Funny thought, Ramos is respected, but Marcelo on other hand recieved shitload of mock for his defending for years. Interesting, he is, like Luiz a funny guy. When you look all those videos about Marcelo or Luiz and then watch them defend badly in game, obviously people will make more fun of them. However, Marcelo is one of best fullbacks in the world regardless. Luiz simply has bad luck for being CB because that is the position, you need to be absolutely serious or points get dropped. However he is not as bad as people think.

Ramos is closer to Luiz than many people think. His defending is hilarious at times and he is one if not the most agressive CB out there, because timing and calmness are not his pros. Both are similar in defending, but Ramos makes less mistakes when going forward. He is very passionate and scores lot of goals, thats why people like and rate him.

My prediction we will finish top 3. If our key players and new signings perform well, we will be contender for first place ahead of manchesters. Why? Because of Conte and his versatility. Because he made a team. United will be dependant on Pogba and Ibra, City can be stopped if pressed high. All three teams are not finished article, United has poor midfield and city needs to get rid of some dead wood too. Have some faith in our team.

I will wait with my expectations about Luiz, but like Juan said, he is best option we can get right now. I would prefer Koulibaly, Bonucci, Laporte, Varane, but if no one is available, there is nothing we can do. And going without new CB in this season would be bad for us. Luiz is not world class, but considering our target is PL (and that is a stretch), I dont mind having him here. His passion is unreal.
