  1. The risk of Guardiola getting it wrong is higher. di matteo knows the players and more importantly has shown his tactical shrewdness. our transfer activity so far has been encouraging and i have no doubts di matteo will incorporate marin, kdb and obviously hazard into the team. he has already established a formation and working tactic which will be even better with hazard on the wing rather than Kalou. if guardiola comes in - we start from scratch. again.
  2. Goals vs Arsenal in pretty much all of those seasons lol. include that glorious freekick at the emirates vs Everton - his best ever in terms of technique vs Barca (2006), vs Liverpool, vs Spurs (2012) - his other swivel and shoot goals. vs Juve in CL. Liverpool in CL semi and vs everton - FA Cup final vs ManUnited - FA Cup Final 2007, vs Arsenal 2009 FA Cup Semi vs Hull, Everton, Wigan Hat-trick - 2009-10 vs Barca, Napoli - 2012 that's pretty much it i guess
  3. Good Luck to Brendan Rodgers. I hope he picks up where King Kenny left off
  4. it stems from the fact that chelsea cant make it work and also that it is quite boring for the "thrill-seekers". can't help it
  5. but seriously, u cant possibly be suggesting that chelsea will implement tiki taka AND make it work?
  6. Amen. The number of guys who think Pep will be better than di matteo is embarrassing. tactically perfect set-up all the way to munich + rotation + did not over -rely on seniors + attacking philosophy before + and this is the clincher for me - Blue Blood
  7. eddie newton should get as much credit as di matteo imo. tactically perfect setup, especially against benfica and barca
  8. exactly tiki taka is pass pass and move. dont see chelsea doin that even if pep tries tbh. i think pep will try the manc or rmcf way with chelsea. direct attacking football. no tiki taka nonsense
  9. bloody hell http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/346650/20120530/chelsea-news-guardiola-abramovich-meeting-falcao-transfer.htm http://www.thesun.co...k-business.html
  10. di Matteo deserves it. he has shown a very attacking philosophy - mk dons and west brom - and more importantly he has a connection with the players while at the same time, he knows that it is time for change. abramovich may be calling the shots on the transfers but di matteo has dropped essien completely, used the seniors lesser as the season entered the business end and gave a chance to bertrand, lukaku. he is definitely the man
  11. ^we are spending on the RB. now that bosingwa's gone. but all this depends on di matteo's(?) formation for next season. will he continue with the 4-2-3-1? also, will ramires be our new yaya toure? mikel doesn't cut it as a Box2Box midfielder. he's more of an anchor man. so given that mata was not having enough options to pass to and Lampard working as a deep lying playmaker now, ramires as a box to box alongside lampard or mikel would be a master-stroke in the current formation. don't think having two lines of four players spread across the field in our own half will work next season edit: although he has been better on the wings than at CM
  12. I would sign one of Hulk or Hazard and if it came down to it, i would choose hulk over hazard but seeing as we are set to sign hazard, i dont think hulk is necessary any more. FFP is coming and we have to keep an eye on our finances. also, ramires, sturridge kdb and marin will be perfectly good enough wing options not to mention Lucas Piazon who may play in the carling cup or get the chance to play with the big boys if there is an injury crisis. But i do worry that if torres doesn't start scoring early in the season, he will be under a lot of pressure and that way hulk would be a good signing because he can give us depth in the ST role. Lukaku is not anywhere near ready to play consistently but I think Sturridge at ST is worth a shout. He is fast, and has a good left foot on him and has shown at Bolton that he is a good poacher
  13. he isn't useless against the smaller teams, mate. also, we can save a lot more by not buying hulk anyday. ramires and sturridge on the right is enough if we are looking to save cash but if we do sign hulk then it should be essien malouda in the exit list ahead of ramires
  14. he is a real asset in the games against teams around us in the table. actually 'real asset' is an understatement. against city or united, it will be ramires who will be more useful than hazard
  15. i was merely saying we dont sell him and yeah, i think against the smaller teams it will be sturridge or hulk(?) on the right
  16. nah mate. as u saw, he is crucial to our counter game against big teams. he was sorely missed in the final and will be more than useful against attacking opponents because he has the pace to attack and the stamina to get back and cover as well
  17. Wait for a month. Hulk will be ST, Ramires will be RW and torres will be on the bench
  18. is he rigid with the Left wing position? or can he play right or centre attacking mid as well?
  19. is the site stripped down to the essentials or something? because the ex-blues sections etc are not there atm
  20. nah. he is going to liverpool. major troll
  21. ^i thought his tweet confirmed it. he is signing for the champions league winner
  22. HAZARD UPDATE: He's gone to the toilet
  23. a happy ending depends on where you stop the story and i don't think the story's over yet
  24. Chelsea dint win the CHAMPIONS LEAGUE by spending money, idiot. even though we spent so much, the players who started the final? we dint spend much on bertrand, cole, cahill, cech, kalou and they put in a good shift in the final. sriously, u better read your comments before u post them.
