Because of it, Rubin got an undeserved goal and it's a lifeline for them in this tie. Decent result anyway. Speaking of Rubin, was quite surprised how average they look. I know they aren't a top quality side but did expect better from them. Were they this rubbish against Atletico and got lucky or were Atletico just bad in that tie??

Despite Torres's good performance yesterday, definitely still want Ba to start here. Do not want to take the risk with Torres as he may end up playing rubbish again! We know what we'll get from Ba on Sunday and it's needed especially Sunderland are likely to react in a positive manner after PDC's appointment.

Any surprises? Given he is facing Mourinho again, the media are bound to ask him questions about it. He said what he wanted to about his relationship with Jose etc and the media just reported the way it is. It's not like they twist his words or anything and it just so happens this comes at a time when all this Mourinho are running rife. Just don't see what is wrong with it, whether it adds to the story or not.

Get where you're coming from but have you read his interviews elsewhere and not just in Sky Sports? There is a reason why the media published what they did, non-story or not.

Maybe not directly but somewhat indirectly yes. His 3rd goal against Reading at the Bridge this season which put us 3-2 up. Want Benitez to rest the key players here and prepare for Sunderland on Sunday but he ain't gonna do that since he only bothers about his CV! So, we have City in the FA Cup semi final 3 days after the 2nd leg next week. If we don't get a positive result here, Benitez will play the big guns away in Russia next Thursday and then flog them to death against City. Basically, we need to try win this though I would probably not bother too much if we lose...
