  1. Wasn't pretty or spectacular but an arguably solid win over a Norwich side who have only lost once at home in the league this season. Happily take the 1-0 win home and run.
  2. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1277631/cesar-azpilicueta:-marseille-spell-readied-me-for-chelsea-pressure?cc=4716 Just only remembered earlier that Sunday's 8-0 win over Aston Villa was his 1st win in 7 Premier league starts for the club.
  3. Who knows when the club is being managed by some clowns?
  4. Of course if they are gonna to stay, then Cole and Lampard have to take a wage cut but how serious is the club in offering them a contract extension? It's like they don't really bother that much.
  5. Some bit of hint regarding possible transfers in January. Read last 3 paragraphs in the link below. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/dec/25/rafael-benitez-chelsea-fans
  6. Tottenham have announced that they extended Brad Friedel's, a 41 year old, contract till 2014 while our club here wants to dump Cole(32 y/o) and Lampard(34 y/o) when they still have some good use out of the club.
  7. After the rubbish news on Lampard in The Sun, here's a BS one from Daily Star about Terry...[ http://www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/289810/John-Terry-on-his-way-out-of-Chelsea/
  8. Don't see the need to have another separate thread when in the end, we'll just be talking about Lampard's contract situation. Merged.
  9. Just because some players are not wanted by their club, it doesn't mean they're all thrash automatically. Some are still quality and probably just need to go to a club that fits them both on and off the pitch.
  10. Other clubs' garbage? Think that is a harsh, especially in this case.
  11. Personally, I would prefer us getting him on loan especially the possibility of paying high wages if we were to buy him. Short term wise, he can be a solution till next summer at the very least. Long term wise though, it could be an issue. No doubt he's still a quality player but I'm just not 100% certain if he's still as quality as before though he might be better and more consistent than Torres at the moment. Arguably, would prefer to us getting a younger ST who is approaching their peak to replace Torres especially that he isn't getting any younger either. Already 28 and wouldn't want to have 2 over 30s strikers with no resale value. Get that younger ST and have Lukaku with possibly another ST would be ideal for the future. True but Benitez might be using his Spanish connections to try and get him.
  12. We are being linked with David Villa here...
  13. Right! Lost my memory there for a second. Cheers.
  14. Pardon me if I'm being outdated here but who exactly are the younghusbands?
  15. There's no way we can fit them all in especially with the likes of Mata, Oscar, De Bruyne, McEachran etc all around. Don't be so dramatic!
  16. OMG! WTH is with the expression?!
  17. This was taken last year but....
  18. Is it just me or does that just feel awkward? Except for Luiz, when the rest wished 'Merry Christmas', it just felt so tense and formal.
  19. How did you come to that? Do people always feel the need to pick out something negative when the team seems to be moving in a positive direction?! I don't think for one moment Hazard bothers whether he can outshine Mata or not. In a team that is filled with so many creative and flair players as well as playing good attacking football like we're doing now, I don't think he or anyone for that matter would even bother worrying about outshining others. He or others would be enjoying themselves playing together with these players, have fun on the pitch, tear up the oppositions and bang in the goals for the team. In addition, despite Mata not being much older than Hazard, I'm sure the latter is more than happy to be learning a few things from the former and likewise as well. If you want to talk about Hazard not being happy, it's probably just Hazard's nature that he doesn't smile too much or has this serious look on him while playing but anyone can see the joy and happiness in him when he scores.
  20. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=1277446&cc=4716 Reports spreading in Italy that Sneijder could well be joining Spurs in January!
