  1. They got rid of him twice, already. He should dream about being good enough to have Madrid want him.
  2. I think it will be better for the bench/back-up players to be able to train with a couple of the players who are more used to the system. (edit: I just realized that there are no fullbacks at Cobham) I'm actually really intrigued to see the first League Cup match (assuming that Jorginho would be rested). I'm really curious to see what this team looks like without Jorginho on the pitch directing the traffic.
  3. Not really touched on in the video, but we're still riding our luck. We don't give up that many chances considering we have all the ball. But, the ones we give up are massive.
  4. Thought he was excellent yesterday. Looked a little leggy towards the end and was probably subbed off at the right time. He was so positive every time he got on the ball.
  5. Used to go there too, but had a discount in the Harrod's Foodhalls, so it was hard to justify skipping it to go to Harvey Nichs (too often).
  6. The bacon/cheese baguette was my favourite thing in the foodhall. If they still do them, they're worth waiting for, in order to get a fresh batch.
  7. See? That's what happens when you shoot, Eden. Thank you.
  8. Some of those CL groups look tricky. And it will make a Europa League win very difficult. Atletico, Dortmund, or Monaco down to the EL PSV or Inter Napoli or Liverpool Shakhtar, Lyon, or Hoffenheim Man Utd, or Velencia
  9. Yeah, it's pretty interesting. Haven't seen anyone do stats like that (for teams). You can see how far away our defence is from the finished article. Also, the tempo may be there, but I think if they looked at things like key passes and xG, we'd still be off the mark. Long way to go, but the article does echo how surprised/pleased I am with how far along we are.
  10. https://www.stats.com/industry-analysis-articles/fast-learners-how-sarris-chelsea-are-emulating-sarris-napoli/
  11. I don't know if he's doing his thing where he takes all the heat to remove the press talking about his players (he used to be really good at that). But Utd fans don't seem to be too enamoured with him talking about the 3 PLs he's won. In conjunction with the way he's handled himself all summer, it's not a good look for him.
  12. Yeah, these journos don't really know how Sarri's system works. I don't really blame them, everyone on this board spent months looking at every YouTube video/reading every article they could.
  13. When Courtois was going on about getting Hazard to join him in Madrid, it got me thinking: If you were in the RM squad, what would you be thinking? This guy has just rocked up. Expects to take (my friend) Navas' spot. And now he thinks Hazard should come and take who's spot? Mine? Marcos'? Isco's? What, are we shit or something? You don't think we're good enough? Probably not the best way to enter a new place of employment. If someone came to my work and sat down and right away started talking about how this guy from his last company should take my job because they are much better, I'd tell them to go fuck themselves.
  14. Go with the Marina negotiation strategy. They say 2B. Start with 100K.
  15. Yeah, I agree. I like the yellow kits. This was my last favourite away kit:
  16. I still don't think that Madrid want him all that badly. We gave them a chance, and they made an offer that everyone knows is a lowball. Hazard knows it too. Neymar to Madrid makes too much sense for everyone.
  17. Hope so. He didn't fail here through lack of effort. Just not up to scratch, not with the way we want to play. Hope his career gets kickstarted again in Milan.
  18. That's something I know nothing about. Whiskey and wine. That's my thing. Well, either or, not at the same time. I'll give it a whirl.
  19. 1pt in the last 5 visits to St. James' Park. I see a draw. 2-2. It's going to be tough sledding until the defence is sorted.
  20. Is that what happened to it? Shit, I knew something was up. I was in the UK a couple of months ago and tried to find some. Saw prices of £200 + and thought "No, that's not it, I paid £70 ish. That must be something different (although odd that it's still Hibiki 17)". My whisky reserves are still in good shape so I ended up bringing a bunch of wine back instead, so it worked out. But, I'll savour all the 17 Hibiki I have left, knowing that I'll never see it again. Balls. Thanks for the heads up.
  21. Not had that one. My favourite Japanese whisky to date has been the 17 year old Hibiki. I miss the Whisky exchange, in fact, since moving back to Canada I miss privatized alcohol sales in general. Will have a look out for it on my next trip back to the UK. Cheers.
