Ofcourse we don't know but it doesn't justify the decision to take him off! And I doubt anyone was saying Mourinho should take risks away at Arsenal but the substitutes did not have any impact. Hazard and Willian both off meant that the attack was disjointed for the last few minutes. Don't mean that he should have thrown on a striker and gone gung-ho for it. A point at Arsenal is good obviously and the performance was also fine but I didn't agree with Jose's subs in the game.

Chelsea had a better chance with those two or one of them kept on. The continuity in attack was lost towards the end. there were a few good counter attacking chances late on that didn't go anywhere. agree with the risk of burnout though. at this point of the season

Willian and Hazard was Chelsea's attack though. Everything was going through those two. It was the wrong decision to take off both. You made the point when you said Schurrle was disconnected from the play. You don't expect Schurrle or Oscar to jump in and start combining well with the midfield and that's why Hazard should have been kept on imo. He was having a good game and would have been dangerous even late on. Can't blame the subs for not doing well. Part of the blame lies with Mourinho for completely changing the attack.

I'm fine with games like this. Lot of Chelsea's big games have been away from home - Spurs, United, Arsenal, Everton. In the second half of the season, there'll be the home games and Chelsea always tend to put the opposition under pressure at home. A midfielder in January and things should improve
