I think that would depend on who we get in the Champions League group stage. One thing is for sure, Mata should definitely be rested when the Carling Cup gets underway.

Not sure resting him around the November period would be a good idea because we'll be playing United, City, Liverpool and Fulham all at home during that time. Probably better to rest him in December when the fixtures are a bit lighter and with us heading to the CWC too.

Why on earth would we want to buy Hernandez when he offers nothing else than what we already have? Hernandez is basically a typical poacher where if you can give him the chances/services, then he will score. If not, he is totally non-existent because he just doesn't get involved in the buildup play. Torres is very similar to him, only he does better in the link up play but even then, having Torres upfront is problematic too. We need a striker who is more of all rounder and perhaps more importantly, someone who offers something different to what we already have. Absolutely pointless having 2-3 same kind of strikers in one team!

Some people really need to be careful with what they wish for. Before you know it, we'll be crying out for him to start games and then praising him for his performances, like last season.
