We all know he is past his form during the Liverpool days but least we want to see is maximum effort from him in every game and if he does that, then he could still do decently for us. However, we all know that is not the case. Goes AWOL 3 1/2 quarter of the time and only turn up when he fancies it. His injury may play a part in his downfall but would also throw in the mental aspect as well. Seems as though the strength of it, the know-how, intelligence of being a ST has completely gone out of the window altogether. And let's not forget that Torres has mentioned several times before that he thanked the fans for their support and wanted to repay their faith but what happened in the end? His words end up spoke louder than his actions, rather than the other way around. Am aware that he has been getting 'bad comments' from fans but that is just based on his time here at the club. Nobody is discrediting him for what he has achieved (or not achieved) in his career.

But then you hear Mourinho talking about Schurrle dropping back to midfield to help with ball retention etc... Quite a turn around. When I posted that link then, it was only 2% for him IIRC.

Hazard should probably just shut his mouth about this PSG talk knowing full well that the media, especially the French lot, will turn and twist his words to suit their own agenda.

Pray that is all part of just being diplomatic from Mourinho. He has criticized the strikers. He knows the problems with them (like who doesn't) but can't keep on doing that forever especially in this crucial run-in. Also need them onside to achieve our aims anyway and if they have any self-respect, they would perform in the remaining matches, whenever called upon, after Mourinho's comments though I'm not getting my hopes up on that.

The new home kit looks decent but not a fan of it. Meh. Never really like shirts with lines/stripes on it. Interested to see how would the away kits look like.

Comparing the Torres situation with Carroll is just nonsensical. At least with the latter, he is still a decent striker, has his uses, not completely washed up and doesn't command a high fee/wages like Torres does. With Torres, teams would basically be taking risks because we can already see how useless he is (except for his annoying fanboys/girls!) and the fact he is on 175k p/w (which is just preposterous!) scares them off and probably make them think thrice before taking him!

When a player gets criticized publicly by the manager, one would think the player will respond with a proper performance on the pitch but with Torres, he doesn't seem to have any decency or self respect to do that. Was his useless self last night, stuck in his own shell and didn't even try to prove Mourinho wrong. Absolute garbage!
