I think Oscar is the main reason why Mata is on the bench.The Brazilian has been in terrific form and has been doing well defensively as well.Jose could play Mata on the wings but since we know that's not his preferred position,the probability of him not performing well is high and as a result can get overlooked as we have plenty of wingers. So I guess we all including Mata must be really patient and not panic yet.We still have a lot of games to play in December and I am pretty sure that Oscar will feature in all of them.The minute Oscar stops performing for us,Jose will give Mata the nod and play him for sure.

The board should start a academy type of policy,where at least 2 players get the opportunity to make it in the first team with having played a minimum number of minutes each season.

the fact that we have a very wealthy owner explains why our youth are not getting a chance.Now don't get me wrong,I am not complaining or blaming Roman for the current academy situation at the club.It's just that when managers have the luxury to spend around 30m+ each transfer window, they then try to forget about the academy as they want already developed players who can make a quick impact. Also the change of managers almost every season has made the situation worse.So now since we have Jose and know that he's here for the long run.splashing out money every season should not be an option.If Jose believes that our young players aren't good enough then that's just his decision and since no one can dispute it,we all will accept but since that really isn't the case,the young players should be given more insurance about their future at this club by gradually giving them chances. We have spent a lot to get these players and develop them so I don't understand why the club overlook them for other players in the market.The only reason why they are being overlooked is because the other clubs are giving a CHANCE for their own players to showcase their talents.If we do the same and showcase the talent we have,then I am sure that other clubs and their fans will be drooling over the prospect of signing our players.

The problem is that many fans here want impact players as they are too impatient with the group of young potential players we already have.

I feel 40m is just too much,I know we are in desperate need for a class pivot player but 40m is just not the price to pay.

If he wants to succeed here,he'll have to adapt to a role in the pivot.Now if he doesn't want to do that then its totally understandable as its not his natural position and therefore should leave in January. Just can't see him flourishing as a winger for Chelsea.

pretty sure you'll get behind Jose when we'll start winning 3+ games in a row. Just get behind the club and manager and stop complaining because Jose is not going anywhere.He belongs here and deserves SUPPORT from all of us not just because of his past merits but for his achievements,love and admiration for the club. There are very few managers who get attached to the club they work for. Benitez got us results but the guy hated the club and was one heartless manager.Lets just be happy that we have Jose and not overreact.
