  1. I was going to say the same. I know he makes us question it sometimes, but he is still just a human.
  2. I thought I read somewhere during silly season that Man Utd offered 50, but Kovacic turned it down because he didn't want to play as a CB (well, style of play, but you get what I mean).
  3. This CHO contract situation is almost as bad as the Hazard situation. At least, if Hazard doesn't renew, we'll get some decent money for him, we won't even get that with CHO. CHO is not going to be starting regularly next season, and as much as I want to see him in the team, I'm not sure he's ready for that yet (I agree, CHO needs to play more now). Edit: I re-read, my last post, I didn't mean to give the impression that I don't think anyone should be brought in. Just not a Sancho type of player. They have to be 1st team ready. CHO needs to play more now, and we can determine if that's him, I agree. CHO should really be getting Moses' minutes, I hope this is a Moses-in-the-shop-window type situation. Sarri certainly rates Chiesa, not sure what the club think about Bailey, and his dad/agent. If they both come in, it certainly means that Willian is off as well (which is okay with me too).
  4. Should buy a house, then he could do this every day when not at training or match days, for next 5-6 (+) years.
  5. Thank god that International Football is over. I agree with akgw13, Jose is going to have something in store. That something is Fellaini. I think he's going to be in the RB position when we kick off in order to combat the long overload diagonal we use on every kick off (maybe we'll go to the right this time?). I can also see Fellaini going up front as a no. 10 and Utd trying to bypass our press with long balls to Lukaku and/or Fellaini. We know that they are going to bring the bus. I suspect that the no.10 will have instructions to mark Jorginho. This is going to be a tough match. We'll see what Sarri thinks Jose will do, and what kind of adjustments he makes in preparation.
  6. Maybe we can get Baka to grow a mohawk and we'll have "the new Nainggolan"?
  7. That Croatia match was dreadful. Shit match, no goals, no real chances apart from Rashford, in an empty stadium. Did it really happen?
  8. With the way that Barkley is playing, do we try to buy Kovacic in the summer? I know Kovacic is a step above, but is he a 50M step-up? Considering: We need a ST (probably). We need a winger who will probably cost more than either Willian or Pedro. Maybe 2, but everyone will cost less than Hazard anyway. It may depend on Mount's progression. It's a long way from the Championship to heavy rotation for a title contender. Personally, I'd like to see, next season (assuming that Mount isn't ready yet). Kovacic/Barkley Kante/RLC Jorginho/Cesc or other DLP (I think Cesc is off) Mount on loan to a PL or Bundesliga team (that play in a 433). So, yes, I think Kovacic is worth the 50 or so, and Barkley is a great bench option to have.
  9. So, if we sell him, since there's no direct replacement, do you spend on someone who is proven, or do you get someone with potential (like when we bought Eden)? As of right now, if he leaves, we are looking at Willian, Pedro, and CHO next season. Anyone brought in will be a roadblock to CHO (unless one of Pedro or Willian leaves, and yes, I know everyone says Willian out).
  10. Whenever I see Asensio play, I'm always left underwhelmed (this means he'll score soon), what am I missing? I don't see the hype.
  11. So, I guess Milan aren't going to be interested in exercising that option to buy, huh?
  12. Keep going Mbappe!!!!! Start taking the free kicks and penalties as well.
  13. Yeah, it's like I said in a previous post somewhere. Madrid haven't shown him any love. Maybe the occasional "Netflix and chill?" text, but it's strictly booty call stuff. They were wooing Ronaldo when they wanted him. Neymar is more marketable which makes the transfer fee more financially sound. I think PSG would easily lose Neymar over Mbappe if they had to lose one. Mbappe is from Paris, and going to be the face of French football for the next 15 years. Maybe I'm talking shit and all of this is me trying to make myself feel more secure about Hazard staying, I don't know.
  14. I'm still 50/50 on this, whether he stays or goes. I do know that he is irreplaceable. But, we bought him before he was Hazard as we know him now, we'll have to find another. This uncertainty could possibly be the reason that we weren't so keen to let Willian leave this past summer. Everyone knows he's irreplaceable, so you don't drop all of that money on a ready-made replacement, they don't exist. If he leaves, we could move Willian over to the left (where he's better) and buy a couple of younger wingers who have the potential to be our main man in the future. Let's see what happens. I still think Madrid would prefer to have Neymar.
  15. I suppose the catch is: what defines interest from Madrid? Eden has to know what he's worth. If Madrid are offering Coutinho/Dembele type money, then that should show him where they rate him. I'm still convinced that Madrid would rather have Neymar. I don't necessarily think that Madrid don't want Hazard at all, I'm sure they do. But, if they had to make a choice with who they'd rather spend Galactico money on, I think it would be Neymar. I guess it would depend on what kind of offer they make, and what constitutes a serious offer. If they come with 50M, I doubt that Eden would ask for a move, he knows that's insulting money. If they come with 150?
  16. Yeah. I wanted to keep Chalobah if only for the spirit he showed in that whole thing the last time. He was the first to come over and get involved. I don't know how he keeps getting away with it. I don't normally wish injury upon any players but I wouldn't really shed a tear for Aguero. He's got it coming.
  17. I want him to stay, but he has to face up to the facts that he's been our 4th best CB so far this season. He's currently a back up to a 31 year old who missed most of last season with a knee injury. We play City in December so Aguero is sure to try to injure him (Luiz) again. He'll get his chances. But, when he gets them, he's going to have to do more than he has so far.
  18. He's the only other one we have that can really play that role. Everyone was quick to write him off in Conte's first season. But he changed his game as well as he could. That caught up to him last year, but a 2 man midfield is just asking for too much from him. Yeah, he doesn't have the legs anymore, but having 70% of the ball certainly helps in that regard. His passing and tactical awareness are still there.
  19. Could see him at Man Utd. It's almost perfect for them.
  20. It's all in his head. When he has time, he completely fluffs it. When it's instinctual, he puts them away.
