Maybe but we did have some decent moments under AVB and at least, some of the players were still performing then and had better quality, if anything, to make a difference as opposed to United. Their stagnation is arguably even worse than ours in 2011/12 or 2010/11 for that matter.- 142 replies

You know, it would be nice if all this trash talking can stop and actually, talk about the game itself tonight. I mean it's only like nearly 9 hours away...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kzaPyRdiCpU&feature=youtu.be Mourinho on Azpilicueta: "Azpilicueta is the kind of player I like a lot. I think a team with 11 Azpilicuetas could win the competition (Champions League) because football is not just about the pure talent, football is also about the character and personality and Azpilicueta has all that traits of a winning personality." Mourinho on Oscar: "Oscar is a different profile. He has a fantastic talent, he plays his second year at Chelsea, plays more or less his second year with the Brazilian national team, so he's coming step by step. Physically, he needs time to put himself in top condition. Tactically, he is a very open boy that wants to learn and technically, he's a typical Brazilian talent. So, Oscar has everything to make some history in the competition (Champions League)."

Never mind the travelling, think any of the other 7 teams in the quarter finals wouldn't mind facing whoever that wins this tie. I get what you mean but why would we even bother of this rescuer of English football in Europe thing? We'll just go out there and play our game and see where it takes us.
-
If Mourinho thinks Oscar is suffering from drop in form, fatigue and doesn't think he should play for now, then I don't see why that has to change like even for tonight in the Champions League despite his good past showings in Europe. After all, you could say that Oscar has previously done well then is because he was playing well and at least in some form.

Even in our 'bad moment' under Ancelotti (second season) and AVB, it never got this bad for us.....- 142 replies

But they might well just go spam other threads and besides, it's unfair on the other members not being able to have proper discussions if we lock of the thread just because of these idiots.

We've forgiven Suarez, so why can't Terry be player of the year?

Hilarious United put in an abject performance like this after they were talking so much about repeating our feat from 2 years ago. And not to mention, Moyes said this 2 days ago...

You know, if Man United and Arsenal are not careful, they could soon find themselves in Pot 2 for the Champions League group stage draw. In United's case, that is if and when they get back into the competition in the future.

All 3 English teams have lost 2-0 in the Champions League Last 16 first leg ties. Time for us to carry the pride of England again?
