smart to compare today Cesc with one from 3/4 years ago? I mean, Torres was good few years ago too, but that didnt mean he would be good for us too. I think Cesc is now different player, he isnt as fast and mobile, neither motivated like he was in Arsenal. I think he will be good here, but lets see how he does first.

Whats the bad thing is that neither Cesc or Oscar cant stay back and defend and allow Matic to bomb forward. Last year, Matic was great at runing forward with ball, now with Cesc and Oscar, his role will be very limited. Thats why someone like Pogba would be best in our midfield. To offer some cover if Matic goes forward. And now with Matic limited, he wont be half player he could be. He will be beast in defending, but he can do much more than that.

Yup, but that wasnt my point realy. Even I saw Origi did better in first three games, and Lukaku underperformed. Its normal to be critical even to your own players. However I dislike the attitude and constant bashing and complete lack of thrust of certain posters on our players. They have no patience and belief in our own players and they call themselves Chelsea fans.

Its funny that there were some smart asses who blamed Lukaku for everything and praised Origi. But what is even funnier now is that after Lukaku scored winner and put them doubters here wrong, they still want to hide it with fact that Origi was "better" in game, the same game where Lukaku scored winner and assisted the other.
