  1. Speaking of age, I'm surprised that Alex only aged somewhere between 17 to 21. Thought he's older than that! That is unless he is faking it.
  2. Merged with the old thread (again). By the way, try to avoid quoting news from caughtoffside. They are not a reliable news source at all.
  3. Made an inviting deal by saying they want De Bruyne? Isn't it already made well known that Dortmund want him anyway?? And how is that even inviting for us??? They can have De Bruyne BUT only on loan. Him going the other way permanently should not be an option. Moreover, it is understandable that Dortmund would want to sell Lewandowski to other clubs except Bayern but not believing that story much considering it's been reported by Daily Star, where their stories are often rubbish!
  4. Sorry. Just mentioned those that came to mind earlier. Apologies.
  5. Last London derby in the league this season and here's how the mini-league looks like... Also, Spurs have scored in all but 1 of their league away matches this season, the 0-0 draw they had against QPR at Loftus Road.
  6. Think that was Hazard who watches Naruto..
  7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFve84LxlpI https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oD4ovtGpj_A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TE6FHgiYbFQ Neil Barnett mentioned our history quite a bit to Benitez. EDIT: Great! Beaten to it by 5 minutes!!
  8. Any point in that? Both him and Terry's contract are expiring next summer and there is a strong possibility they might be released then. And even if we appoint Cole, we'll be deciding on a new captain very soon again after that.
  9. One important thing we have to do here; DO NOT LET BALE SHOOT FROM DISTANCE! The amount of times he has been given the time and space to shoot and score from the middle by oppositions have been ridiculous. We can't give him that. Otherwise, we'll be in massive trouble! And personally, I'm not sure about playing Lampard in the pivot for this one. He's not exactly comfortable when the opposition starts to press him preventing him time and space to operate, which many have pointed out before but then again we don't have lots of option to play in there. Just do not want to see Luiz in there. Would prefer to have him in CB for this one because he's our main CB that actually can be proactive and steps out to make challenges or intercept a ball in the space in front of the back 4, especially if Bale (or any other fellas) break past our pivot to get into that position and wanting to shoot from there. Having a pairing from Ivanovic, Cahill or Terry at CB will be asking for trouble as they are the kind of defenders who will back off when players run at them, almost inviting them to shoot and wait till they get into the box before tackling them. A recipe for disaster that. Play Luiz with either 1 of them at CB.
  10. Disagree. If he plays in the pivot, he won't be having that much time and space to pick out the passes like the ones highlighted on MOTD. The fact that he was able to do so is because he's playing at CB and teams normally don't press us that high up the pitch, only till the midfield more often than not, and therefore giving him more time and space to run into and play in those incisive/decisive passes.
  11. You decide. Mike Dean is decent but also has moments where he mess things up.
  12. Mike Dean will be officiating this game, in case anyone do not know about it yet. EDIT: Incidentally, he also officiated the reverse fixture at WHL back in October.
  13. Tomorrow's Daily Mail...

  15. Not surprising because IF Spurs win on Wednesday, Arsenal will drop down to 5th. So, they are basically hoping we beat them or at least avoid defeat. Same target for us really.
  16. Read the post above yours.
  17. Posted this in the 'Looking at our last 8 games' thread. The first goal here will be absolutely crucial. And we can become the only team in the league this season to do the double over them.

  20. To say we have always get lucky is a total overstatement!
  21. Current league standings: 3. Chelsea - P35 68 points (GD +34) 4. Arsenal - P36 67 points (GD +31) 5. Spurs - P35 65 points (GD +18) Remaining league matches: Chelsea - Tottenham(H), Aston Villa(A) and Everton(H) Arsenal - Wigan(H) and Newcastle(A) Spurs - Chelsea(A), Stoke(A) and Sunderland(H) Now that we have beaten United, all we need now is to beat Spurs and we would have sealed a place in a place in the Top 4. We will then be 6 points clear of them with 2 games left and have a way better GD. They are not gonna overturn that massive goal difference of 17 (assuming we beat them by 1 goal at least). Only need 1 point then from the Villa or Everton game, if want to be perfectly safe. If not, then we must at least avoid defeat here and maintain that 3 point gap. On the other hand, IF Spurs win on Wednesday, then Arsenal will drop down to 5th! That said, it would obviously be best for us to just beat Spurs and seal a Top 4 finish, be done with it. Don't want to experience any nervy and jittery moments in the final 2 games. Can also then focus on the Europa League Final.
  22. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xzm53i_manchester-united-vs-chelsea-0-1-juan-mata_sport?search_algo=2#.UYajIlceP3g Watching that goal again, could say 'FINALLY!' after Mata actually take a shot at goal as opposed to just pass pass pass and killing any chance to trouble United's goal.
