Maybe but discrediting Morata's goal just because he came on against tiring legs is silly.
-
Didn't realize he's already 27! Anyway, he should win the POTY - not the club's - on the fact that he's having to do a 2-man's job all season!
-
Where has the Conte in the last 2 games come from? Looked miserable for most of 2018 but was definitely back in the game in the last 3-4 days. Surprised everyone by going 2 strikers up top at Burnley and it worked and his mid-game changes against Southampton today was quick, decisive and spot on.
-
Yup, he did. Think Guardiola made a similar complaint some years back? Said the grass was too long or something like that.
-
Am continue to be flabbergasted by Fabregas (excuse the near-pun there ). Offers nothing in attack these days and is absolutely useless in defensive situations. How can Conte tolerate the fact that he just jogs back every single time when we have to defend? Doesn't even look bothered to put in the effort to intercept, block!

I get what you're saying but aren't we all getting a little picky now with these trivial explanations as to why Morata or whoever else get their goal? In the same vain, one could argue that Giroud got his goals against Southampton last weekend because they sat so deep and started panicking when the pressure was really on them.
-
Finishing with his feet still needs work/time obviously but am just happy that he scored.
-
If there's one thing that annoys me about them is their tendency to overplay the backheels and 1-2s. Sometimes, it looks as they want to do so for the sake of it rather than just make effective, more efficient plays.

Biggest question is - who's gonna park the bigger bus?

But what's the point if he doesn't breed winning mentality by constantly playing down the importance of winning trophies - even if it's the League Cup or FA Cup?

Chelsea star Eden Hazard admits he hasn’t played well for two months
-
Meh. Has shown he can build decent teams and play good stuff but no thanks, I think. Seems to bottle it when it REALLY matters. The League Cup final, two FA Cup semi finals, two Premier League title races, the game against Juventus.
-
Conte should be sacked on the spot if he starts with Zappacosta at LWB!
-
For all the good work Pochettino does, he really is a proper bottle job when the pressure is really on.
-
Not sure how to feel about that. Mourinho has won all but 2 of his cup finals while Conte has lost all of his. That said, Conte has generally got things right against Mourinho except in last season's loss at OT and this season's second half at OT.
-
But this isn't about Conte, is it? Of all the candidates out there, who do you think is best to replace Conte?
-
But we won't make it. Spurs and Liverpool have a very favorable run-in and we haven't even gone to Newcastle! Liverpool (3rd, 71 pts) Stoke (h) Chelsea (a) Brighton (h) Spurs (4th, 68 pts) Watford (h) West Brom (a) Newcastle (h) Leicester (h) Chelsea (5th, 63 pts) Swansea (a) Liverpool (h) Huddersfield (h) Newcastle (a)

I guess you see it differently but all of our targets present high risks and I am not convinced by a single one of them at all.
-
Yes but we could have easily sacked him anyway given how bad things have been in 2018 but we have not done so. Putting this Conte situation aside, who else have we not given time to turn things around in the past? You could make a case for Ancelotti but the rest got sacked with good reasons. Am all for backing the manager to get us out of trouble if there are good reasons for it. Otherwise, you risk backing for the sake of backing and ending up with a situation like Wenger at Arsenal.
-
All the targets out there are crap anyway. It's just a matter of choosing the best from an average bunch.
