I get what you're saying but to put in another way rather than discrediting Mata, quality players are gonna look less quality when you are playing with average players. Put the likes of Hazard or Oscar in another team like Crystal Palace and I don't think you'll see the same level of performances like now.

Crystal Palace are really doing well under Tony Pulis despite having arguably the worst and most limited squad in the league right now. Under Pulis, they have won 5, drawn 1 and lost 5. Now sitting in 14th and 5 points above the bottom 3. All their 5 wins have been 1-0, 2-0, 1-0, 1-0 and 1-0. And to put into context, their 4 of 5 losses came against Chelsea, Newcastle, Man City and Tottenham. The other defeat was against Norwich.
