In terms of last season, don't think many can criticize how RDM utilized the squad and the way he went about setting us up to play. It helped us to achieve what we achieved. This season though, despite implementing a more attacking style, RDM did receive his fair share of criticisms in here. Team's poor defensive organization, playing attacking style but seem to lack a genuine plan/approach, late substitutions, lack of rotations etc are among some of it.

So? Don't think many of us care about what the media thought about we play. They never like us to begin with anyway.

Have read so much of that nonsense since winning the Champions League. Really could not care less about how and what people think of how we play to win the Champions League. People are deluded to brand us a defensive team and one who parks the bus in just 2-3 matches. Ask all these people how many of them would want to be our position. Many of them would want to deep down inside their heart. Also, how come no one mention the matches where we put 4 past Napoli, 5 past Spurs at Wembley?! Who on earth in their right mind will try to play an open game and attack against Barcelona and even Bayern Munich especially in their own back yard?! We did what was within our means to achieve the results and we did that. Week in week out, look what happened to teams who tried to take the game to Barcelona. They ended up getting hammered. Real Madrid losing 5-0 to them was probably a prime example. And look at what happened under AVB against Arsenal. Tried to play an attacking style football with a high defensive line and we got hammered 5-3 at home! Furthermore, we have played better football in previous years in the Champions League and still come unstuck in the competition. If it means playing this so called defensive football to win the Champions League, then so be it.

There's nothing on the punishment yet. We have until Tuesday 6pm UK time to respond to it. Nothing has been decided yet.

Wenger brought them on in the second half when the game was at 2-2.

Mentioned earlier, all the supposed targets of Roman are not available right now and all for similar reasons. Simeone's Atletico Madrid are flying high in La Liga, in the Copa Del Rey and in with a good shout to defend their Europa League title. Klopp's Dortmund maybe far behind Bayern in the Bundesliga but they're still in the German Cup and look capable of doing something special in the Champions League. For Mourinho, he wouldn't leave Madrid, not now unless he gets the sack. All those targets are not possible to get at least till in the summer. If you wanna employ someone unemployed now, who would be good enough to manage us? Avram Grant? Alan Curbishley? Gareth Southgate? There's hardly anyone out there good enough to manage us. And even then, these are all just 2nd tier managers and Roman is likely to kick them out come the summer and replace with some big name manager. Can't even bother to debate properly and now you're suddenly committing ad hominem! TBF to him a bit, don't think he has any say regarding transfers at all. It's the board who decides all of this. He might have asked for Essien or De Bruyne etc to return but club rejected it. Who knows? He could and should probably try playing 1-2 youngsters from the academy but don't think he has much authority in regards to the in and out transfers.
