  1. If he was taller, he might not have saved that
  2. Possibly Firmino tracking back to man-mark Jorginho as well. Will need Luiz and Rudiger to be good on the ball. We'll see. Should be evident straight away.
  3. Hahaha. Classic this forum trying to read between the lines and not getting the message. Check the height of that horse you're on before you start talking down. I'm not moaning. I'm responding to a previous post where they said that it would have been nice if we didn't have to bring on starters. I'm saying that ideally no, but if it means that youngsters can get some playing time next round, that works out. I know that RLC is injured, but is he out of contention in the next round too? I know people moan a lot on this forum, but that doesn't mean every post is.
  4. Neither do I. I'd like it if CHO and RLC could have come on instead of Hazard and Kante. But, hopefully this means that they get 90 minutes is the next round (and we win again). Yes, goals are a problem, especially with Pedro out. Can't keep asking our LB to get goals either.
  5. I think this competition is BS. But, I really wanted to win this one. 1. It's Liverpool. 2. We won't have Liverpool every round, we need matches that the back-ups can play in. Every round is another match for Christiansen, Emerson, RLC, and hopefully Ampadu and CHO.
  6. Hazard is putting Henderson in a clown suit.
  7. He's really good. We should lock him down before a club like Madrid become interested.
  8. Right now, at this particular moment in time, he's our best option for his position. I know you've been dreading his reported contract extension, but I'm okay with it. It doesn't mean that he's a nailed on starter for the entire time. Now, don't get me wrong, I think Christiansen is the future (which is why I'm not in favour of getting a new CB in). Personally (and I know I'm in the minority), I prefer Chelsea FC with Luiz in the dressing room.
  9. I'm not knocking Christiansen, but if that was Luiz, this place would be in melt-down.
  10. Morata, please, if you can't score from a header.....that's your thing.
  11. Emerson hasn't really been covering himself in glory with his chance.
  12. I noticed that the other day too. He had just come on as a sub and he was reflective. I guess he's just a sweaty mofo.
  13. Keita's a beast. I don't mind saying it. Well, I mind, but I have to admit it.
  14. I didn't know that. I've only seen him on the left where he's so effective at cutting in. I assumed it was his natural position. Does he play on the right because that's where we need a body (like Willian), or is he a natural RW?
  15. Exactly. It's not about Moses for CHO. Willian is a LW too. He always plays on the right because we have Hazard. It's Willian for CHO It seems that what Moses can do at RW is try to cut inside, forget he has no left foot, then try to get to the byline and slam the ball off someone not wearing a Chelsea shirt. I'm actually more interested in seeing Cesc in the Jorginho role.
  16. I'm not that disappointed in the line-up. Except for Kovacic and Azpi, everyone else is the second choice at that position (I think Willian is much better on the left cutting in). If RLC was fit, It would have been nice to see him in for Kovacic.
  17. Don't forget the legal troubles with our team doctor. When he was asked to stop parking the bus, that didn't mean drive around throwing everyone under it.
  18. https://statsbomb.com/2018/09/sarris-chelsea-are-just-getting-started/
  19. I agree with you. But, I think that AC will play with Cahill tomorrow. That's my guess. I, like most, would rather see AC + Ampadu.
  20. At least two players that started on Thursday and Sunday will play on Wednesday. He's clearly reluctant to give some players a chance. Alonso, Kante, and Jorginho all need a day off. But, yes, I agree with you, I don't think he'll rotate much. Realistically, I think it's going to look like last Thursday's line-up, but with Cahill in for Rudiger, and Moses for Pedro.
