  1. BREAKING: FERGIE IS RETIRING!!
  2. Think it meant Luiz being a leader and helping these players to settle in and performing well for us. And Ramires did struggle rather badly during the 1st half of the season when we signed him in 2010/11 season but improved in the 2nd half of it, coinciding with the time Luiz joined us then.
  3. Erm, we might go get and appoint Moyes as our next manager...
  4. True. Can see where you're coming from but it would seem rather difficult for Moyes to start doing that suddenly when he's been so comfortable at being manager for years now. Just to add in too, he has previously mentioned his liking for the Bundesliga and given Schalke have a vacancy at the end of the season, he might consider going there.
  5. There are rumours today saying Fergie wants to appoint David Moyes as his assistant coach. Not sure why Moyes would suddenly want to become an assistant though.
  6. And there is this news too...
  7. He did say "some English clubs love me" before that though, almost suggesting others might have approached him.
  8. It's either Fergie is really gonna retire or the journalists reporting the stories are gonna be banned from his press conferences..
  9. No. It wasn't even a foul whatsoever. You can clearly see Ramires won the ball fairly with his right foot, had his left foot on the ground first before Rooney eventually kicks it himself and went down. Never a free kick.
  10. Sir Alex Ferguson considering retiring as Manchester United manager before end of the week
  11. We certainly need everyone to be discipline and do their job properly especially the pivot. Can't allow the back 4 to be exposed from the front because Spurs do play rather narrow particularly if Lennon isn't playing.
  12. Don't care about that. Just hope we beat Spurs tomorrow and get the Top 4 job done and dusted. No final days jittery please!
  13. The maturation of David Luiz
  14. Well, the fun was good while it lasted. Thanks a lot Swansea... On the downside though, Stoke are safe now and they might not even bother when they face Spurs this Sunday.
  15. Oh yes yes. Lets buy more young players and then later go on to complain that we don't give our youngsters a chance to play...
  16. Leif got that information from here I believe. http://swissramble.blogspot.ch/2013/05/uefa-prize-money-rhapsody-in-blue.html
  17. Yes but because it's Benitez, people seem to be getting on his case more. Even in Mourinho's last 44 games, we drew against the likes of Reading, Rosenborg, Fulham, Wycombe Wanderers etc.
  18. It happens sometimes. And Benitez didn't even say anything specifically about who's coming in. If you watch his press conference, Benitez basically just said a new manager will be here next season because he's leaving. He then just mentioned "I think everybody knows who will be here". When being asked whether it's Mourinho, he then replied "I just want to concentrate on my job now". That's it really.
  19. If Benitez win those games, people will say "Oh. It's only the Europa League. All small and easy teams to beat. No tough teams.". Lose those games, people will slam him for not beating these supposed lesser teams. Anyway, forget the same number of wins Mourinho and Benitez have there. The big difference in the amount of defeats there is enough to say who is better given the oppositions faced by both in that run of matches.
  20. Giving him credit? No. He's a manager after all and doing things like that are common for every manager. And as I said, I'm not even sure why are people reading so much into what Benitez said there. He's just like jumping into the bandwagon and say what the media has said in recent weeks and not adding anything new. Yet, people get all so excited as if he has confirmed Mourinho is returning.
  21. Or maybe he's just trying to deflect the attention from tomorrow's massive game and reduce the pressure on the players. Now, everyone is talking about Mourinho returning, again.
  22. Maybe. Maybe not. Am just somewhat surprised he answered the question considering he has always avoided answering such questions when being asked previously. No but nothing Benitez said there suggests he has any background info and it's just basing his comments on all these Mourinho returning stories that have been running rife. Nothing more. People are just getting all excited because they are desperate for Mourinho to return (I'm hoping for it too) but we shouldn't read too much into this really. It doesn't even confirm what we want to know!
  23. Not sure why are people getting all excited because of what Benitez said there in regards to who our next manager is. He's likely to be saying just them based on the signs and indications that the media have pointed about Mourinho returning WITHOUT any confirmation news/stories whatsoever. It's not like he has said it because of some background information he has.
  24. Great to hear Hazard is back available for tomorrow's game. And Romeu too! But doubt the latter will play in it despite what Benitez said given the magnitude and importance of the game.
