He seem to suggest 3. Said he will make couple of changes or 3.

The most hilarious thing coming from the presser was Jose giving that translator a hard time to translate his long long answers and everyone's reaction to it. The room broke into laughter twice and the journalists even applaud that translator. Double Mourinho did give him one of the two training kits he was wearing on though and it was a personally signed one too after the presser. And this. Triple

We should know more in Mourinho's presser in a few hours time, taking place at 1pm UK time.
-
Easy to say that but difficult to carry it out. Would cause problems alright especially with Roman around...
-
Yeah but the problem, as we all know, is finding a buyer willing to pay his ridiculous high wages. We are stuck with him and suffering because of that.
-
Oh yes Cahill, we have definitely kept a lot of clean sheets this season. 9 shut outs in 23 games is certainly a lot...
-
5 in 23 games in all competitions - Everton, Newcastle, Stoke and Basel (twice). And you could probably point 2 of those losses being undeserved.
-
I understand where you are coming from but it just seems strange that you get turned so easily when before you were quite adamant in defending him especially against those that questioned Mourinho. And the funny thing now is that, the doubts you are having on Mourinho now is rather similar to what others have had before and it was only like weeks ago.
-
This is not an attack on you or anything but seems like you have taken a complete opposite view of judging Mourinho all of a sudden.

Just realized there is the Phil Jones emoticon in the forum now!

Just to paint a picture of our defensive problems this season... We have kept only 9 clean sheets in 23 matches this season in all competitions and only 4 of those are from the Premier League. 15 league games in, we have kept just the 4 clean sheets which is exactly the same tally Crystal Palace has and who is in 19th place! Worse of all, Palace's 4 league clean sheets have come in their last 5 games. We kept 3 in first 5 Premier League games, then 1 in last 10.

6-1. Lampard scored 4 of it. And we were under Avram Grant then. Scary...

The point is Mourinho is consistent in terms of going along the line of what he has been saying all along. Should not even be a surprise that Lukaku wasn't mentioned there.
-
But even then, before this whole thing with Lukaku started, Mourinho has always said that only we, Arsenal, United, City, Liverpool and Spurs are title challengers despite Everton and Southampton doing well so far. The picture now has changed slightly of course but that was he has emphasized before. It's not like he decidedly mention those strikers from City, Arsenal, Liverpool without any rationale or thinking behind it.

Mourinho set for crash course with Abramovich

An understatement. We have played 23 games in all competitions this season and Ramires has played in 22 of them with only 2 of those coming as sub appearances in the League Cup. Even that one game he missed was because of suspension in the Champions League. Otherwise, he would have played in all of them.

We have been drawn to face Derby County at Pride Park in the FA Cup 3rd Round. Tie to be played on 4th/5th January.

As embarrassing as it may looks, it's nonsensical to say it's an epic failure if we lose out the title to them, just because it's Wenger, Arsenal and their failure in the past 8 years. Arsenal are simply doing well because they are benefiting from the stability at the club (Wenger staying at the club, no players leaving etc) while the other challengers have gone through changes in the summer, be it in the squad and/or managers. It should not be a surprise if they profit from that come end of the season. Hardly Mourinho's fault when the board hasn't addressed the evident issues we have been having for the past 2-3 years. And we may have spent more money than Arsenal but like it or not, they have arguably spent better in ensuring their squad is balance from back to front. They may need 1-2 players to boost the depth in certain areas but overall, they have the right players in every position, at least more so than us. In terms of positions, only our AMs can really be compared to theirs and probably followed by the defence and goalkeepers.

It's probably because he just came back from injury hence the rustiness but bloody hell, he was extremely poor after coming on. His decision making and thinking were completely off the pace and the number of times he tried to take on players when a pass was the better option was ridiculous. Ended up losing the balls so many times and of course, one of them led Stoke's winner.

Don't think anyone is really overreacting. So typical of people to say others overreact after a defeat like this. People are just annoyed and frustrated at our inconsistency, which is justifiable given the up and down results we have had recently. And nobody is expecting us to win like 5-0 every game but certainly with a good squad like ours, to do better than what we are doing right now. Being joint-second is one thing but that doesn't even begin to tell the whole story and oh, we could well be 7 points behind Arsenal tomorrow. No one wants to settle for second best or average-ness especially with this squad.
-
I understand the reason for rotation here but we certainly gotta be careful with it. Need the 3 points here to win the group so that we will avoid the big guns in the Last 16.
-
Yeah but doesn't detract that we have been performing like Jekyll and Hyde this season..

He seem to have gone back into his hibernation. Missing chances that comes his way, looks slow and immobile as well as giving that disinterested feel again judging by the body language.
